@@amooolusina6978 Wrong! When did you ever hear Bolt speak about God, before or after a race? He only performed the "sign of the cross" ritual before the start of a race. They most likey were taught to do it from childhood, by their parents who believed in catholicism. Asafa Powell is a die-hard christian. And those of us who know Powell understand that he possessed greater potential than what he demonstrated at the bigger or more significant sprinting events. Now, I'm not saying that an athlete who is a christian does not possess confidence in himself/herself. But the fact that christians are taught to love and trust God more than themselves; that nothing good happens without God, can cause them to have less confidence in their own abilities and rely more on God. @Mickeldan2 Yea I agree with your analysis! Assuming Yohan did 10 flat, then his top end was 9.26s, close to Bolt's in Berlin. When he ran 19.19 he did 9.92s and 9.27s. Michael Johnson, for his 19.32, still has the fastest top end speed. He covered the first half in 10.12s but the second half was covered in 9.20s. No matter what though, Usain Bolt ran his 19.19 just before his 23rd birthday and Yohan is almost 22. They're almost the same. Of course Bolt ran faster 100m than Blake at 22.
@@samo6083 Why do people say he has a bad start tho? I think Blake had a pretty scary start with not only that, superior endurance and top end speed that's why he kicked Tyson's ass in that 9.69 race.
no, Blake was saving energy for the straight away... thats also the reason why he reacted so slow. But I do agree with you about Dix pushing him. And great time by both of them. By far the best 200m field in history
@Snabelfaen I don't see Blake getting that fast (though the unexpected has happened before). I also can't see Blake crusing past Bolt without Bolt switching into max. gear, something I've only seen once. Finishing 19.19 with a comfortable lead is quite different from finishing with a challenger at your heel. Sounds cliche, but Bolt has a lot more speed in him (whether he will stay fit enough to use it at the right time is a different question).
@Reformed2005 i agree about the 100m thats why i am talking about the 200m which requires more endurance, i agree the rounds do help but it can bring a little fatigue once the conditioning of your body is not in top shape and believe it or not bolt was not in top shape for the 200m in berlin his endurance was much better in beijing. As we all saw in final his last 100m, he lost his form a bit and was starting to tie up at the end and still ran 19.19. In term of endurance he look better in china
The gold and silver medals on the Olimpycs games already have owners!, sorry for Tyson but he have to fight for the bronze .Asafa is very strong this season too..
Yohan Blake and Usain Bolt are training partners....so why wouldn't he be able to run this fast. Usain Bolt even described Blake as a "beast" when it comes to sprinting.
@snabelfaen remember 19.19 was done after 7 races in 4 days at the WC. Rounds for 100m then more rounds for 200m in Berlin. Calm down. Bolt running one race will destroy that time. Blake is the future though, we went to the same high school, that my dude.
I think Blake should have stayed at this weight and physique. The extra muscle he put on in the years following 2011 is probably what led to his injuries. World class sprinter at his best!!!
It still gives me chills that Dix ran a PB and still got buried

@HushHush2
i so agree man. ive said this before. some of the times for races seem like theyre a little off.
1-2-3 complete Jamaican dominance even without asafa & Blake!! Then Blake crushes it in the 200 Breaking Poor Walter Dix heart😂🤣
very interesting @Snabelfaen, however i cannot see bolt losing the 200.
He wanted to say usain bolt so bad 😂😂😂
Usain's 150m sprint from 50m to 150m was 8.7ish
@Reformed2005 I don't think you should count out Asafa, could still bounce back in 2012
@lorreacabo he said fourth fastest person in history, not the fourth fastest individual time.
i like how he threw the flowers
You're totally right man.
The beast and the Bolt. Imagine someone with Blakes acceleration and uisans top speed
I don't think acceleration is Blake's strong point.
@@yennox5338 everything is blakes strong point. In his prime he had no weakness
@@samo6083 Why do people say he has a bad start tho? I think Blake had a pretty scary start with not only that, superior endurance and top end speed that's why he kicked Tyson's ass in that 9.69 race.
BLake owes that time to walter dix who really pushed him. I think it scared him that he came off the turn 2nd.
no, Blake was saving energy for the straight away... thats also the reason why he reacted so slow. But I do agree with you about Dix pushing him. And great time by both of them. By far the best 200m field in history
Watch "Ato Bolton explains the 200m". Really good breakdown
+ray britton Actually its Dix that need to thank Blake for pushing him to his PB...Blake was always running his own race.
+KoolKaiser EXACTLY.... but I would say that Blake did not push him, he PULLED HIM lol
+MrKarlozz where would we find that?
@Snabelfaen I don't see Blake getting that fast (though the unexpected has happened before). I also can't see Blake crusing past Bolt without Bolt switching into max. gear, something I've only seen once. Finishing 19.19 with a comfortable lead is quite different from finishing with a challenger at your heel. Sounds cliche, but Bolt has a lot more speed in him (whether he will stay fit enough to use it at the right time is a different question).
I would like to see Bolt and Blake take on Kirani James in the 400m. :)
MITOGEN and wayde van niekerk?
Very good. Chote. Markmok
@NeilTheFerret1 Actually for Dix it's 6th fastest time, counting Bolt's 19s42 in Daegu. Well at least I think.
@Snabelfaen Let's hope so!!
9.76 isn't exactly slow.
Can you run that fast
People use to say sub 19.32 wasn't possible. I don't put limit on athletes ability.
very good boys
The gold and silver medals on the Olimpycs games already have owners!, sorry for Tyson but he have to fight for the bronze .Asafa is very strong this season too..
Yohan Blake and Usain Bolt are training partners....so why wouldn't he be able to run this fast. Usain Bolt even described Blake as a "beast" when it comes to sprinting.
Blake will fuck shit up at Worlds this year. Dude gets better and better
@nagasakiPiru no...its an illusion. he's just slowing down less than the others.
U! ... yohan blake powering down the straight, haha too used too those usain bolt wins!
Has Blake ever run in a 400m race?
Yes... he has a 45sec PB.
@speedyslime93 thanks man
JAM, JAM, JAM... top 3 omg, throw in powell and blake, and they will SLAUGHT their own world record in the 4x100
it all depends on how well your rest cycle goes with track. i mean 9.63 (isn't that what he went) isn't too bad
