First time here? 👉 bit.ly/newToBl...
We've finally settled in to our new house, so it's time to unlock the door to the Lego room and start putting the NEW Lego City together! It's going to be very different from the old city - for a start, it's going to be a shelf city! In this video we start planning the layout, arranging the modular buildings, roads and railways, and discuss some of my other upcoming plans for the lego room!

Nice start to the city ❤
Looking forward to lego block party city version 2.0
So am I!
You should think about some boards to go up against the wall behind all the buildings, resting on the uprights. They could be painted blue with clouds for a sky affect!
Wicked Brick have clear Display cabinets for Speed Champions that are wall mountable!
I’ll figure something out for behind the buildings once everything else is in. I quite like the idea of building facades out of Lego - there’s roughly an 8 stud gap behind the mils plates to play with
Great video thank you 😊 just curious why you choose the shelves your using over bookcases. Loving the city 💙 thanks!
That replica NXT UK Championship belt is awesome dude!
Great to see you back, loving the new layout as well, looks very smart! Definitely making me excited to eventually start my own Lego City, the collection is slowly growing!
I think you should just move in to Buckingham Palace to have so much room 😂😂then you will need more room I bet but I can’t wait to see where this channel goes 2.0!!
What about plastic/perspex shelving rather than solid wood shelves?
What about either in the underside of the shelf or on the back wall some LED strip lights for lighting?
Rushing the house move FM launch and FM25 gets delayed
Glad to have Lego content back. Hopefully it can help bridge the budgetary gap with the FM delay ❤
Random question but do you actually like bloc party? or did the album print just fit with your channel name?
I was a big Bloc Party fan years ago - saw them live 3-4 times. Then when we were brainstorming channel names on Chat GPT this name came up and it seemed too good not to use! I already had the Silent Alarm framed LP.
@@blockpartyuk great, thank you
chips
What about a sky and skyline built completely out of LEGO? I haven’t seen that one done before behind a modular city.
Great to have you back! Enjoy 2.0 🎉
Thanks
Depending on how much room you use for backplating on the "bit round the corner", that free space up to the lip would be a good area to add some green to your city. Climate change and all that Kev, plant some lego trees
Nice to see a new update finally. Love the casual advertisement for the network game.
I’ve been busy!
Hmm give it a year and you'll be bored of it like with the pokemon cards, then what?
Just because I stopped making Pokemon content you think I’m bored of it? Interesting.
Kev, what about the stick on strip lights that you can get for ikea. There around £6 - £18 depending on length but they may help temporarily with the mood lighting
I’ve got some LED strips on the way
Not lego related but what was the animated Mario picture up on the wall? my son would love something like that
It's a Divoom 64 bit pixel art display. You can put whatever images or animations you want on it.
@@blockpartyuk Awesome thank you
Great to see you back!
Lego City 2.0 is looking good! Maybe try LED Light strips along the bottom of the shelf above to fix the darkness problem.
You could get some good led strips maybe 1 per shelf and put them in a diffuser to sofly spread the light across the lego. I dunno if you would need 2 for each level or not depending on how lighten up you want it to be really. If get good LEDs one strip going round the shelf in a diffuser should be enough.
love the block party album cover frame the main singer went to my secondary school and i always thought of the band when seeing your channel batnz
Can't wait to see what lighting you use. When you moved in and showed these shelves I got some too. I now have a city street on one shelf and need to light it up too
Your office looks class
Thanks
Glad the Lego city/room is coming back.
Will be getting the new Batman magazine on Wednesday! 😊
Yep, it’s good to be messing around with it again
@@blockpartyuk will you be going Milton Keynes Lego Shop when the 1966 Batcave comes out
Not sure yet. We’ll definitely be somewhere, not sure if it’ll be that store though
@@blockpartyuk it would be nice to meet you one day
I’m local
Great to see you back and glad the move went well 😊
Bricksie has a solution for speed champs on his channel to get a one off display unit that can be hung on the wall
I’ll have a look, cheers
@blockpartyuk no worries happy 2 help in anyway I can
Hey kev just wondering are the modulars worth the money?
They’re my favourite sets
@blockpartyuk will you be getting the x mansion on release day?
Absolutely
The rotating project table is an excellent idea
Great video 🎉
Ahhh missed the videos and the Lego. Looking forward to things being back to ‘normal’!
Us too!
Did we get a sneak peak of the network game returning at 2:59 ?! Great space in the new house, hope you can enjoy it for a while until you get your own home bought.
Good eye. Although to be fair, it’s already been announced everywhere else!
If you have a train running below there is a cool proper size underground carriage available from a fake LEGO company
Nice
Didn’t even know you had a gaming channel, I was just here for the bricks
I’ve been a full time RUclipsr for many many years!
Looking forward to seeing how this goes. I’ve just started ordering parts for Mills plates for my speed champions race track diorama
Very fancy
Instead of using LED strips, I would think LED panels would be better for your purpose, as they spread the light more evenly. Like a sky.
They’re also a lot more expensive. It might be something I move on to long term
@@blockpartyuk Looking at what you spent on LEGO, it’s a drop on a hot plate. 😉
Those shelves just don’t work with the big pole ends. Need shelves or something with less legs
I strongly disagree. They work great.
If u put the train on the front of the shelf. U can just run it straight into the wall. And skip the curve.
I love the curve too much
Try a strip or 2 of govee rgbic leds
Fully adjustable in colour and brightness and I think the best value for money on the market
Very excited for the new lego room, good luck with it!!
I’ve got some Elgato strip lights on the way. I’m all in on the Elgato eco system at this point…
@@blockpartyuk can't wait to see them!!
Hit up Bricksie when you get the trains running, I keep telling him to check out your previous vid
They would be amazing in his new city!!
Maybe you use fairy lights to light the shelves
I don’t think they’d give enough light. I’ve got some LED strips on the way, I hope they’ll do the trick
I can’t wait to see Anna’s new room and for the streams.
First stream back should be this Friday
It would involve some creative road work but if you need to move the train curve you could put in a switch track at the corner in front of the buildings and have the track split off into the tunnel. You don't need to run the train on that spur line but it will keep your road lined up and make the tunnel entrance a bit more interesting.
I’ve not been brave enough to test if I need to move it yet!
@@blockpartyuk I think you'll be ok. Its usually the outside of the curve that causes the most issues.
