Perfect diet. Unfortunately, many if not most can’t afford to eat this way. We definitely need to find a way to make these foods available to the masses because it would totally change the health care paradigm.
My diet is far from 'perfect' - this is just a representation of a day where I really focused on high quality foods. It's not feasible for me every day either! Your point is so true...we have to do better when it comes to increasing access and education about healthy foods and eating.
I agree, this should be more affordable for our generation and those to follow. It’s quite sad that we can’t do better here. Love your video, thank you for making it!
You get your veges from the green grocers and fish from the fish mongers..much cheaper. Frozen fruits and veges are cheaper and are still healthy I am now starting an anti inflammatory diet and I am doing it that way.. and also you only need a little bit of everything on your plate. People spend alot of money on takeaway..so cutting off takeaway and putting some money aside and do a huge haul.
Hi Jordan, I love your channel! I experienced secondary infertility before having my second child. I started going to a Naturopathic Doctor after a year of unsuccessful treatments at a Fertility clinic. My Naturopathic Doctor immediately put me on an anti-inflammatory diet (and acupuncture) and within six months I became pregnant. My diet also eliminated eggs. We definitely are what we eat. Unfortunately, a lot of doctors are not progressive enough to know or tell you what you should be eating or eliminating from your diet.
WOW! Thank you for sharing your story! Yes, eggs are one of the top allergens unfortunately, so not an option for everyone. How amazing that you became pregnant after those positive changes! So true - we turn to medicine far too often rather than empowering patients with the education on lifestyle changes.
So true - I am lucky to find these options at my local supermarket. I know they're not widely available and that sucks. I did post some links in the description to order online - but it's also okay to substitute with what you can find like spinach, herbs, hummus instead of tahini or canned chickpeas, whole grain breads or sourdough.
Hi Jordan! Thank you for the video, I loved the recipes! I'm curious, how long have you been following this kind of diet, and has it helped improve/manage your PCOS? I've been following you for quite some time, and I too have experimented with all kinds of diets in order to try to treat my PCOS (vegan for several years, paleo, gluten and dairy free, etc.) How long do you think it's best to try out a given diet for to see if symptoms are improving? And would you consider doing another video with all things PCOS-related?
Hi there! I think the best way to know if a dietary change is working for you is to track your symptoms (length of cycle, ovulation, acne, etc.) and get blood testing done with your PCP. I usually give a change at least 3 months so see how it's affecting me.
I followed your instructions for the smoothie to the T! It was delicious! I couldn’t find the same pea protein you had though... so I substituted it with a sun warrior protein. Thank you for making this video! I loved it! Do you recommend sweet potato as part of an anti-inflammatory diet?
Yes I do! 1 cup non-dairy milk 1 cup water 1 serving vanilla protein powder of your choice 2 tbsp ground flax seed 1-2 tsp raw cacao powder 1/4 tsp sea salt 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil handful of greens frozen or fresh ice (optional) blend it up and enjoy!
@@jordanwaddell Ha ha ha... That makes far more sense. Thanks! I just figured there must be such a thing as a processed green ;) Thanks for getting back with me :)
Gosh.. no smoothie, as pea protein & legumes generally are super inflammatory for me. The free range egg & avocado toast is a good one for me to try. I aim for a similar amount of protein per meal also. Nuts I can only get away with a handful or 3 times a week. Sardines I've yet to try. Bone broth is a mainstay for me. I generally have to stay fairly low carb. I'd have some meat in my stew. Always interested in low inflam. diet.
So what about the lectins? I have heard so many times that, all night shades, onions, garlic, and ,soy are bad for people with hashimoto and leaky gut issues. I am so confused what I can and can not have.. 😭
I have a question, do you eat eggs often? Do you try to avoid foods high in saturated and cholesterol? I also have PCOS so I was curious. These foods sometimes makes the sides of my hips hurt or I'm just imagining it 😅. I still eat chicken breast, salmon, egg whites etc. Maybe it's different for everyone?
Haha! Sometimes I do! But I know that's not for everyone :) I did a video a few months ago with sardine recipes: ruclips.net/video/msCDJg7JTXo/видео.html
Hi Rachel! You might find this PubMed article interesting: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4586567/ Eggs have both anti- and pro-inflammatory compounds. Unfortunately, it's not as easy as saying they are one or the other. We have to consider bioindividuality of the person eating them and the components that made up the egg (the diet and life of the chicken).
I hope you all enjoy this week's video! :)
Giiiirl canned food is the worse. its dangerous

Hi Jordan, I have acid reflux disease and can't really handle cocoa would Carob be a good substitute??
Definitely worth a try! :)
You have the smoothie recipe written out? I'd love to try
Yes I do!
1 cup non-dairy milk
1 cup water
1 serving vanilla protein powder of your choice
2 tbsp ground flax seed
1-2 tsp raw cacao powder
1/4 tsp sea salt
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
handful of greens frozen or fresh
ice (optional)
blend it up and enjoy!
What is a processed green? I've not heard that before. Thanks.
Hi Amy! I'm not sure! 🤔 Did I say that somewhere? 🤣
@@jordanwaddell I think so. Around 11:16- "white flour, sugar, and processed greens" - maybe you said something else and I misunderstood?

I think it's different for everyone Joceline! :) I eat pasture-raised eggs almost daily and don't have any negative reactions.
What kind bread
Do you just eat sardines right out of the can? What do you do with them?

Hello! Where can I find that bread. I'm in Canada we don't have trader Jo. I'm looking for a low carb bread. Please help😀
Hi Vicki! Here's a link: amzn.to/30sxWeW
Hi! Is the bread Gluten Free?
I just googled it & it is Gluten Free, awesome 👏
how do you wash those straws?
I have this straw washer that looks like a pipe cleaner! You just get it soapy and can stick it down the straw to clean the inside.
@@jordanwaddell oh thx for answering!
I thought corn is inflammatory?
It raises blood sugar
So your smoothie is unsweetened? Those ingredients wo any fruit or stevia sounds gross tbh.
Haha - there is monk fruit extract and vanilla in the protein powder - it tastes incredible!
@@jordanwaddell Ah. I tried to look up ingredients online, but I must not have been looking at the same powder. Do you have a link?
@@maremacd Yes! Here's the amazon link: amzn.to/382I6H9 If you scroll through the photos you can see the ingredients :)
