- Take a look at an F1 pitstop like you've never seen it before, as we cast an eye over this Ferrari stop for Carlos Sainz in super-slow-motion. Can you believe F1 pit crews regularly manage to carry all of this out in TWO SECONDS??

Great video, but it would have been even better without the zooming between wheels, so that we could see all 4 at the same time and see the differences between corners. Could you post another copy without all the camera moves.
Yeah I feel like I saw the same process 4 times
make first than talk 😂
Ditto, I would like to see the full video, no zoom. Mark, we would do it, it just happens I don't have a 4k super slow motion camera and no access do the paddock.
Agreed;
I can imagine videos like this are used to evaluate each crew member's performance. Their unspoken coordination is really impressive.
Just imagine Mclarens 1.8 stop in slow-mo
That's because off the track, it is VERY spoken lol. Tons of coordination, planning and practice
idk, video said super slowmo but really seems like a regular ferrari pitstop no?
More like a merc
Fishing for likes right ?
Ferrari pitstops jokes are outdated buddy, now Merc's are laughable 👋
@@soso-V12 Its a joke. Get a life.

2023 Poles: Ferrari - 7

We'll come back to you later.
It would have been a million times better if they didn't zoom in. This way we could have seen the whole "orchestra" perform!
Cool video but I really wish it didn't zoom in, I think it'd look a lot more dynamic.
Ah yes the popular 25ths of a second timing technique
Right? Like, idk why. Maybe standard framerate?
Ah shit, that's so confusing! I genuinely thought they kept those "75 frames" at normal speed so that the video doesn't get too long!
It was already a slow-mo pitstop at 3.14
When the clock hit 2 seconds the McLaren was already 2 tenth gone.
Good thing you didn't pick the pitstop where they forgot the tires. Would've been an interesting slowmo though 😅
17 minute video incoming 😂
I thought this was the video they forgot the tyres!
Even at a pretty standard time of a 3s stop, the left-front was off and the new tire seated on the wheel in under 1s, which shows why the record is now down to 1.9s, if everything goes right.
The left front guys were poched for RB
No it wasn't 🤦🏿♀️
1.8 now from McLaren
3s is slow
@@tunisiandom9318 yh, I mean slow for F1 at least. In any other situation that's still mental. I'd say 2.2-2.5 is standard. Again, mental
I don't think there is possibly a worse way of editing this. Well done!
I particularly like the addition of some numbers that look like a clock but mean nothing at all.
I actually just burst out. Laughing 😭
@@jameskeene-brown9761it's the seconds it took I think, which I think is probably the nicest thing about the edit. It took them 3 seconds to change those tires which is crazy😂
@@jameskeene-brown9761 Why on earth do you think a timer means nothing at all, when watching a tire change?
Insane comment.
@procatprocat9647 would you care to explain the numbers on the screen and add them into the beginning of the video please. Without the explanation, they are indeed meaningless.
I'd love to see the difference between this and a quick stop of around 2 seconds flat.
in what units are they timing this in? jumps from 0:24 --> 1:00 etc.
fps
It's a video timecode for a 24 (FPS) frames per second timeline, each frame is approx 41msecs (0.041secs) so 3.14 here is actually 3.574 secs (ish).
@@petesmithvideo exactly what i thought, their timing is misleading
ppi (penis per inch)
The F1tv direction after 3 laps trying to show every replay there is.
And we just missed all the lap 3 overtakes...
Omg this. This needs to stop. I get so infuriated with the replays we just saw the start. I mean like usually the first 10 laps are the most interesting and intense part of the race and we've just missed half of it thanks to the same replay about 4 times then there is another dozen of them
Nicely done. Thank you!
Makes me realize there must be a lot of intrasquad competition about which tirw goes the fastest
This whole video is fire yo literally art
Crazy this would be considered an average/slow stop
Dope. This was very good.
Amazing!
Beautiful 👌
Awesome
brilliant
Great premise, would have loved to have seen without the zooming though so we could take it all in. Perhaps would increase your rewatch stats too ;)
💥💥💥💥💥 perfect example, Ferrari pitstop was slow 👍
Slowmo of a slow AF pitstop 😂😂
I blame the right rear and the front jack man.
awesome
Fantastic video! Like a super-slow machine of sorts.
Wow. Such a beautiful 3 sec video
WOW
Honourable mention to the two guys in the middle hugging the car - it really needed the moral support
That Ferrari is looking so so beautiful... Love that...
Guy on the front left was cooking
How do I make it slow mo? I think I got the normal speed version of a Ferrari pit stop
Everyone in The Race were like “do we really have to film a video for the Holidays” “someone else said, “it’s in our contracts we have to put up a video” “ why don’t we just show…” and that’s how we got this video…
The timing is weird, it ticks over to a new second after 0:23 something, so the end time of 3:14 seconds doesn’t seem to be completely right. Anyway, nice to see this. Although a super-slowmo of Hamilton’s 2019 pit stop in Germany that took about a minute with the entire crew running around like clowns, would’ve been fun as well.
Yea right, they really didn't dress up and put up make-up just for that.
Masterpiece !!! looks super cool
It's a bad stop 😂
@@wacrofo1690Hey hey hey! 3 seconds used to be really good, at least in the early 2010s >:(
Nice effort but the shade on Ferrari is even more fun 😂 Although to be fair they were not that bad this year.
It's really interesting to see simple things in slowmotion
At 3 seconds, this is considered a below average pitstop. 2.5 seconds is considered the benchmark.
Can you upload a version with a static cam please?
Id post a version with the camera zoomed out all the way.
The drivers are right, 3 second pitstops last forever
Who made the insane call to zoom the camera in and constantly move it around randomly during this? Makes it impossible to actually see what each person is doing.
Oh, thought this would just be a video of Charles' pit stop at Zandvoort.
So if the timer was not based on decimals but rather 24 fps format, then this is actually like a 3.6-3.7s pitstop?
Even for a practice stop that is a slow one.
At least Ferrari had the tires ready this time
Great video. This shows how out of sync each wheel is during a 3.14s pitstip. Imagine how in-sync each wheel is in a sub 2s pitstop.
Let’s be honest, everyone here for the, this is a regular Ferrari pit stop chat.
The timer jumping at the .24 mark to the next second is kind of unforgiveable when you're trying to show off how fast and seamless the pit stop is. And as others have said already, it'd be nice to see what's going on at the rear tires as the car comes to a stop. One thing I definitely noticed is that the left front was off and on again almost before either the right front or the left rear was removed. That's... weird. Was this a botched stop or something?
Was Ferrari the best choice to showcase this? This seems the length of their average stop tbh
I wish the McLaren 1.8s pitstop was filmed like this
Best content y’all had in months
In a flash, the pit crew's dance / Precision in each swift advance / Ferrari's stop, a fast-lane romance / Grace and speed intertwined, / but winning ? not a chance.
Fast-lane romance? Precision? You know you’re talking about Ferrari right? The ones that don’t really know how to compete at a high level in the pit lane?
@@mscbijles1256 it would have been a different video if it was at Zandvoort when they only had 3 tyres ready for Carlos.
Is this sped up footage of Bottas 2021 Monaco pit stop?
Still faster than that Merc pitstop in Hockenheim that year 😅
Yeah that would’ve been great in slow motion 🤣
Please make one for the MC world record pitstop
I feel like every Ferrari pitstop is in slow motion
Should have done it with McLarens record setting change if there is overhead film from it.
The slowest Carlos has ever been
Now we need Bottas Monaco pit stop slowmo
I would love to watch the 1.80 seconds McLaren team did this year
A slow-mo of a slow one. :)
Correct me if I’m wrong but, wasn’t the dark pitstop from RedBull quicker than this?
what are the tow guys in the middle doing?
Apparently they just filmed a regular Ferrari stop and avoided needing to pay for hi-speed cameras.
I always wanted to understand/know the role of the two guys in the middle of the car, all they do is touch the car?
And that's one of the slowest
Next video will be the 'super slow-mo' of Bottas' Monaco 2021 pit stop.
See you all in 2031 🥱🥱
Can you upload this without the zooming around?
So glad they didn't pick Mercedes' pitstop from Hockenheim 2019 for this video... we would've been here for a while
I hear there is a cut of this pit stop from director Zack Snyder that is only five hours long.
And that's considered a slow one imagine this under 2 sec
should have selected the mc laren pitstop for that slow mo
please release a version without the zooming in
The slowest pitstop of all time. Zooming was ok.
There's no way you actually decided to post it like this.....
I never noticed or thought that the back wheels would take longer because they’re bigger?
They don’t, this was just a bad pitstop which they weirdly used for this
I know it’s a long shot but does anybody know the name of the song?
Jharee - Dark Skies
Ok, now 1 from every team. Each team’s quickest, even better heh but I know it’s not realistic to have this special equipment at every single pit.
imagine the world's longest F1 Pitstop....
3 minutes 15 seconds was that ?
kinda similar speed to some of Ferrari's pit stops this year tbh
Amazing! Hopefully 2024 will be much better for us! 🤞🏻 We know that beating Red Bull is very tough but we have to make life more difficult for them! ⚔ Forza C² ❤❤💪🏽💪🏽 💚🤍❤ Forza Ferrari! 💚🤍❤
I'd like to see the same for mclarens fastest pit stop.
I'm here for the mean comments about Ferrari's pitstops
Why not pick McLaren or RB for this so you can actually get a quick pit-stop 😭
Wait this is slow-mo? Looked like a normal Ferrari pitstop to me 😂
ok but where's the slomo?
Why does the time skip from 0:23 to 1:02 but the footage doesn't, something is wrong here
Ferrari super slo-mo? I dont have 3hs to watch 😅
This could have been so good without the zooming in ... :(
Nice - how about the 1.8sec McLaren stop
Now do a redbull stop! It will be faster😂
Why are seconds counting up after 240 milliseconds?
When dealing with video, often 25 frames per second are used as measurement. I guess in this case it jumps from 00:24 (aka 24th frame) to 01:00 (1 second complete).
24fps timecode, not a true stopwatch
@@19940524 Yes, but this is not ideal in this case as the video was shot in super slow motion and the video itself is 60 fps. A normal time format, especially when highlighting it in the video, would make much more sense
not slo-mo, just ferrari
You picked the slowest pit stop to do a slo mo👀😂
Comentators saying: "what a horrible pit stop at Ferrari it was"
Crazy how McLaren have done it a second faster.
Can you guys reupload this and correct the errors please. Firstly the clock is not a clock. Secondly the camera zoom is horriffic and makes you miss most of it.
That was a slow stop.
