& we couldn’t hear him. His mic was duff, so we all started shouting. You could see McCartney’s confusion. Got fixed & it was brilliant.
Buddy forgot LiveAid was one of- if not the most televised show in the history of television 💀
1.8 Billion worldwide audience.
Sightings of a black clad Japanese lady hovering around the sound board at this exact moment cannot be confirmed.. 🤭
Bob is a legend! Thank you for all the amazing songs and for ‘The fine art of surfacing ’ album!! Classic stuff!
Jesus, Santa's got a hangover.
Sir Bob. Legend ❤
Paul had done several major tours with Wings!!😂🎵🎸.x
Wings final concert was in 1979. Lennon died about a year later. Not really the zinger you thought you had.
BEFORE 1980. He disbanded wings after his stay in a Japanese jail. He didn't TOUR again till 1989.
I was playing cricket that day so missed most of it.
Never forget Primark Gate at Highlands Park.
Paul from above helped Billy out yet again.
Fourth rate pop star comments on Paul McCartney.
I only watched this because it's title mentioned the Legend Paul McCartney. Everything else is just boring dribble by talentless egotistical idiots. I have never forgotten when Evans thought he was so big that he tried trashing certain singing artists, including Macca. And Geldof tried using the second Live Aid as a launch pad for his own flagging career, of which pissed Midge Ure off.
Would never have recognised Geldof.
Russel Brand summed him up perfectly:
'It's no wonder Bob Geldof knows so much about famine - he's been dining out on I Don't Like Mondays for 30 years'
And for ten points what was the other Number 1 single for Boomtown Rats?
@@carnivalimusic I spoke to him once at the back of the Ardwick Apollo, Manchester and got a big poster signed by all members of the group.. He was alright, it surprised me how nice he was. It was on the 'Tonic for the Troops' tour.
Was it 'Rat Trap'?
Well he has released a half dozen pretty good solo albums that are totally worthwhile. And has remained sane as well unlike your conspiracy theory ex comedian friend.😅
@@noelmaher6218 I think you'll find it difficult for anyone to name one hit off ANY of his solo albums.
Sane?
More than be said for anyone whose lives revolved around him. Peaches and Paula Yates? *insert silly smiley here*
@@ramalama9650 The Great Song of Indifference 2.3 Million views on RUclips. So obviously some people are paying attention and actually know something about Geldof's solo music aside from the multiple Top 20 hits The Boomtown Rats had.
looking sharp sir bob!!
Like he’s been living in a cardboard box on the streets .
Brilliant man?? I really wouldn't go near that word when mentioning Gedolf.
@@PerformingArtsRU Who he? Maybe you meant Geldof.
Bob Geldof is Dumbledore
You mean Bob Gandalf
Have you got the address bob? Fuck address!😂😂😂
Yes they were bigger acts than you Bobby..😅
Boomtown Rats great band!
Love seeing Geldof wind up Evans. 😆 Where's all the efffing and blinding Bob, or have you gone all woke and soft like Evans and most other media moguls?
Woke is good. We need more of it in this world- next level woke to consign reactionary hate to history where it belongs.
There are broadcasting standards, my friend. This is a radio show not a podcast
And the world is so much better for this Woke nonsense ? We've gone backwards because of it.
Live Aid being the only worthwhile contribution Bob Geldof has made to music.
@@aires69uk Have you never heard of The Boomtown Rats?
@@carnivalimusiconly ever heard of them in relation to Bob, and could not tell you one single song of theirs. Don't even know if I've heard any of their songs
You haven’t heard “I Don’t Like Mondays”? If not, listen to it. It’s a masterpiece. Might change your view. The Rats were not prolific but they did have a few decent tunes.
@@thevisionaries9128 Rat Trap is their other Masterpiece along with Banana Republic.
@@thevisionaries9128 I just watched the video from Live Aid. Amazing song
