I never spend anything on hermes and I got my 3 birkins (1 B35 Gold, 1 B30 black rose gold hardware + 1 B25 sellier etoupe) without appointments very easily perhaps because I am french I don’t know?

Congrats on the bag but your experience really isn’t out of the norm. You spent nearly 1:1 for a 30. Given you’re a new client this is not unusual esp if you’re not at a competitive store. It’s very likely subsequent bags will require much more effort. I’ve seen enough cases where they hook you in and then the next bag is 2-4x spend. Sm do need to approve the bag btw.

Exciting for you and your honesty on your journey. You're so right that everyone's experience is different. I, myself, had to wait 18 mos for my sellier 30 but my prespend was under like you too. I just have an intentional spending plan because I want it to be memorable so I didn't mind the wait.

I’ve had this bag for about a year now and I have to say I agree with your cons to the T! Great video. Using two layers of Obenauf’s and then buffing it out with a microfiber after it dries got out most of the scratches on it for me and restored the sheen. I wouldn’t recommend using it on anything other than black handbags as it tends to darken the leather. I also wouldn’t use it on lambskin. As far as cleaning goes coach leather cleaner has never let me down.

Do you have an issue with the snap buttons coming undone easily?

Congrats! Kelly 28 is a good size. Offers these days really seem to be coming for a lot of clients. H is making a lot more black and gold bags these days. Increase in offers is likely the result of less people shopping h and luxury. At some stores like Madison competition is as high as ever. Some boutiques also make it easier to get the first bag but then expect clients to spend significantly more for the subsequent next few. You’re lucky you got into the h journey this year. Had this been 2021 or 22 you’d have been waiting a lot longer. As long as you spend h will give you a bag. It doesn’t matter who the person is all they care about is the spend imo.

I’m catching up on your videos, so you may have already looked into the SO watch but I have one and very highly recommend it! (It doesn’t have to be special order, I recommend an H watch in general-the SO just made it more fun and it has my initials engraved) What I LOVE about the watch is you can swap out the straps so easily. One SA at my store said, “this must have been designed by a woman” because it’s so practical. The only problem is you will want a strap in every color, though for Hermes I do not think the straps are expensive! Happy to provide more info if you want 😊
