A scooter is typically less $$$ than a pwr wc. Scooter is lighter. And I have been told by many customers, a power wheelchair is viewed as having a disability, where a scooter is not.

Funny how we all think different, because I don't feel weird at all in a wheelchair, but would on a scooter. Thanks for letting me know, because I was curious, especially since a wheelchair is more comfortable and user friendly.
Aside from what others mentioned, mobility scooters can really be great for both outdoors and indoors. Some can handle really steep inclines and are convenient for going out and doing shopping. Not saying that a power can't do those but nowadays, it's more of a preference. Both are really improving now that you won't be limited to the idea of what the other can do that the other can't.

I have the Electra 7 HD wheelchair and love it, it's heavier (50 lbs), sturdy for my weight, and moves through different terrain with ease. I'm researching something for my husband now, so thanks for telling me what you have. I'll show him, but he keeps telling me he wants a chair like mine, but I'm showing him options. Thanks again.

Any thoughts on price? My carbon fiber walker was 10 times the aluminum one!
It's going to run about $3,200. Pretty pricey but thats usually the case with anything that's made out of carbon fiber.
