Beautiful video! In answer to your question: I have been somewhere like that - and you were spot on - it is eerily similar to the dry country in the interior of British Columbia, Canada (Princeton and Merritt). Especially the green hills on the edge of town and the pine forest in the park. In Princeton all the trees are ponderosa pines. The pines in that park looked a bit different - but squint your eyes and you would have a hard time distinguishing Mexiquillo from the Similkameen River Valley (except the Similkameen has water all year thanks to snow melting up top). Thank you for showing that the vast dry expanse in northern Mexico has so many beautiful locations worth visiting!
I as mexican always thought of durango as a big empty landmass with nothing but its small capital, but you are showing how it has some very cool stuff, keep it up!
I thought the same! But Mexiquillo, Puente de Ojuela and Nombre de Dios are just a small selection. If you have a car, there's so much more on offer. It's on San Luis P levels of variety!
Wow... You are showing us Mexicans what Durango has to offer and how unshocked one should be about finding diverse climates, landscapes in Mexico. That place is out of this world: rock pancake-like formations in a wet climate surrounded by pine trees. What?! Incredible. Thanks hun!

Rain season in Durango starts in mid June and lasts till October, that's why you are seeing dry waterfalls, and El Saltito's in Nombre de Dios waterfall is mainly dry because of the dry season and the dam of the Nazas river is closed. They open the river's flow in rain season

@@davidostrowski679 oh lovely. You are grand.
Elevation plays a huge role in fauna and flora. In west Texas, New Mexico and Arizona, there are what's called sky islands. These areas are higher elevations than the surrounding deserts and thus more pines and trees are seen. Amazing stuff to see.
Good job ! Nice video! thanks ... Durango my homeland...
The best state!!
Pretty interesting place, didn't know it existed!
Neither did I until a few months ago! Unknown Durango!
OMG the droughts!
Sequía! Loco!
You're much closer to my homeland now
Beautiful!
Nice video beautiful area 🤩
Thanks Julie!
It looks like you visited at the end of the dry season. The place was beautiful in June -- what must it have looked like in August or September?
Yep this was in early June. I think the water had returned by August!
Hermoso bien llovido
Qiuvole David, grate video. I’m currently living in Durango Durango 🦂, if you need a free ride somewhere or anything like that let me know. Keep up the good work.
Nice Area. So Amazing there. 😊👍
Crazy right
Another great video. 👍
Gracias Carlos!
Thanks for be in-my born place...
The Sierra Madre look amazing! I live in New Mexico and we do have scenery that's similar to Durango in the mountainous regions of the state.
Hi David. Great video! Looks a bit like Brimham Rocks in North Yorkshire UK. Bit greener of course in UK.. :)
And probably fewer broken ribs lol
Gorgeous!!

@@davidostrowski679 I was surprised to return in September, but now I'm not sure.

My kids have been to Mexiquillo in the summer to get away from Culiacan heat.
wow, what a cool place
Awesome videos 😎
Maybe u should go to Baseasachic, if you have time.. And Barrancas del Cobre.. Although if you don't, Durango offers just as amazing and beautiful landscapes
Bro. Im from durango i hope you had a great time visiting us
Nice video to enjoy whilst I’m stuck in London
Sorry you're stuck there! Any word on escaping yet?
@@davidostrowski679 On the Green list is Iceland, though I've already been. Portugal was taken off the list much to the annoyance of everyone. I don't hold out much hope this year.
Rain season in Durango starts in mid June and lasts till October, that's why you are seeing dry waterfalls, and El Saltito's in Nombre de Dios waterfall is mainly dry because of the dry season and the dam of the Nazas river is closed. They open the river's flow in rain season
Me da curiosidad jubilarme en Durango.
No pierda tiempo amigo. Venga a descansar y disfrutar su nueva casa.
