Dude.... Move the screen down so it's sitting on the car, and it would be fine. Right now, as it is, they're looking up way above the wheel. Terrible FOV....lol
Also the fact that they can see the wheel in-game completely ruins the immersion. they're looking up, through a cockpit, into another cockpit. with two steering wheels in view... that must be a nightmare to drive. I have a more immersive sim at home made from wood 🤣
Guys, no one is paying $130,000 for this to do proper sim racing. This is a show piece for a company, or a super rich guy, to show his super rich friends.
lol someone call the fov police just kidding lol tbf something I've noticed with most f1 style setups is screen higher up and angled down which I don't like the look of but i think the reason they do it is the low slung formula seating position id bet if you actually sat in it the thing something us mere mortals are likely to experience the monitor and halo in between will line up perfectly with seating position although i do prefer the look of one I've seen previously cant remember who makes it but you get the full car with motion and something like triple 55 or 65 inch screens for full surround view
With all due respect, this is a product for people who do not know anything about simulators and just want to have some bragging rights in their million dollar home. This is like a bottle of wine that costs 10.000 Dollar. How can you have an authentic experience without movement of the chassis? This is about looks, not experience. Driving with only a front view??? Try that in a real race car. I have a full motion DIY simulator (sfx-100) with Wilwood pedal box (using original oil pressure), Simucube FFB, triple screen, 5-point seat belts that press down while breaking (motor controlled), 5.1 Audio, water cooled pc, total spend is 10.000 Dollar. After 2 hours of driving your destroyed, it's a massive workout.
Exactly, for this kind of money, you'd want the most realistic experience possible, instead of something looking as pretty as possible. I bet your setup beats this hands down as far as realism goes. But I'm sure it doesn't look as pretty ;-)
@@WixyJixyWell that's what he said, you are confirming it. I am with the people who think the $ 100k would be better spent to enhance the sim experience (motion, more screens) instead of how its looks .
@@broyout3586 I think you both don't understand the cost and R&D that goes into a composite chassis. I wouldn't buy one either but it's a lot more than just a "seat"
@@WixyJixy Oh, I have a good idea about the costs. There are many F1 videos on YT on the subject, you can get an idea as well. You are not suggesting the sim guys are paying towards Red Bull R&D are you? Is that even allowed under the cost cap? What's left is carbon manufacturing, which isn't cheap, sure, with the autoclaves and all. Yet, this chassis isn't supposed to meet F1 specs. It's just supposed to look pretty. So that's exactly what it is, a seat. A very expensive seat. (BTW a 'real' F1 steering wheel supposedly costs about twice the price of this entire sim. And the one they are installing looks pretty simular. So maybe this is a bargain after all ;-))
90% of the price is the chassis. Servo motor, pedals, speakers, F1 wheel, monitors and a kick ass computer to run it all will all be under $15K. There is zero adjustability for different size people and different types of cars. It is pretty stupid when you think about it.
MILSPEC is used all across racing and not just F1... Makes things so much easier to troubleshoot. Id rather have a triple projector setup personally and a massive curved projector screen so it's full immersive. They're able to do that with flight sims but i don't think f1 games are aiming for that level of realism just yet.. I'd drop the carbon fibre and use fiberglass or plastic. Drop the construction price and add more features...
I am so new that I’m not even a minute in and yet loving it so far because of how much I can understand it even though I’m brand new to this❤️ so thank you
don't get the point for 130.000 dollar. it is just a simucube that anyone can buy from around 5k with a single screen and the F1 game. lol. Dont get me wrong 5-6k is a lot of money but not 130k
had to go back and check lol. you are totally right. f1 game + pc + simucube + monitor aint worth "much" they just charge you for wing and chassis lol.
I like the concept but I cant see a long life for the simucube with such a large steering column. The amount of leverage generated by that must fry the motor, no? I also dont see the point in mounting speakers away from the driver, speakers are designed to angle the sound towards you. Its a cool thing but its target audience is definitely show rooms or in a expo.
This is sick but let's be real, if you're buying this you obviously has a lot of money, a lot of space just for this sim and the people buying it most likely bought this as a status symbol and probably barely use it hahaha but again pretty cool. If I won the lottery then yeah this is sim I'm definitely looking at. I mean come on if you have the money, space, and you do a good amount of sim racing then yeah this is pretty damn cool
If it was a lewis Hamilton one with the 2024 paint job and it would be free to change the paint, steering wheel force feedback and fames i would think about it and if it was not as much money
........ The price is insane, the mounting of the screen is even more so. I'm not sure if they have seen a formula one race but typically you don't stare up at 25 degrees or more. Also and most importantly $130K aaaannndddd you don't even get a full wrap around display, nor full motion. Again I say, for $130k. The chassis is cool, don't get me wrong, but that price for this little seems...... Well different is how I'm gonna phrase that. I'm glad that they do it as inevitably it will trickle down to a reasonable price for what you actually get but my guy, you can literally go actually racing on that kinda budget, or build one of the world's best all use Sims. Nah man, hard pass.
Only one screen and no hydraulics? So all the money is in the carbon fiber tub and the GPU from greedy NVIDIA, Dont tell me its a INTEL CPU in that rack chassie? i dont have that kind of money, but if i had like Lance Stroll money 130K is nothing. But still, not much you are getting for 130K USD. i would like to see some rolling hydraulics for the tub so it would roll in turns a bit, sitt on the rear tire´s then accelerating and dip forward then breaking. Dont need to much like a 50cm travel or so. just something at least for 130K.... And move down the screen so the bottom of the screen at least have contact with the tub. its way to high up and are not in line with the tub for what you would see IRL.
I’m sorry but in so many ways this could be done in a much more immersive way. Why would I sit in a seat with a wheel in front of me to look up at a cockpit view on a game. Not even a sim.
So its 110k dollar chassis. Gotcha because the actual rig inside is only 20k. Just checked. I truely hope yall made it more comfortable then a normal f1 seat. Because this is sim racing sure make it realistic but we arent pro drivers here comfort is huge when wanting to sin race all day.
You’re telling me someone would pay this much for a sim just to play the crappy F1 game on a single screen? Geez. Also, how many sim racers just race 1type of car? You’d feel weird doing GT races or vintage cars in something like this. Just get the sim Max actually uses.
Dude.... Move the screen down so it's sitting on the car, and it would be fine. Right now, as it is, they're looking up way above the wheel. Terrible FOV....lol
I thought the same thing....FOV is F$&%ed. Im sure they move the screen down...but good grief that looks like crap on the monitor.
Also the fact that they can see the wheel in-game completely ruins the immersion. they're looking up, through a cockpit, into another cockpit. with two steering wheels in view... that must be a nightmare to drive. I have a more immersive sim at home made from wood 🤣

not even a G9
its a scam really whats the point of the tub being carbon fiber if its not for actual racing its pointless if its going to sit in a room xD
I think this whole thing is rather for B2B promtion stuff
It's optional. You can have it with or without motion and with or without a front wing.

Please correct the cockpit view. You don't want to see a steering wheel on screen when your using your own. You want it to be authentic and real like.

why does it need a front wing?
Or even worse, a halo.
I'd pull plenty of girls with a $130,000 Porche Taycan but a sim cage for one in my bedroom? Hardly. I'll take the Taycan thank you.
The world has gone crazy, $130 for a game. And they think this is normal, that's why I think they're crazy!!
Just do tripple screen around the halo...
TL;DR TL;DW Max Verstappen is dominating F1 and is now a 3-time WDC. Yes, it's worth it no matter the cost.
