I visited the museum where his shoes are at. I touched his shoes and I got that feeling when you stand up too fast except my vision was black but I was still standing. It only lasted about 10 seconds or so but one of my strangest encounters.

Pituitary tumors are nothing to make light of...they definitely need to be treated (if you can) - blinding headaches, fatigue, etc...all symptoms of acromegaly. It's a big strain on the body when it's cranking out a ton of hormone

There were cases were the extremely tall giant people lived until they were over a hundred. Why has this been deemed a disease, it could have been an interesting step in evolution. But if they person was suffering from the giantism then fair enough medication should be given to stop the pituitary gland from producing the growth hormone if they were in pain but if it is for societal reasons because of them being deemed 'a freak of nature' then I think that drugs are not the answer!

Many don’t live to an old age - especially without medication they do not have great health many problems. Very lonely. Except for maybe rich nba basketball players! I’m sure they are looked after well!! There used to be a lot more giants and bigger too. Must have died long ago - or now have medicine for pituitary gland in brain from babies or toddlers checked for bone growth. It’s some sort of mutation in the brains pituitary gland. All related to hormones and growth factors that come from that generally. They were and some still are all over world in different races of people! Just like there are people that are dwarfs and all sorts of mutations!!!!! Being white and having blue eyes was a mutation also a few thousand years ago! Most people used to be quite short average height 5 feet 4 or something.

Depends if it's caused by gigantism, which in his case it was so medically he is a giant because there are many features including height that makes someone a giant.
