    I hope to buy a GTR R35 one day. I just needed to put in the work to increase my income, and the time. Believe it or not, someone brought a 2017 GTR to my workplace (Toyota) last week. It happened to be parked outside and I just couldn't stop admiring it. That was the time I had gotten the chance to stood that close to my, and most people's dream car. A co worker of mine had spoken with the owner. He would tell me that if you want a car just like that, it's not impossible, and you don't need to make 6 figures. He said you just need to make more than one income. However you plan to do it, there are so many ways, you just need to free up some time. I love everything about this car. From the looks to the performance. I have plenty of work to do. For those in my shoes, it's time to put work in. Make that dream come true. The car could be sitting in your driveway sooner than you think. Let's get itttt

    Thanks for this informative video, you got the best deal for sure, the prices are ridiculous now, but even though a lot of ppl consider it outdated now i still prefer it over the current sport cars.
    My question is would u buy it considering it is going to be discontinued?? Or u gonna look for other cars?? And what do u think about the new 2023 facelift??
    Stay safe.

      I was considering selling mine, but after reviewing prices of used one's and the crazy market adjustments on the new one's, i'm gonna keep it, probably till my grave... I think the GT-R is destined to be a classic and will be worth a lot of money 5-10 years from now. The engine is amazing, and the other issues that plague the GT-R can now be resolved without as much expense as the past. I see new one's now going for 150K, so I definitely wouldn't do that. I'd get a well maintained used one. Hopefully a one owner with limited mods. I was reviewing the used gt-r availability, and it's crazy the turnover on these cars. I'm seeing GT-R's that are like 5 years old with 3-7 owners. It's crazy. I'd find a used one, that had a nice loving owner. The facelift is fine, but the drivetrane is the same. I think the R36 will have a lot of electrification, leaving the R35 as a collectors edition. Only around 13K sold in the US. So find a good one and keep it!!

      @@The.Garage.Studio yea I had a 2009" got it August 2008 (owned 3 years) .. Just got another 2013 now..saw a completely stock unit with 30k miles so I got it. Call it nostalgia, had several sports cars since.. (lotus, corvettes, porsche AMGs...) and am surprised how now the gtr feels so analog and raw (compared to cars now) .. People miss the air cooled 911 and I have a similar thing with the GTR.. You can hear the clunks and whirrs and and a bit or turbo lag and the hydraulic steering.. You just don't get that with modern cars outside maybe a 911 Gt3 or lotus evora gt/400.. I do have a C8 z06 on order and debating on keeping the gtr (If I can afford) for some daily.. wet track days and some winter fun. Only thing I'll miss is a 3rd pedal..

    I’m sure you’ve been asked 100 times.
    Would you ever consider selling this car? Doing market research for the past few weeks led me to your channel.

    Admittedly I don’t own a gtr, however have you checked the bell housing regarding the clunk. Have you done the clips in the transmission?

    • @The.Garage.Studio
      @The.Garage.Studio  Год назад +1

      Have a 2012, clips not necessary. Yea, the clunk is not the bell housing, just shifting gears.

    Honestly regret not watching this before. I've test drove GT-Rs before and been on the market. I thought the noises were not normal and i kinda gave up getting one since i thought they were just old and outdated so ended up getting a '21 Shelby GT500. But now looking at this video, should've pulled the trigger on the GT-R 😢

      The GT-R is just such a mechanic beast. It's always talking to you... which is a good thing. It is an old platform.. but there is nothing like it !! Enjoy that Shelby though.. awesome car !!

      Awesome!! What year are you looking at. I'm going to create a video specifically on purchasing a used GTR. What things to look for, years to consider, etc. It's a really fun car. I love mine. I really need to do some mods to it.. but there is definitely a benefit in keeping it stock. I've been looking at the Pedal Commander for adjusting throttle response.

      @@The.Garage.Studio I am looking at the 09-13 Model only. I drive a 2013 Audi A7 TDI prestige now AWD its stock I haven't installed any of the bolt ons I have to make it 350HP/600tq. Its still in stock form at 275hp/425Tq its a great daily I got it 80k miles has 120k on it now. Does well against the 392 chargers in the 8th of mile and light to light. Until their HP kicks in going into the quarter lol.
      I love have you kept yours stock. I will use it more so as a daily as well. Bolt ons and a good tune will be just fine for me. I don't want it super loud just a nice tone and free up some pony's.
      You should atleast do bolt ons its great to see yours ticking close to the 130k give it a little love lolol.
      I look forward to your next video.

      @@BornToBeFamed Nice!!! Those Audi AWD's are awesome. Quick for sure!! I had a Cobb Access port.. and with no Bolt On's and adding some 100 octane gas to get it to 93.. it was a totally different car. The Cobb is too old to use now.. and took the tune off. Maybe will do again.. but their pricey..

    • @BornToBeFamed
      @BornToBeFamed Год назад +1

      @@The.Garage.Studio Yea those Cobb tuners are pretty pricey now days lol.
      I am located in Texas we have 93 at many pumps. 93 will surely wake it up. I have a big 496 Chevy silverado and I can surely feel the difference in 91 vs 93. So I can only image what the Gtr feels like under more octane and free exhaust

    how much was the timing chain service?

    • @The.Garage.Studio
      @The.Garage.Studio  Год назад

      That's kind of a complicated question. I took it to my regular shop who has lots of GT-R experience. They replaced the chain, tensioner and some other parts but the code kept coming back. I literally took it back to them 3 times. Finally, the shop gave me my money back for the labor (think $1,500) and said to take it to another shop. I found a nissan dealer that had a really good tech, and they made some adjustments as well as a couple of other things and the code has never came back. Long story short, i'd expect to pay around 5K for the service.

      First gear is a weak point. They don't break too often with stock power levels, especially if you don't launch the car.
