Dublin area? Would love to get a ride-a-long in a GTR if you're local. I'm looking to buy a CBA or DBA this spring.

you make it sound like a car that can do 0-60 in less than 3 seconds is not a big deal. The corvette c8 does basically the same times... and you can get a used GTR for 70k.

And you can get a brand new base C8 for 55k MSRP

thats way too cheap. Maybe with a ton of miles and you cant compare the build quality and reliability of a japanese care to an american made one. For me its not even an option. Most of the issues with the early GTRs and trasmissions were because people were abusing them. Its actually a myth. I can show you experts debunk this myth

@@Go.automotive btw just did a quick search on cargurus and there are literally no C8s for under 68k

You’re right, after checking the MSRP on a new corvette is minimum $68k, sure you can get a GT-R for $70k but don’t underestimate the maintenance cost of a GT-R and what it has.
Sure, it’s a fantastic car that’s amazing on the track and just as good on twisty roads. Between the two, the corvette is far better as a street car is far cheaper to maintain. The reason why I can give the corvette credit, my dad owns a new C8 and I’ve driven it before to compare how the two drive. The GT-R isn’t even close to how comfortable the corvette is and at this point I can even say the launch and lower end power on the GT-R is more exhilarating since the C8 has the same 0-60, the only straight line performance difference is the C8 has far better top high power at high speeds, at those same speeds the GT-R’s difference in displacement is known.
I still think the Corvette is a better bargain, you’re getting a used second GT-R for the same price as a new corvette. Used miles can tell you if you had an unreliable owner, you just don’t want to figure out if the car had an unreliable owner once you have to catch up with the maintenance on one, these cars aren’t cheap and they aren’t easy to fix
