You read my mind🧠 because I was looking for another good iron. I'm currently using the purple remington that's 1 3/4" It also has titanium protection, it's really good yet affordable. I absolutely love this iron, but I want 1" plates...something a little more easy to hold when I'm doing people's hair that is much shorter. I'm going to check out the fhi. Thanks again chica💋

    Hi
I have fine to medium (fine edges and perimeter , medium/slightly course everything else) 4a/b hair and I’m in the market for a flat iron. I would like something to occasionally silk press my hair (2 to 3 times a year) so it wouldn’t be used often. Do you think it’d be best to get a babyliss ultra thin or the FHI flat iron?
I hear titanium can be damaging since it gets so hot, but is a 410 on a titanium hitter that a 410 on a ceramic/tourmaline flat iron?
Lastly, I’m 5’7 with medium back length hair(it’s pretty long) would you suggest a 1 inch flat iron or something wider like a 1 1/2?
    Thank you in advance.

Hey! Great questions! I’m not a hairstylist so this is purely my opinion. I think either or flat iron would work for you! Because I’ve personally. used the Babyliss on my own for my hair I know it a little better; however I do love the results from the FHI when I go to get it done by my hair stylist. I’m not sure in the difference between the heat setting (if one is more damaging than the other) All I know is to use the highest heat setting that will get YOUR hair straight but not to go over that heat setting. And last 1” or 1.5” would definitely work, I wouldn’t go any bigger than that. The 1” would force you to go in smaller sections than the 1.5” and if you’re looking for sleek results you def wanna work in smaller sections while straightening. Let me know if you come across any more questions!

I find ceramic to be better for fine textured natural hair. My hairstylist uses the Babyliss titanium flat iron and it completely took out my curl pattern. While I know heat damage is going to happen with using heat on a regular basis but I always had a curl pattern prior to going to a stylist on a regular basis because I was using professional ceramic flat irons like GHD, CHI and the Babyliss ceramic flat iron
