This is rock its the show and entertainment that matter its not classical music were everyone is waiting for the pianist to make a mistake. Or is it these days!
Not an online ‘fighter’ but I disagree. I would go to a live show for both the experience/entertainment but mainly to hear the musicians play the tunes. I’ve been a drummer for 40+ years in bands etc and I like to watch the band really playing and playing with each other as a band. A click and/or a teleprompter don’t bother me as those - I think - are tools to support the show. Hearing pre-recorded vox, instruments, and background arrangements - I think - goes to the next level. I’d rather go see a local band at a small club. If it’s just about seeing the ‘original guys’, I’m not a fan and wouldn’t be a buyer - especially at the prices for these shows. Just my opinion. 🤘🏼
The only reason I could think of for a pre-recorded count in is using it to set the tempo so they aren't playing to fast or slow. I've see some of these older bands dragging on songs, and they also might need to keep from playing too fast as clearly Neil can barely keep up anymore.
Carmine Appice just did an interview talking about Mick’s unhappiness on the stadium tour and confirmed everything on the stadium tour was pre-recorded.
Nope. It was pre-recorded drums for sure. There was no crash cymbal hit when the sound came out either. A more accurate guess would be that he plays the whole set like this now cause he can’t keep time anymore.
It’s a click sync. Most live bands nowadays use a click track to keep the tempo consistent and to also trigger MIDI synth or light show scenes to change at the appropriate times.
You can definitely hear a difference in the drums once he hit the cymbals, he definitely uses sampled drum sounds that a real kit triggers, there’s a drum break down where he talks about it. And the band does use a click and backing tracks but I don’t think the drums are faked playing other than maybe some mild percussion and maybe added sounds hear and there to boost what his drums are already doing
I would think the drummer would be the one who controls when that starts. Maybe the tech that was behind the kit accidentally triggered the start of it.
I know allot of bands use help with samples, metronome, etc.. back in the day I’d criticize it. I think he’s playing with that time keeping back track. Eh..
Many bands use click tracks. Although, most of the time you can only hear the click track through the drummer's, or the rest of the bands ear monitor system. A click track rarely goes out through the PA, although prerecorded tracks do. So, this is kinda strange... Also, click tracks are great to keep light shows and special effects consistent from show to show. I know of a couple of bands that even have their digital consoles connected to a computer, which of course is in-sync with the click track, so the board can automatically change settings throughout the songs, so the engineer doesn't have to do those changes manually.
They also need the click track to cue their piped in fake backing vocals. If they can't sing backing vocals live, every other aspect of the "live show" is questionable.
@@flazjsg agree. Much of the background stuff is canned. Why would any click go through the whole PA and speakers. I think he is playing ‘with’ a track of ‘live’ drums. Clicks are not meant to be heard by the audience. One person below notes that it might be a mistake - and that would be multiple mistakes. Tommy late to the kit. Click not in ‘in ears’. Click through the PA. Too much coincidence for me. Just my opinion. 🤘🏼
@@richweber5090 Why? The most logical thing for me is for the sound guy and/or lighting guys to be able to have a real auditory cue. In lots of bands, the light guys wear in-ears for cues, I can see why a sound guy wouldn't want to do that because then he obviously can't hear the PA, and therefor can't do his job. When it all goes right, Tommy probably counts in the 4-count on the hats right with the track. Like you said, they're already using backing vocal tracks so they're already all synced via some sort of click. Clearly it looks like someone started the click, Tommy is rushing to the kit because he has to be there for the start. My band uses a click live but no backing tracks. Unfortunately, due to life happening, we sort of have a rotating cast of members including different drummers so we started using a click for consistency so it doesn't matter who is behind the kit the audiences are all getting the same show.

thats basically just a live click track count in to ground the band in a steady tempo (to also synch up any sound effects or samples used , I think this not an instance of lip synching.
Whether he used some form of technology here or there on the count in everyone knows Tommy Lee is one of the most badass drummers in Rock n Roll. There are many things in Motley Crue you can pick at but Tommy Lee's drumming ability is not one of them. Some of the greatest drummers in all of hard rock and metal site him as a hero and inspiration. You could give Tommy a bucket and a stick and he would make it sound cool.
Those hi hats were definitely not being played on his kit. It may be just a count-in. I’m sure he’s playing. Even the motions of pretending to play drums is going to be just as painful as actually playing the drums. What’s the point of faking it?
Lee isn’t faking the drums at all. It’s a count in for Sixx’ fake bass playing. Just a mistake it went through the PA as opposed to the just the earpieces
Seems like they only have the counting pre recorded. When he play the hihat for real, it’s sounds a lot louder and the sound matches with the hihat movement. Some drummers have a hard time memorizing the counting, could be his case. I always had a hard time with some songs and definitely it helps.
Same as the "final tour of Australia " it was a swindle.... He played behind red screen for 1/2 the gig. It definitely is not a click track, click tracks don't have a intro fill. It's all about the Money. ✌️🤘🏴☠️🇦🇺
I was at that specific show and gotta say a few things about it... 1. Most importantly, the dancers they had on stage were drop dead gorgeous. 2.tommys drums were not faked at all. 3. Yes, Vince sounded pretty rough. 4. Motley crue still kicks ass live.
click track fed into FOH PA instead of bands IEMs, i went to watch McFly live a few times and one night the exact same thing happened, they started a song, and instead of hearing the track beginning, we heard the beep of the click track and the vocal count in from the drummers clicktrack, they had to stop and wait a min while they sorted it. ive done it myself when i routed my cables the wrong way round in my mini-mixer next to my kit, luckily it was in soundcheck so we corrected it before the show.
Think the real bombshel on this video is mick actually moved and even turned almost halfway around .moves like this for mick havent been seen since 2008 ...
Motley Crue need to call it quits. They are artists. It's about performing for the fans, not taking money from the fans. Vince sounds horrible. Mick is gone.
I saw motley back in the early 90s in Hartford CT. Home sweet home was Their last song and the piano at the end was playing as all four of them started walking off the stage then Nikki ran like hell over to the piano to fake playing. We all know it's tommy that plays the piano but Nikki was closest to it. So this is twice for me because I was at KC as well. awesome show and Vince didn't seem any different to me, he has always sounded like that since the 80s
These days, lots of bands use click tracks to keep them on time - mainly to keep the pyro and video backgrounds sync'd with the music. A lot of times the count-ins are particularly important and a cymbal sound in the best way to do it (the alternative is a digital beep or other obvious digital sound) so I don't fault them for this. We all like the spectacle of video and pyro synchronization so I give this a pass.
Backing track . It's unfortunately common to use them in live shows. And the only way older bands like Crue can keep pace. Idk if people forgot but Crue was exposed for using tracks before. Look it up .⭐
I has nothing to do with being old. It has to do with being lazy or practicing your parts. Lots of old timers out there who play way harder music than Looks that Kill and don't even need a click track, let alone having pre recorded playing on the house speakers while pretending to play their instruments.
I’m literally at a crue concert as we speak, in Indianapolis. And I spotted a drumming mistake. During Home Sweet Home he was walking back to the drums and the drums started playing I wasn’t Filming but I hope someone else was. He’s using recorded drums
So the whole 'backing track' thing with live bands has created a lot of controversy recently. I think it is understandable from the artist's perspective because they want to make sure they give the fans a good show w the songs they like. On the other hand, - I paid $150 to be here to see a live musical performance - not some guys air guitaring. We are ok w live mess ups and off sounds - that is the fun of a live show. Each one is unique and everyone realizes no musician is going to be perfect every performance. Lose the backing track it my recommendation.
you said it ! there humans and will make mistakes the best of the best forgot chords or hit the wrong drum and sing the wrong part live ive seen it all live but who really cares , i dont have no record label ant gotta impress me , already did or i wouldnt be there in the 1st place
He DOES NOT HAVE ANY BROKEN RIBS! Something else is wrong. I’ve had ONE broken rib, and you can’t move around like he’s been doing UNLESS you get a serious pain killer SHOT by a doctor before he goes on stage. It’s the same thing that pro Football players do. I seriously doubt they have a M.D. giving him a legal shot before the shows cuz that’s THE ONLY WAY he could even sit down and play that drum kit for 30 seconds. He’s a fuckin human being like everybody else. He’s gotta put on a tuff guy act cuz it’s the Motley Crue image. He’s still a badass drummer, love the dude, love the Crue, but what’s really going on? On second thought though, it is Motley Crue, they definitely have the 💰, so maybe it’s true and they DO have an M.D. giving him a jab of pain killer before he hits the stage. But 4 broken ribs? No, even a shot would keep him on the sidelines. He’s also moving around to freely. Not stiff at all. Somethings up. Oh, and yea, it was a click track he was supposed to hear In his ear plug instead of a verbal countdown , a sound guy probably screwed up and is probably back home now working on his resume.
The count in is for the backing tracks of Nikki not playing and all of the other shit they're running. He's playing to a click track to sync the tracks they are running.
I had to play with the drums in the tracks for a tour once, we eventually got the stems to take out the drums but yeah this is not a big deal. He’s a legend for a reason lol
Really!? Come on now... Why do some people care about weather or not they are getting help with their shows...they have been playing how many shows, how many years!!!? Jesus Christ..theyve paid their dues.. The critics are not, more than likely any one to be saying anything at all.. It's truelly ridiculous.. What about the posative!
It's not that he's not playing. It's just that they have amplified background playing as a failsafe. His actual drums are probably not amplified, the background tracks are.
Tommy is a great Rock drummer, but anything is possible with that band. I remember seeing them on the Feelgood tour and Nikki was clearly using bass backing tracks. His hands were in the air and the bass line is still going.
They play to tracks, which is essentially the same thing. You play to the track! So does Kiss, Except Kiss has been lip syncing for the last year now. I have set up several shows of Kiss and watch them do soundchecks and they set all the volumes to match what would look and sound like they are singing.
Haha! How is Tommy Lee any legend in thre drumming world? He simply couldn't be. The guy is just a mad basher in 4/4, there's absolutely nothing to his drumming. Buddy Rich, John Bonham, Bernard Purdie, Dave Lombardo, Mike Portnoy are legendary and we can go on and on, but c'mon Tommy Lee? What a joke!
It's for a sequencer for that big gang background vocals for the timing there is a 4 click count in the in ear monitors to count off the 4 count on the hi hats for the band.
Tommy is A GREAT ROCK DRUMMER !!!! Many bands use tracked instruments to lead into and through songs , as it’s necessary to keep the flow of the show together and with the show sequenced timing to get through with performing all of the set list that the band and production crew are wanting to deliver for that tour production !! 😊👍🎸🥁🎸👍😊
I saw motley crew live right after Tommy broke his ribs, I’ve produced music and have mixed bands live and I can tell you unequivocally he’s using backing drum tracks to match with the videos and girls dancing its all synced up , Mick Mars guitar, and vience Neils mediocre vocal is the only thing live , bass is even tracked
Tommy Lee is not a great drummer. TOMMY ALDRIDGE is a great drummer. Tommy Lee is good and has a nice feel, but there is a difference between good and great. And lastly, Modern Drummer Magazine used to have a readers poll (they probably still do)- and back in the 80's during his peak fame years I NEVER once saw Tommy Lee win the best "hard rock" drummer category (though Tommy Aldridge did). And this is a poll that was voted on by DRUMMERS, not people who know little to nothing about drums like most music fans. Tommy Lee will NEVER be looked at (by drummers) the way that Peart, Bonham, Baker, Carmine Appice, Tommy Aldridge (and a host of other drummers) are looked at. I graduated from Musicians Institute (the drum program). I'm Gen X (the generation that made M Crue famous), and I never met one drummer while I was in school that was highly influenced by Tommy Lee. Not one. Tommy Lee is mostly famous and will be remembered because his drums turned upside down, the debauchery of Motley Crue in general, and because he was with Pamela Anderson when she was at her peak of fame (which ironically is when M Crue were at their lowest point career wise in the grunge filled 90's) and they made a sex tape that they INTENTIONALLY leaked to the public which was wildly popular at the time - mostly because of Pamela. If you polled every rock drummer in America on who their biggest influences were or asked them who the baddest guys are talent wise I'd be willing to make a significant financial wager that Tommy Lee wouldn't even make the top 10.
I’m a drummer and that’s the click for his in ear monitors that got piped into the mains. There’s a completely different sound the moment he hits the hats.
Yes they are using backing tracks. 100%. Whether it’s tommy with a count in. Vince having audience sing most parts. Or nikkiI straight up using tape. They’re not even slick about it man.
It’s like these pre-recorded drums is for self monitor and there may be an output error.. I saw so many drummers especially my friends using pre-recorded drums for self monitor with separate click.. also me too, I more confident if I hear pre-recorded drum instead of live drum from mixer set,
He is actually playing drums and the mics are hooked up to the drums but it’s just not on ( mics) why? I don’t know. So he’s playing with pre recorded drum tracks . F motley anyways for what they are doing to Mick.
It’s a click track for the whole band. It’s not any type of fake drumming. It’s to make sure the whole band including Tommy. Is playing the correct bpm(beats per minute)It’s a whole band effort to have great time.
It's a opening click track. A lot of bands use them they usually only play on the their ear buds. It gives them a reference for tempo so they don't mess up.
It's just a recorded time in..it's not pre recorded drums. Some bands use the old 123,4 count in some use signals from the light crew some use other tactics. It's just a way to get everything in sync at that moment the show starts..it's actually really just a signal saying "show starts now"
For real. How do drummers "hear" the vocals and other instruments while playing a song?? Playing the drums is so loud anyways...can he hear the vocals? I'm so confused how that works?
Idk how Tommy Lee plays but usually everyone in a live show uses IEM (in ear monitors)some people use monitors in front of them...but IEM is like a more efficient I guess...it all comes to preference....it has song playing along with a click track (metronome) That's about it... The rest of it is controlled by the sound tech guy.
On the exact same video you can see Nikki throw something up in the air, he has both his arms up in the air and there is a bass track playing, these dudes are a bunch of fakes.
I think it was the count in that was supposed to go to the in ear monitors of the band members so they know what tempo to start the song. That is my guess.
Based on the slight delay when his butt hit the throne, I'm assuming its just a backing track with his hat doubled for the first hit or two. Either to cue him in or to make it sound bigger for whatever reason. Or sound guy had it routed wrong.
I’m not a huge MC fan, but Tommy IS playing live drums. It’s just a click. Some bands use it for every song, some just when there is a backing track or added track. You’ll see Alex Van Halen throw headphones on for Jump because the keys are on tape. He needs to hear a click only for that one song. It’s likely MC has a second guitar on tape. We probably heard it because it went thru the monitors and side fills, (although it could have been thru mains by mistake). Crowd can’t hear it once sound goes thru mains. That’s why they use a hi hat, it blends in unlike that dang BEEPING some use. Believe me. It’s WAY EASIER to play the drums than it is to mime playing the drums.
This happened years ago on television. They were doing Dr. Feelgood with backing vocals, and they all lost the track. Arsenio Hall was hosting something.
I once saw the violinist did the same thing in Dave Mathew bands. It was in one of their concerts on DVD. You clearly see the violinist was filling with the amps and the violin was playing.
1:13 he’s using SYMBOL BACKING but he hits the snare and kick. But he has symbols backing him up. We call them a metronome 😂❤ SEE. When you play on stage TIME DILATION begins to have a negative effect. Here me out. If they have to use wicked loud kits and amps. Depending on the crowd and how MUCH MASS is in the stadium. They might need to KEEP THE SONG TOGETHER like a train on train tracks so to speak. Just in case they get OFF FLOW. They can right themselves quickly enough with a backing track. That’s what you’re hearing.
hihat count in was digital but the drums started a half beat early. This tells me that the drums are live, Tommy is really playing what you are hearing...but he's probably playing along with a drum track to keep him in line. There is software that allows you to remove or add each part of a song to your in ears from a prerecorded track. Good idea...in case you're like, you know, drunk, stoned, tired, drunk, old, or stoned and drunk.
I think He is Just getting Old like the Rest of the Legendary Musicians from the 80s , when people get Older 50 plus they need aids , hearing aids , transportation aids , ect , so Tommy Possible needs Assistance in some area , nothing wrong with that ! Lets see you do something for 30 years or more and see if you Can keep up to 30 years ago , you simply cant cause people AGE
They use sequences, backing vocals, main vocals, you can also hear backing guitars and bass. The only two guys playing are Tommy and Mick or the new guy
I agree, it doesn’t make sense to have fake drums. You can hear the difference when he does start the first beat of the song as opposed to the sound of the count in. I still have yet to see clear evidence of Nikki faking the bass too. All the videos I’ve seen people says he’s faking in, he takes his hands off the bass and an open note rings out. I haven’t heard a bass line play while seeing his hands off the bass or in the wrong spot. The only definite backing track was Vince during a chorus where he holds the mic to the audience but you can clearly still hear him. However I don’t think he’s lip synching, I think he just has backing tracks in certain parts of songs. He was entirely lip synching, it would sound much better.
What do you think? Are these pre-recorded drums? Is this some sort of a time delay in the video?
It's the pre-recorded click track for their pre-recorded backing vocals and some guitar bits.
Tommy's good. Must be a count in thing programmed. Who would go through all the physicality and movements just to fake the sounds lol?

If it’s just about seeing the ‘original guys’, I’m not a fan and wouldn’t be a buyer - especially at the prices for these shows. Just my opinion. 🤘🏼
The only reason I could think of for a pre-recorded count in is using it to set the tempo so they aren't playing to fast or slow. I've see some of these older bands dragging on songs, and they also might need to keep from playing too fast as clearly Neil can barely keep up anymore.
You can have a click track in the monitors but still have all real instruments only and Pyro synched up to the song. I think thats what fans want
Carmine Appice just did an interview talking about Mick’s unhappiness on the stadium tour and confirmed everything on the stadium tour was pre-recorded.
hes getting old and everything hurts man. thats why lol. the more dumb crap you do young the more you pay later.
I bet it was a count-in in the in-ear system that somehow got patched into the main system.
Industrial standard nowadays.
Yep
I would think the drummer would be the one who controls when that starts. Maybe the tech that was behind the kit accidentally triggered the start of it.
I know allot of bands use help with samples, metronome, etc.. back in the day I’d criticize it. I think he’s playing with that time keeping back track. Eh..
He has always been a really good drummer using additional tracks just seems so un necessary.
Who cares about a few extra cymbal strikes anyway
Unfortunately, due to life happening, we sort of have a rotating cast of members including different drummers so we started using a click for consistency so it doesn't matter who is behind the kit the audiences are all getting the same show.
so in other words they suck. or dont have the talent
No way that’s a click track. Clearly hitting the hi hat and he’s not behind the kick
He has broken ribs what do u expect 😂 at least he showed his face at the tour
WHAT DO I EXPECT? I EXPECT A FRIGGIN DRUMMER TO PLAY THE DRUMS THAT I PAID TO SEE! IF YOU CAN'T PLAY DON'T SHOW UP! I'M SO GLAD I NEVER PAID FOR THIS FARCE OF A TOUR. THEY ARE CHARGING THROUGH THE ROOF AND THEY AREN'T A 10TH OF WHAT THEY WERE! HERE'S THE THING FOOLS ARE PAYING FOR IT!
@@johnnilsson1311 bro what 💀
@@incomingcall10 senn them from TFFL til Swine they were done after Feelgood and that's the honest truth sorry if no one can handle that. Mick and Nikki the only ones who have dedicated to this tour. If Tommy could had got paid and didn't have to play he wouldn't had done it. Vince is doing his best but Poison is the best band on this tour right now. Not that I'm a fan but every video I've seen they have the energy that no one else dose. There's not much on the openers but I hear they've been pretty good! I'm not knocking them but if this is true it's a fraud. Motley has never been that, I knew the day they came out and said this would happen exactly what it was. Hell Vince years prior let the cat out of the bag. Saying there was a 10million dollar deal on the table. How much did they get for this tour. Honesty hurts but it's the best policy. Sorry if that hurts feelings but I followed this band for a long time and I know what's what. Listen when they said they were retiring Tommy said "I guess I'll whore myself out as drummer". There weren't many offers. Be honest and you'll see the truth!
@@johnnilsson1311 bro just stop 😂
@@chaselong4114 How old are you just answer and my point will be made!
Well, he kinda missed the count in so if they were prerecorded drums he would’ve been WAY off. People really love to hate.
thats basically just a live click track count in to ground the band in a steady tempo (to also synch up any sound effects or samples used , I think this not an instance of lip synching.
Never would have thought Tommy. Him and Mick are literally the only talented ones in that band.
Mick== Style, Substance and Music!!!
Aye man they been rocking since the early 80s there getting old! Leave them alone!! They can still kick your ass!!
Mick confirmed bass was all backing track and most of the drums
Same as the "final tour of Australia " it was a swindle.... He played behind red screen for 1/2 the gig. It definitely is not a click track, click tracks don't have a intro fill. It's all about the Money. ✌️🤘🏴☠️🇦🇺
Lee and great drummer should never be In the same sentence.
Yep, it was definitely a count in for their click track, probably just wasn't supposed to come out of the front of house speakers.
I was at that specific show and gotta say a few things about it...
1. Most importantly, the dancers they had on stage were drop dead gorgeous.
2.tommys drums were not faked at all.
3. Yes, Vince sounded pretty rough.
4. Motley crue still kicks ass live.
You only right on one thing..Ask yourself why they need ladies on th stage..
click track fed into FOH PA instead of bands IEMs, i went to watch McFly live a few times and one night the exact same thing happened, they started a song, and instead of hearing the track beginning, we heard the beep of the click track and the vocal count in from the drummers clicktrack, they had to stop and wait a min while they sorted it.
ive done it myself when i routed my cables the wrong way round in my mini-mixer next to my kit, luckily it was in soundcheck so we corrected it before the show.
One of the first bands I ever liked and I had respect for them for decades until now I cant believe they
would fake play
These days, lots of bands use click tracks to keep them on time - mainly to keep the pyro and video backgrounds sync'd with the music. A lot of times the count-ins are particularly important and a cymbal sound in the best way to do it (the alternative is a digital beep or other obvious digital sound) so I don't fault them for this. We all like the spectacle of video and pyro synchronization so I give this a pass.
Tommy Lee ain't faking hes so good that the drums start playing themselves for him that's all.
I think the person recording was at the other end of the stadium and the sound was behind the video.
It's a count in.
What do you mean "eventually" got the stems to take out the drums? And yes I know what stems are.
@@ihateyoutubecomments8100 Sometimes the dude with the stems can be a little flakey. 😆
He's probably getting too old to do it for real now.
He’s the youngest in the band. Mick Mars is still up there playing and he’s like 71 or something
he’s turning 60 next year so yeah you are most likely right
As a drummer (myself) you do get out of breath but you do not get too old...maybe at 80 he may slow down!
I’ve met Tommy’s drum tech he says it’s a click track
Man it’s just keeping them in sync to their backing track dude….
It's not that he's not playing. It's just that they have amplified background playing as a failsafe. His actual drums are probably not amplified, the background tracks are.
THIS IS EXACTLY WHATS HAPPENING!
Tommy is a great Rock drummer, but anything is possible with that band. I remember seeing them on the Feelgood tour and Nikki was clearly using bass backing tracks. His hands were in the air and the bass line is still going.
Well, thanks to Mick Mars, the truth has come out. Sixx plays nothing live, Lee fakes a lot of songs, and Vince's vocals suck now.
This dude is a legend in the drumming world. He doesn't need fake drums. Just a count in or something.
He's average at best.
Bunch of frauds
This is not what rock & roll is about man. I think that Motley Crue should go on tour with Brittany Spears, Madonna or Beyonce.
Mick Mars came out several months ago and said that he was the only band member that was live on every track for their tour.
If you polled every rock drummer in America on who their biggest influences were or asked them who the baddest guys are talent wise I'd be willing to make a significant financial wager that Tommy Lee wouldn't even make the top 10.
apparently you've never seen Metallica, every song starts off with pre-recording EVERYTHING. And every band has ear pieces with tracks playing
Mick Mars - the only one with integrity
Its just a metronome cymbal count in.
Damn Rock Feed, was this really worth reporting?
I’m a drummer and that’s the click for his in ear monitors that got piped into the mains. There’s a completely different sound the moment he hits the hats.
Yes they are using backing tracks. 100%. Whether it’s tommy with a count in. Vince having audience sing most parts. Or nikkiI straight up using tape. They’re not even slick about it man.
It's time delay of the camera used recording the actual audio, compared to real time.
I'm so glad I got to see them in Aug 2005 on the Carnival of Sins tour because this shit is a travesty this summer.
yes that was the ultimate time. wouldn’t see them now at all
1987 - Fists in the air!! 2022 - Phones in the air.
there is this recorded cymbal doing the count but .......you can tell when he hits the snare it's live.
It's a opening click track. A lot of bands use them they usually only play on the their ear buds. It gives them a reference for tempo so they don't mess up.
this is probably because being hurt and all, just in case he hurts himself more and skipps or misses a beat or something like that.
It's just a recorded time in..it's not pre recorded drums. Some bands use the old 123,4 count in some use signals from the light crew some use other tactics. It's just a way to get everything in sync at that moment the show starts..it's actually really just a signal saying "show starts now"
Well Im so glad I didn't buy those tickets to hear some BS they want to give you.
I definitely think less of them now.
I seen a video where Korbi stated that the band had been doing this for Mick since he was singing vocals back in the early 90's
If it was just a click then how did it go out the PA but only for that second? The click would have kept going otherwise
Saw them at the Beacon Th. , NYC in 1984 Shout At The Devil tour. Ratt opened.
It's most likely a count in so he can play to a click track which means other things like sound effects, music or vocals are on backing tracks....
Just a count in click, using the hi-hat sample it’s NOT a “backing track”!
Arsenio Hall was hosting something.
it was Poison thou ;)
He's playing to his own recording, on top of it live
The drums are hooked up to a computer so when he hits a peice on his drum it goes to the computer to play the sound
hihat count in was digital but the drums started a half beat early.
Is it even worth seeing them anymore?
It’s either a click track that got broadcast over the speaker when it shouldn’t have been or it’s meant to be that way.
They are not using drum tracks. They are using other backing tracks. The hihat is synced with the click track to start the song
