    I have dry frizzy hair, which is better for me NO.6 or 7? Can I use NO.6 before Styling with flat iron?

    • @TheBrandonExperience
      @TheBrandonExperience  3 года назад +1

      Thank you! Great question. I would recommend combining them, No. 6 for the frizz and No. 7 for the thermal protection

    This was such an informative and professional video! Although this is safe all hair types,
    I have what I think I is 4C low porosity hair. Is there an application method or approach to Olaplex that varies by hair type?

    • @TheBrandonExperience
      @TheBrandonExperience  3 года назад +3

      Hi Tonya! Yes, I would recommend starting with Olaplex No. 0 to aid in the effectiveness of No. 3. if you have lower porosity.
      Regarding application method, I would apply it the same. However with curls I would recommend distributing product with a wide tooth comb. Never use the product in a spray bottle though! It will seriously make you cough. The bond relinking is meant for the hair not to be aerosolized into the lungs (experience taught me lol).

    Is it best on dry hair or wet or what is the recommendations for manufacturers instructions?

    • @TheBrandonExperience
      @TheBrandonExperience  3 года назад

      Hi Wendy, the instructions I find best and are directly from the manufacturer is: Dampen hair and apply from roots to ends.

    I have coloured hair. Only because of the grey ;) i do dry my hair. My hair breaks easy. My hair loss started some years ago. It was after a hairdresser Made My hair so light(orange) And since then it never became the same. I know its stress also after the loss of My dad. But i wonder if this would also strengten My hair? If it can make My hair stronger? Every 5 weeks i paint My hair because of the grey. I just bought 3,4,5,6 And first time i blow dryed My hair after. Because of the number 3 it felt soft. But i found My hair feel like i had not washed it. So next day i washed it again And Did the 3 steps. But it Made My hair like it was nothing. No volume. I have thin hair. I have to say that. But after My hairdresser destroyed it never became better. I did not loose My dad at that time. But it seems like i have been cutting My hair so many times And that the damAge had to be out. But still its terrible 🙈
    Do you have tips for me? Should i let GO of number 6? Should i only use number 3 And then normal shampoo?or can i still use 4 And 5? And also should i still use mask for My hair from some other brand?

    • @TheBrandonExperience
      @TheBrandonExperience  3 года назад +1

      Hi Tasha! Thank you so much for watching! I have so many tips and information for you, most of which could be better communicated via consultation. However, Olaplex is wonderful for strengthening your hair. There are other products that specialize in other things such as keratin products. That is something that olaplaex does not address (Olaplex addresses something totally unique).
      Regarding the heaviness of the products, try to use less, Olaplex is extremely concentrated. When conditioning or using the leave-in or oil always start from the ends. If you have fine hair avoid the roots altogether!
      Please check out my website and schedule a consultation session so that we can go into detail further. I'd love to help you out.

    Questions: I currently use Decca Products (Satin Tame and the Deep Conditioner). If I use Olaplex 3, should I also buy and use Olaplex 4,5,6, and 7? Would like to use Olaplex 3 to correct and maintain healthy hair. I’m natural & do flat iron at least once a month. I just have minor damage from blow drying and flat ironing. I usually wash every 7 to 10 days. I don’t want to go totally to all Olaplex products & get rid of my beloved Decca Plus products, if I don’t have to. Just want to know if Olaplex 4,5,6, and 7 are absolutely necessary to see results from Olaplex 3. Love your videos!

    • @TheBrandonExperience
      @TheBrandonExperience  3 года назад

      I cannot believe I just saw your comment! My apologies. Olaplex No. 3 can be used alone pre-shampoo. It pairs extremely well with the newly released No. 1. It gives it such a great boost. No need to get rid of your Decca. You can use the systems in conjuction with one another. I would just be cautious of mixing the satin tame and No. 6 Leave-In so that your hair isn't weighed down. Otherwise you should be good to go! Thanks for watching.

    Question👆🏽how long should you leave No.3 on? And do you need a processing cap or heat? You mentioned using No.7 before the blow dry but can you use it as a finisher for a wash and go? Also how much does this total service typically run you in a salon? Sorry for so many questions lol! Great video

    • @TheBrandonExperience
      @TheBrandonExperience  4 года назад +3

      NO! Don’t be sorry, I love questions like this! So No. 3 can be left on as long as you’d like, some of my clients sleep in it but as with any product, when it dries, the effective period is over. The minimum is 10 minutes though. No processing cap or heat is needed. It should be going on relatively clean hair too so that it can do it’s job, then follow with shampoo and conditioning.
      And absolutely, I use the No. 7 for a wash and go. It doesn’t have hold though so I would follow it up with whatever styling product (twisting creme, mousse, or gel) you usually use.
      Standalone OLAPLEX treatments really vary depending on the stylist/salon and the amount of product you need based on the client’s hair density but a popular pricing for treatments is approximately $1 per minute. (So an average client may pay $30 for the treatment). A lot of salons make it a good practice of including the No. 3 in their pricing too!

    Hi Brandon. Thank you so much for your video! I have natural high porosity hair so to ensure my moisture lasts, I layer product on my hair. I would like to use no. 3 but I fear it won’t penetrate my strands without washing. Would you suggest I do 1 wash then add the olaplex or will it work as a prepoo on my hair as is? Thanks for your help 😊

    • @TheBrandonExperience
      @TheBrandonExperience  3 года назад

      Hi Ashlee! That’s an excellent question! You may use No.3 on damp towel-dried hair but feel free to cleanse your hair first if you have excessive product build up. Just be sure to follow up No. 3 with shampoo and conditioner.
      My current go-to is to use No. 0 (a new product they released that preps No. 3 for challenges like what you describe) and then follow that up with No. 3. I hope that helps. Thank you for watching!

    • @TheBrandonExperience

      Yes by all means! Olaplex 3 is designed to be used pre-shampoo. Dream Coat is a post shampoo and condition product. They work very different and are perfectly safe to use together

      @TheBrandonExperience  3 года назад

      Hi! Excellent question. Yes, Olaplex is safe to use on the entire hair strand. Keep in mind when using any concentrated product line it is important to condition or apply styling products starting with your ends to avoid weighing your hair down, especially if you have low density or fine texture.

    Can i use it on alopecia hair of 4year old

    • @TheBrandonExperience
      @TheBrandonExperience  3 года назад

      That’s a great question. Olaplex works on the hair structure externally. Some forms of alopecia are linked to issues internally. My first recommendation is to consult a physician, they MAY recommend minoxidil, finasteride or even steroid injections. Any time a product is used on someone under 5 I’d consult a physician first though.
      If the alopecia is caused by clogged follicles a clean ingredient, deep cleansing shampoo like Color Wow’s Shampoo on my site is a great option, that or Surface Awaken.
