So much great info :) Was wondering if you know anything of the Bio Ionic 10x? If so what do you think of it
Thanks so much for watching. I haven't heard of that iron before. So I'm not sure.
Hi, I really liked your video!! I just wanted to ask, I have type 3c/b curly hair, should I use the Ion Magnesium flat iron after blow drying my hair or do I have to use a ceramic flat iron as well. Because you said magnesium should be use in combination with ceramic. Thank you very much ☺️
Hey. Thank you for watching. The ion magnesium Iron is a combination of ceramic and magnesium. You can use it on your hair with low to medium heat.
Great video! But I wanted to ask you about steam pods? I heard they’re the best for curly textured hair ? And Thank you so much!
I have never tried steam pods before. If I do I will make a video about it.
Thank you for watching ☺
I have Steampod and I love it! It just doesn't get my roots very well.
Thank you for this very informative video. I just purchase hot tools steam titanium flat iron from my local TJMaxx and I’m so nervous to use it. I’m an at home user, not a professional and I have natural course but not thick hair strands. What’s your thoughts?
Hey, It's hard to give hair advice without seeing your hair. But the best thing I can suggest is start at a low to medium heat setting and do as few passes as possible. And always use a heat protectant. Don't worry you got this 💪. Let me know how it turns out!
@@moorelovemom thank you.
Thank you for the video. I have very curly natural hair with coloring. It might dry nice for one day curly, then I have to flat iron to get rid of the dreaded FRIZZ any poofy ness after combing. My hair is thick and fine , can you recommend which straightener will give me silky feel single pass straightening? I was considering the GHD Plus, now after seeing your video I may consider the FHI. I did use a titanium straightner at my daughters A babyliss.. and I did get the single pass straight silky, is it too powerful for my hair?
Thank you for watching. The babyliss titanium will give you the silky straight one pass if that's what you already have. Just adjust the heat to work with your hair texture.
Is the ion magnesium pro good for curling as well? Great video btw, very informative!
Thank you 😊. Yes it works great for curling and waving. I would press your hair out first. Lower the temperature some more then curl or wave with it. If you check out my Instagram @moorethanhair_ basically all the curls and waves in my page was done with the ion magnesium.
I heard a tip from a stylist once that if the flat part of your flat iron (the plates) don’t touch each other completely and there is a small gap, then it isn’t a good flat iron. I am not sure if that is true but I bought a flat iron prior to knowing this and I have never been able to give myself a nice slick press out. (Could you confirm or discredit this?) ALSO , what heat protectant do you use when doing press outs?
That is very true. If your plates don't touch then you will not get a good press.
Here's a post I recently made about the heat protectant I like to use.
Yess thank you for this!!
You're welcome!
great video
Thank you for watching 🙏🏾
What’s your recommendation for straightening serums and straightening heat protecting? I recently got a blowout with tape and extensions ( professional) & the moment I went outside my hair puffed back up
There could be many reasons why your hair puffed up. For a heat protectant I would recommend silk essentials by Design essentials. That's my fave 😍. I've had many people say the Chi serum is great as well.
What about "Barnum Magnesium Straightener"?? It's the only one I could find in UK when I looked for the Ion Magnesium one. Does it work?
I checked out this flat iron and it looks to be quite similar to the ion one. Although I've never used it, you might like it. 👍🏾
hello i would like to know which is the best straightener for relaxed 4c hair☺️
Hi. The ion magnesium is good just use a low heat setting around 370. Then I would ho with the babyliss.
Thanks for the info.im a very thick coarse hair.i will get a titanium flat iron. And my hair is to my bra .when it's washed.it shrink to my neck.the shrinkage is real
You're welcome. Shrinkage is definitely real. Good luck 👍🏾.
What would you rank for the Paul Mitchell Smooth Plus flat iron ? I’m trying to decide between that or the Magnesium Ion flat iron
Todo list is great for me
I haven't tried that one before. But the most important thing for a flat iron is heat control so that you're not burning your hair.
Good luck! 👍🏾
@@moorelovemom Thanks hun. Purchased the Magnesium Ion flat iron that you recommended at Sally’s ($87). I appreciate your review/opinion because this flat iron is the TRUTH !!!! I have 4c hair btw. This flat iron makes Babyliss Nano Pro look like 🗑. Thank you so much 🙏🏾
@@miami-dade3058 you're welcome. That's why its my number one! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
So what do you think baby Liss pro or ion magnesium for thick curly hair?
Ion magnesium
For what kind of hair is the ion pro magnesium used on ? I have fine to medium hair but I don’t know it it would be great for mine, also does it keep the hair straight all day ?
It can be used on all hair types. For fine to medium hair start at a low heat setting. Never use it on 450. If used correctly it will keep for at least a week.
Thank you for watching ☺
If I use the heat protector I can still get heat damage? and if so is it ok if I straighten my hair twice a month?
The heat protector isn't 100% effective. That's why I suggest turning down the temp on your flat iron. Start at 370F. Twice a month should be fine but I can't really say because I jave no idea what condition your hair is in.
Nice video but I wish you would’ve demonstrated on somebody hair so we can Actually see how these flat irons works but thanks for sharing
You're welcome. There's another video on her where I use the magnesium pro.
Please for those of us who can't afford those ones... Can you refer more pocket friendly for 4c hair type, thanks
The magnesium pro at Sally Brauty is very affordable. Especially when they have a sale.
Have you heard of or used Duvolle flat irons?
Hey hun, I've never heard of them before. The best thing I can say is read the reviews about any new product you're thinking of trying.
good luck! 👍🏾
What's the best heat protectant for fine hair?
Olaplex No 7, design essentials silk elements or I've heard a lot of people like CHI. Because your hair is fine you need to use a little bit so it doesn't weigh down your hair.
@@moorelovemom Okay, thank you!
You're welcome
How bout damaged bleach hair would it be safe to use
On very low heat. But I wouldn't recommend heat for damaged bleached hair.
How to order ceramic iron to heavy duty
You can use Amazon or your local beauty supply store 😉. I'm not sure which country you're in.
What iron for bleached hair
Same iron but really low temperature. About 350F.
Auto shut off after 5 mins so quick, wouldn’t that take ages to. Flat iron?
It only shuts off if it sits unused for 5 minutes straight. So of you're using it to flat iron your hair it won't shit off.
