    This gtr r35 is the ultimate supercar ever produced capable of killing ferrari's, lambo's etc if correctly tuned & modified for a lot less money. It will be remembered as one of the greatest car's in automotive history just like it's predecessor the gtr r34 which has ultimately become a collector's item for car enthusiasts.

      @@Blurris. The whole used car market is overpriced to the point that is better to buy new. However, on the GTR, "new" means $20-$40K mark up price for a total of around $160K for a car that's been virtually the same since 2008?!?! Yes, overpriced!
      The only ones salivating and praising Nissan are the bunch that haven't owned one and realize that it is just like any other car with very capable fast acceleration. But that is it. Now there are cars like the M4 beating it out of the box.
      The GTR interior is dated, the transmission noisy, room is tight, front clearance sucks, disk brakes crack, and all comes with the getho support of budget car manufacturer, Nissan. Bought mine in '16, a 2014 BE FBO/e85 for $75K and 9K miles. Now, it would cost $90K with 30K rough miles on it. Yeah, no thanks. I went ahead and dropped $103K on a fully loaded M4---> day and night change. I'll never looked back, I scratched that GTR itch, now I've moved on.

    I love my 2017 R35, it's nearly stock and it's reliable but so brutal powerful in acceleration. The only thing I would love to have is a manual transmission as it's my first car without one the last 26 years. I'm pretty sure you can do better 0-100 time if you practice more! Great review just forgot to open the hood to see if they have made any changes in the engine dpt!

    Too much money 💰 for what you get!!! A Tesla Plaid or Cheverolet Corvette is probably a better value for your money even a 911 for close to the same amount of money. It will be difficult for Nissan to compete at this level but I am a very big Nissan fan and have owned many Nissans in the past and I have loved all of them. I currently own a 2021 Sentra SR and I absolutely love it for $27,000. I am waiting patiently for the new Z car and I will probably own one of those when it comes out. If anyone can get back on top it will be Nissan because they are good at putting money where it’s best spent and their design language and bulletproof engines are exceptional and last over time.

    Myth: GT-R is now too old and couldn't keep up with it's rivals.
    Fact: there are serveral sides of performance measures in automotive industry. But lot of people measures it from straight line speed and track performance. In case of track performance, lot of car makers attempts records at Nürburgring to prove there capabilities.
    So GT-R's main rival of course the 911 Turbo S. Hope you can remember Porsche and Nissan fought for Nürburgring records back in the days. In case of the Turbo S, 992 is actually slower than the 991.2 (source - sport auto and Porsche also confirmed it). Lap times are 7:17.1 and 7:17.3 respectively. GT-R caught up the 7:18-7:19 mark already in 2012. After 2017 updates Nissan didn't tested it at the Nürburgring (because it'll reduce the value of the Nismo version). But from independent tests at other tracks, updated version was 0.5-1 seconds quicker. And now with carbon-ceramic brakes, lightweight wheels and etc. There's no way the Turbo S would keep up with it. so yeah, GT-R is technically faster than a 992 Turbo S around the Nürburgring. And also can keep with a Audi R8 in a straight line.
    I got little bit more respect for the GT-R than the Turbo S, because it's half of that Porsche's price.

      @Alby911 2 года назад +7

      With all due respect, who gives a damn? Unless you're a talented track demon these numbers are largely irrelevant. And owners of either car don't need hot laps to validate their purchase. For sure the GT-R presents one of the best price/performance ratio, but at the end of the day it really doesn't matter if all that power isn't in the right hands.

The same knobs who'll not let you buy this car because it doesn't have SIPs will, under the right circumstances send young men and women to a war zone and ask them to "risk it all"...bah!

    I really liked the R35 GTR when it came out well over a decade ago. It was an affordable supercar killer. Now its ancient and costs more than faster cars with similar price tag. The interior is laughably bad which was fine when it was half the price that it currently sells at new. I think Nissan priced it a little out of the market/purpose. Does sound fantastic for a V6 though and surprisingly tail happy when pushed. I'd get a 2015 Track edition, add some aftermarket Rays wheels and be much better off than this new one. Definitely a charming car which is rare these days

    The GTR was a beast, but the fact this vehicles chassis and drive train is still being sold in 2022 is just lazy by Nissan in my opinion.
    The car was launched in 2007, to put that into perspective of how long ago that actually was......most of us were still using MySpace to talk to friends and buying phone credit from the servo where we'd spot that new VE commodore that had just hit the Australian streets😅

    Its nice to see they went with the Carbon brakes but the horse power is lacking in my opinion. It should be 600+. I don't know about those Dunlap tires, there are several people have had blowout on the factory Dunlap run flats at speeds close to 200 MPH. I went with a set of Pilot Sport 4S tires. There are better tires I'm sure but I these work well for my needs. That little pull tab on the trunk/boot is silly. The trunk/boot lid is actually very heavy and doesn't take much to close it. I find my self pulling with one hand and holding it underneath with the other gently lowering it. All in all, the T-Spec has some a few cool upgrades but I don't see $190k vs the base premium model price of $115k. A set of OEM Carbon brakes will set you back around $23k plus labor making it $138k plus another $2,000-3,000 Midpipe/tune to get you 600 hp for a total of $140-141K making it competitive with the above mentioned cars in the video and about $40-45k less.

    At the time of this comment the video is 9 days old. The last batch of these cars to come into Australia in october 2021 were already sold before they got here. I doubt 1 dealer has any left that aren't sold. I work for a Nissan dealer and was lucky enough to have a drive of the t-spec and Nismo SV models and despite the platform being over 10 years old these cars will always put a smile on your face every time you drive one.

    I could get a fully loaded 911 Turbo S or even a second hand GT2RS that is Faster, better handling, more engaging, more reliable, a better brand, safer, more tech friendly, higher quality and isn’t based on an almost 15 year old car…I’m sorry but the GTR now is just so overpriced in 2022 for what your getting, and with T Specs trading for 600-800k, it’s not competing with the R8…it’s competing with the 720S, and Huracan which are way more engaging and fun to drive. The whole reason why you would buy a GTR was because it truely was a great package for the price…..10 years ago….now there are 4 door sedans for the same money that monster it. I hope the R36 lives up to the hype and truely upholds the GTR heritage like it should. Nissan I’m disappointed in as they truely haven’t done anything revolutionary for the GTR ever since it’s debut. It’s a gorgeous car, it’s performance is still remarkable and it has that essence from previous generations Skylines but it’s silly in 2022 although second hand GTR’s are exceptional value for money and borderline bargains.

    At this point the GTR should've been better than how it is. I think rn its just living up to a old name. Interior looks like 2000s. Yea the design looks cool but atleast make some tweaks to make it look more modern, and that doesn't have to be a full redesign. I my eyes i think this is the cheapest sports/super car and im bot talking about the price.
