Come thru knowledge!!!! Love the breakdown!!!!
What a great, thorough, and informative vlog! Thank you for this! Appreciate you explaining the pros & cons in a manner us non-stylists understand.
Thank you so much for watching! I appreciate the comment and support so much!
Finally a video which really gets straight to the fucking point thank you so much because the way these girls make these videos and don’t put anything in the description box is really frustrating I want to thank you so much for this
Thank you for your support! Time is so important! I appreciate the kind words.
I just stumbled upon your video by happenstance because I am looking to update all of my salon tools your content in this video has been more than helpful and the spirit that comes off of your video is very pleasant so thank you so much I look forward to more content
I thoroughly appreciate this! Thank you so much more to come! Please let me know if you have any questions. Also feel free to reach out to us on Instagram!
I loveee listening to your voice, it’s so soothing
I really appreciate the support! Thanks for watching. Excellent content on the way!
This review…👌🏾. You just helped me solidify my decision to buy a FHI
So happy to hear! Check out the link in the description to see if they are having a sale and to get the warranty. Thanks for watching!
I love the FHI iron! That's what I use when I actually straighten my hair myself and it's amazing! Nice review/recommendations!
It’s so incredible! It really does such a great job. And you have tons and tons of hair! Thanks for watching
Great video!! I love your energy! Thanks for the info of each product. It really helps with purchasing options.
New Subbie!!
I truly appreciate that! Thanks for your support! More fun to come!
I agree with you...I have the FHI and I love it!
It’s definitely my go to! For years! Thanks for your support
Thanks for the reviews. Your vid is great! Very informative. I was a salon rep for over 20 years. I sold FHI flat irons to salons and liked them so much I got one for myself. Just like the one you reviewed--1 1/4" red ceramic plates. And 16 years later, it finally died! I just ordered another one.
Wow that's awesome Bonnie! They really are a great brand! I appreciate your support thank you so much for watching!
Great review. Thank you!
Thank you so much for watching!
Great video, I was about to buy the FHI on Amazon but decided to check out the reviews on RUclips first, found your video with the direct link to FHI where I signed up and saved $25 off of the same price I was about to spend on Amazon. Thank you!
Oh yes! That’s makes me so happy to hear. I always encourage that because you also get the ease of mind of having the manufacturer’s warrantee as well. Thanks so much for watching
I have the FHI, too. I LOVE it. It’s THE best. But, I’ve never used anything else, but a CHI and I didn’t like it as much as the FHI. LOVE this!!
Thank you for watching! I love mine too. I use it daily at the salon. And yes my CHI experience has been very similar
I just ordered my fhi because of you!!! My Paul Mitchell just broke after 6 years. I can't wait till it gets here! Thank you for helping me pick!
I hope you love it! I love Paul Mitchell also honestly, but I just can’t let this iron go!!
how do you like it?
Thank you!! About to order to FHI right now. This is my confirmation after watching another review. I've never had a quality flat iron and it's time!
Absolutely! Thank you for watching. I believe they have some promos going on at the link in the description and you get the warranty as well. I appreciate the support!
@@TheBrandonExperience I ordered and got it for $90 flat after applying the welcome code I got for signing up. So ready to receive it and curl my hair. 😅 Thank you again! I'm also eyeing a new blow dryer and saw your video about the one you recommended so when I do buy another, I'll get that one.
@@aleshadshay568 I'm so happy you took advantage of that! Yes! Great news!!!!
I’m a stylist in Cleveland and my favorites are GHD, flatiron tools I’m gonna try your curly products love the video 👄💋☝️
Nice!! I’ve heard excellent things about GHD! Thanks for your support!!
Thanks for this! I been wanting to buy a good flat iron for my coarse hair. The ceramic ones I have snag at my hair 🤦🏾♀️ I’m going to invest in the FHI I’ve been looking at it for a while and this was validation
It's so good. I think you are truly going to enjoy it. I have been using it all day today at the salon. The link is in the description, it'll be shipped directly to you.
Learn something new every video!! mannnnnnnn !!
Thank you for that comment! That’s my goal
Great informative video thank you
Thank you so much for watching!
Great review.
Thank you so much for watching!
Please do a blowdryer version of this! First video I've watched, and I am now a subscriber
That is such a great idea. I’ll def work on that
I just watched this video and I love it thank you for your comments on these tools. Which fhi is the best I have thick 4b/4a hair and use my tools for extensions as well
Thank you so much for watching. Any of the FHI’s would work, I love ceramic so the Platform is my go to but I also love their titanium tools. They are on sale if you go to the link in the description bar also!
Keep in mind when selecting products, temperature for styling and tools consider your texture (the diameter of the individual hair strand: fine, medium, coarse) not necessarily the curl pattern. I hope that helps!
Great video, thank you! New subscriber 💕
Thank you so much for watching and subscribing! It’s much appreciated!
Thank you so much for your review ❤️ Whats the size of the FHI flat iron and do you recommend the color wow dream coat for straightening or is there a better option for straightening…?💕
Loveeeee u for this. So a video on shears
Thank you. That is such a great recommendation. I will add that to the list. :)
New Subbie! I was investing in a new tool and came across this!
Thank you so much! We have some awesome content on the way shortly!
AYEEEEEEEEE LETS GOOOOOO
It's time to go innnn!!
Great video! I have fine/thin natural hair that seems prone to breakage. I’m between the FHI and Paul Mitchell Smooth+. My hair goal is to be a natural that straightens every 2-3 weeks. I also would like a flat iron that gives nice curls. Which iron would you recommend between the two mentioned above? Thank you!
Hi Kennedy thanks so much for watching! I go back and forth as well at times on my favorites but I keep going back to my original choice! I’d go with the FHI, I have a link in my bio and they have a promo going on usually as well! Happy hair journey!
What’s the best and SAFEST temperature to use for the FHI iron that won’t burn your hair?
I use cloud 9 …these are the the best ones lve ever used.
Hi I love your videos I want to know which flat iron is the best to use for keratin or protein hair traitement
Hello! Thank you so much for your support! I would look at the directions on the system you are using. Some require high heat. The FHI and the Babyliss can get to 450 degrees.
This video was really helpful, I've been using the Babyliss since February, and it's great but I think I want to try the FHI since I straighten my hair often and it's ceramic, what do you think?
I’m a huge fan of ceramic heat. The Babyliss does excel at what it does best but for versatility and health I tend to lean towards ceramic. I think you should treat yourself!
@@TheBrandonExperience Okay thanks for your input, I'll be getting the FHI!
great video ! i’m looking for a new iron bc the one i have pulls my hair when i’m trying to add waves or curls. i have thick, frizzy, curly hair that is color treated, could you recommend an iron that won’t burn my hair but still give me silky smoothness to straighten and curl ?
Thank you so much for watching! I recommend the FHI for you. The plates are smooth, the heat is variable so you can control it and not burn your hair. The link is in the description box, you can go with the ceramic or the titanium. I am partial to ceramic for most home use cases.
Have you tried EAP? I love what I’m seeing for the FHI
Thank you for watching. I have used a coworkers before. I had no complaints!
What are your thoughts on the brand nume in comparion to fhi? Also what is the ideal width for straightening and creating curls. 1” or 1 1/4”. I have extremely thick/coarse 4b/4c hair. Thanks so much😇
Thank you so much for watching. Any of the FHI’s would work, I love ceramic so the Platform is my go to but I also love their titanium tools. They are available at the link in the description bar also!
I love the 1" for curls that last.
Keep in mind when selecting products, temperature for styling and tools consider your texture (the diameter of the individual hair strand: fine, medium, coarse) not necessarily the curl pattern. I hope that helps!
This was great, thank you! I’ve read so many inconsistent product reviews that my head was spinning before coming across this video! Do
you recommend the FHI for human hair extensions? Thanks *Also considering the Paul Mitchell
Hi! Thank you for watching, yes, I LOVE the FHI for all types of extensions. The temperature control means you can work with all textures of extensions as well! I hope that helps
@@TheBrandonExperience Thank you for responding! I ordered the FHI :-)
What heat/temp do you obtain good results with? thank you
@@abolorej9550 Temperature selection varies based on hair texture, condition of hair and what I am trying to achieve. As a general rule, finer hair requires less heat than coarse hair to smooth out. Remember, texture is the thickness of the hair strand, it has nothing to do with curl pattern. I hope that helps!
@@TheBrandonExperience Thanks!
How do we adjust the plates in our straighteners??
Did you try the FHI elite black ceramic flat iron styler? Its there most expensive one. I had the red platform which lasted with me 8 years. I want to order another one but saw that there were other ones on their website.
Also what is better ceramic or titanium plates? Whats the pros and con's
Thank you
Hi! I have not used it yet. I do have the EPS blow dryer from that line. I haven't found the need to leave my classic platform behind just yet. Regarding ceramic vs titanium it really is just a matter of preference, you can accomplish the same thing with both. If I had to say which can deliver more intense heat, I'd go with the titanium. Ceramic feels more gentle but again temperature controls were created for that reason, so you can lower/raise it depending on the texture of the hair (not the curl pattern).
I think they have a deal going at the link in the description for FHI. Thanks for watching!
this video is great, which one would be better for relaxed 4c hair 😊 thanks
Thank you so much for watching. As long as you are making your temperature selection based upon your texture and not your curl pattern you are good. The FHI is my favorite all around.
@@TheBrandonExperience I will buy that iron, I hope I love it like you
@@mysecretdiary5444 Great!! The direct link is in the description. Getting it from the manufacturer gets you a great warranty which is so important with tools that heat up.
Which one is better for a flat iron for silk press on kinky hair? I wanna invest in a good one that’s versatile. I’m between the Babyliss and fhi. After watching this I’m leaning more towards the babyliss.
Honestly either or. The secret to a silk press lines in the prep before the iron. The FHI is more versatile but the Babyliss is definitely a firmer press. Not the best for curling though
Please I need your advice, what is the best flat iron for 4C hair type, my hair is Frizzy, dry and brittle, also very weak, I have a ceramic Tourmaline iron, it is smooth but doesn't hold the style even for one day, need an iron that is smooth, not damaging, at the same time holds style at least for 2 days. Thank You.
I would recommend either the FHI or the Babyliss. Remember blow drying is the most important part of styling frizzy hair. Addressing your hydration issues first will help you. I have a few videos that mention my favorites to take care of that. Holding spray will help as well as pin curling or a similar method can help with style preservation. Thanks for watching!
Cannot find the BaByliss titanium pro anywhere in the U.K., not even on the Babyliss official website :(
Get the FHI at the link in my bio. They are great and usually have a sale!
Can you do a tutorial on those curls
Yes, I am doing a tutorial on styling next week. Thank you so much!
I need a new iron so I was checking for reviews and loved yours. I was getting the babyliss but now I thinking on the FHI. What do you recommend, I have thick hair.
Thank you for watching Mayra. What do you use your iron for mostly? If you just straighten the babyliss is wonderful but if you are looking for a good all around iron check the FHI. I love to curl and wave with it. If you have thick/long hair a 1.25 inch plate will save you time. A 1 inch is great for longer lasting curls. I hope that helps!
Thank you for the respond so quickly....The iron I use it for both straighten and curl I was thinking of the babyliss pro ultra thin because i thought it was best for curling than the regular one. What do u thing or I should go with the FHI?
@@mayrarodriguez575 I am not a fan of that thin one at all. It is popular though for some people. If you purchase it just make sure whenever you get it from allows returns just in case you don’t like it.
@@mayrarodriguez575 Get the FHI flat iron. I've used the babyliss flat iron for nearly 9 years. I got the FHI flat iron about a month ago (because it was on sale) and I misplaced my babyliss so I decided to use the FHI iron. Well I'm glad I did because the FHI flat iron made my hair so silky with minimal heat. In some weird way that I can't explain it felt like it gave me a moisturized silk out rather than the slight fried/dried out silk out I get with my babyliss flat iron. I live in Florida and usually when I flat iron my hair it frizzes within the next day or 2. Well after using the FHI flat iron my hair hasn't frizzed one bit and it's been 3 days. On top of that I work sometimes in the heat and my hair is still fresh as the day I pressed it. So, yea get the FHI flat iron.
@@Kim-zp9kn thank you!
I bought a Babyliss from Sally’s last night
Oh awesome! I like their products a lot! Thanks for watching
It is broken now and I’m seeking a better one
the babyliss is what I use because I noticed my hairdresser using it haha. I never see anyone recommend it! I am trying to find the best products for when I flat iron my curly hair. I saw your other color wow video. do you recommend the dream coat for straightening too?
Babyliss really makes awesome irons! And I love the dreams coat! I do think the system works best if you use the shampoo and appropriate conditioner with it though and saturate extremely well with the Dream Coat! It gives frizz-reduction, humidity-protection and mega shine for the next 3-4 shampoos. HIGHLY recommended!
@@TheBrandonExperience If I straighten my hair once a week do I use the Dream Coat (not the one for curly hair) once a week or once a month if it last for 3-4 shampoos? Also, can you recommend an intense deep conditioner for dry, 3c, curly hair (i'm in Colorado too - my hair can get like shredded wheat dry). Thank you!
@@vee2841 You can use Dream Coat every 3-4 shampoos so if you shampoo weekly, and you shampoo twice every time, that would be every 2-3 weeks for you. For a good intense deep conditioner check out All Soft Heavy Cream on my website or Olaplex No. 8 (Pre-orders are open)
HEEEEEEEY BRANDON , MY DARLING 😀. YOU HAVE LITTERALLY SAVED MY LIFE. I HAVE FINALLY OPEN MY OWN SALON , A DREAM OF MINE . I HAVE BEEN DEBATING WHICH IS THE BEST FLAT IRON TO INVEST IN . I AM ALREADY BROKE BY PUTTING ALL MY FUNDS INTO MY BUSINESS , SO YOU KNOW I CAN'T BAD SPEND A CENT RIGHT NOW.😣😣😣. IT'S TOUGH GUYS . BUT YOU MADE MY ME MADE UP MY MIND . MY CUSTOMERS LOVE THE SILK PRESS SO I KNOW EXACTLY WHICH ONE TO CHOOSE...........YOUR VIDEO WAS SUPER , SUPER INFORMSTIVE , YOU TOOK YOUR TIME AND EXPLAINED WELL, YOU ALSO SAID HONESTLY WHAT YOU DID AND DID NOT LIKE SO WE ALL KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT , WELL DONE BRANDON. 👏👏👏👏. IT WILL SAVE US MONEY AS WELL , BY NOT MAKING BAD CHOICES .......HAVE A GOOD ONE MY FRIEND .......CAN YOU DO A VIDEO ON CURLING IRONS AS WELL???? PRETTY PLEASE 👍❤👍❤👍❤
So if someone really likes a silk press would you recommend the babyliss pro or FHI?
Great question! The best silk press is based off of the appropriate prep. Shampoo, condition and appropriate styler(s). The iron is the least important factor honestly. I prefer ceramic for certain hair textures and titanium for others. The FHI is prob the best value though all around. I believe they may be on sale at the link in the description! Thanks for watching 🙏🏽
I'm choosing between ceramic and titanium. I have coarse, thick, high density tightly textured hair, and I am leaning towards ceramic but a PM Neuro titanium flat iron caught my eye. Should I go for a PM Neuro or the ceramic one you suggested in the video?
I am a huge fan of FHI. They also have some titanium alternatives. I actually did an A & B comparison at the salon and I think we preferred the shine of the ceramic. You can’t go wrong either way. See if they have a sale going on at the link in the description
Hi I need a good flat iron I have real thick hair like I tried to flat my hair with flat irons it puffs right up what’s your recommendation for me ? Oh and my hair long too
A great blow-dry leads to a great flat-iron. And having a good smoothing iron and taking smaller sections. Humidity resistant products are helpful as well (I love Color Wow Dream Coat, I have a video on it). Lower your temperature and go slower with the iron/comb method to help too. I love the FHI irons

What are you thoughts on the Muk style stick 230IR?
Hi Lia! I’m not sure what that is. I’d have to look into it. Thank you so much for your comment!
Please review the Babyblisss prima 3000… 💙💙💙
Thank you for that! It's such a unique iron will definitely try to schedule
@@TheBrandonExperience have you reviewed it yet
@@Ohkeh640 my hair is 3b and this flat iron killed my hair, i have a good hair routine, I use Heat Protector, I used in the second level setting, I noticed everytime I needed cut my hair more and more and more, I finished with shoulder lenght, and before was in my low back,
1 time x Week used.
Can you review the deeper than hair flat iron?
I'll have to research it Thanks for sharing that!
@@TheBrandonExperience Okay thanks.
Hello, I was wondering if you knew the difference between the Fhi platform and fhi platform plus?
Great question! The regular Platform (my favorite) is the classic box shape. I really love the feel of it. The Plus is the rounded version. Same features but it is rounded and ideal for tighter curls. Still a great iron but I prefer the classic for what I do.
@@TheBrandonExperience Thank you for your reply. I will give it a try 👌🙂
Thank you so much for this video. I have been considering the FHI for at home for a LONG time. I also was considering the Paul Mitchell but didnt like that it only went up to 410. My hair is "4b-c" but fine. Think I will try the FHI
@@yasminm1385 whichever you choose keep in mind 410 is hot enough for the majority of hair types. The blow dry is the most important for straightening you hair. When selecting your temperature think about the texture (fine) of your hair not so much the curl pattern.
@@TheBrandonExperience thank you! I found a great deal on the FHI which came with the blow dry for the same price as the flat iron...hasn't arrived yet so I hope it wasn't a "too good to be true deal" lol. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on blowdryers
Hi Brandon, what which one do you recommend for leave out?
Hi! I would recommend the FHI. I think that it would do a great job for all hair types. You can curl with it when you blend your leave out or smooth the hair really well with it. It also works wonderfully curling extensions!
Which one is the best for curling thicker hair?
Hi! For thick hair the FHI that’s in my bio does an excellent job!
Please advice: which FHI flat iron is better , the Regular FHI or the FHI plus with curved plates?
Than You.
Great question. I prefer the regular but the Plus version does a really great job curling though!
Thank you for saying most people DON'T HAVE COURSE HAIR! Especially African American women. Most are fine stranded. I see so many fine to medium haired ladies saying they have coarse strands and I'm like uuummmm no. They just don't know what coarse means.
Yes. Education is so important! Thank you for watching.
Can you guys tell me the highest value number?
Hi! What do you mean by highest value number?
Adjust the plates!?? Who knew! Lol
Yes if you lose that "feel" you like, that screw under that cap has more than likely gotten loose and needs adjustment to reset your tension.
@@TheBrandonExperience Could you please demonstrate how that's done? This is my first time hearing this and I just tried it with my Chi G2, but I don't know if I did it right.
@@angela.shanta Thanks for your support, I will add that to my list!

Done! Thank you for watching
have you tried EAP heat?
Hi! Great question! No I’ve never used that brand but I hear wonderful things about them!
What about h2 pro? Do you know if they’re any good?
@@lindseyb.3166 I used to use them but I prefer FHI’s plates
@@TheBrandonExperience are ceramic plates better or titanium?
@@lindseyb.3166 neither is better it’s more of a matter of preference. The heat from titanium seems to be more direct and intense and ceramic seems a little gentler. But with adjustable temperature settings you can achieve incredible results with either following a great blowdry and prep. The important thing is the quality of the plates. Check out the link in the description for discounts on the FHI
HSI*
I’ve never used HSI but have a colleague that loves that brand!
Everyone that goes to Paul Mitchell thinks Paul Mitchell is trash and their irons plates start to chip and peel after the first 6 months.
I hate to hear you have had such a bad experience. I am a Paul Mitchell alumni. I have never had those issues with my iron but I would encourage you to take advantage of their warranty if that is your challenge. They stand behind their products really well. Reach out to your school or Paul Mitchell Pro. If you do not have a resolution check out FHI in the description box. Thanks for watching!
@@TheBrandonExperience yesss. I was so pissed. I didn’t even bother to keep using it. I just use it for my wigs now. I graduated in August. Claybaugh even came to the school himself and spoke with us. I was so hype. I still don’t really like their products as they don’t use the best ingredients but I like the new natural line they just dropped ! I give it a 7/10.
@@TheBrandonExperience I bought a black EAP iron and used that the entire school year instead. Cus it didn’t stand out like a babyliss or Fhi. But I now work in a salon and I will definitely be looking into an FHI.
