You have the power!! You must speak positivity to yourself as a leader and then you can project that type of behavior to your faculty, staff, and your students. You have the power to change the trajectory of the culture and the outcome of the entire organizational system.
In 1984 my high school counselor said, “You do not have the intellectual capacity for college.” I believed her, not knowing she missed my dyslexia. 2020 I graduated as a First Gen, Student Veteran, and the 2020 McNair Scholar. As I look to graduate school, I hope to inspire students as a teacher. I wish my counselor heard your message before speaking to me, but I will use what I have learned here.
This is awesome. I've taught in two states, and four schools, and yes this is true! We speak a daily classroom chant of empowerment, and it makes a difference! We hold our kids accountable to these truths as well!

Creating an atmosphere that meets students where they are and challenges them to elevate to greater requires so much of children and individuals with those requirements. Belonging in excellence is powerful for students and adults who create their learning environments.
