i own this guitar (the Rhodes) the very model and i %100 percent agree with you infact he had great tecnique and speed and his presentation was almost flawless
That's how I sit with all my guitars (even my Explorer). Between the legs is the "classical" style, as opposed to the "alternative" style on your thigh.
Paul has really gotten good! That is some of the best riffing I have heard from him yet, and I have been watching for four years! His soloing is just amazing to hear and watch.
the thing i don't like about a lot of rhoads guitars is that its rare to find a rhoads with 24 frets. jackson likes to make em with 22 i dont know why.
My JS30RR has 24 frets and with the shark fin inlays. The only horrible thing is that some of the Jacksons for WHATEVER REASON decided to put the input jack on right-handed guitars right where people need the guitar to rest on their thigh while sitting down.
isnowyazn 1) If your Rhoads has the sharkfin inlays, it would be the JS32 model. 2) The jack placement can be easily dealt with if you buy the cable with the 90°angular connector. I have the JS30 King V and I use the angular connector cable - I can comfortably play the guitar while sitting.
Ivan Kovač I forgot to mention that it's the JS30RR FR. And I definitely looked into getting a right angle cable as soon as I saw the guitar, but it still doesn't feel like a totally normal V guitar. Same goes for every other guitar. It doesn't seem right with the cable all sticking out, in my opinion at least. :P
I don't own the RRXT but I DO own the KVXMG and would highly recommend it, however, I suggest that you go to your local Jackson dealer and test the guitars out, to see which you prefer.
i personally just bought the king v and i'm enjoying it better than the rhoads one i had because i find the king v has the ability to hold the sustaining power notes when i play but i liked the rhoads one for the main reason that it worked for small hands like mine so i was able to play fast with it and not feel restricted with it at all
@ShadowGhost777 He did have a signature Jackson Randy Rhoads. But it has been discontinued since Matt Tuck, lead singer for BFMV, has signed on with B.C. Rich guitars & has a signature King V coming out this year.
cuanto seria el costo de la rhoads? podria usted consegur el siguiente modelo:USA KE2 Kelly™ Model : 2803030877, y que costo tendria?podria usted darme informacion sobre usted?
I own a KVXMG. The finish is by no means perfect, and it has a Floyd rose special which doesn't stay in tune that well, but if you want a guitar that plays very, very well and puts a smile on your face, you probably won't be disappointed.
i wrote ex-signature guitar witch was a jackson rr 24rhoads with yellow stripe gold hardware and jackson pickup. After his jackson signature was stolen he turned to esp's which are badass too especially the black ones with the gold hardware(katakana, arrowhead i think)
I'm glad I got my Rhoads V before Fender owned Jackson. the only thing I like better about these is that they are neck through. Mine isn't. Also, those Duncan "designed" pickups didn't cut it for me so I put an Alexi Laiho signature EMG in the bridge. The only issue was attaching the bridge pickup to the neck one and then to the EQ box inside the guitar since the EMG wasn't designed to be connected to another pickup
Can you hang Jackson guitars on standard wall stands? The headstock looks like it would go diagonal. I just put a deposit on a King V and really need to know, thanks.
another black guitar with black tremolo black tremolo and emg. What's new? Can't you design something else like Alexi's ex signature guitar with neck pickup too?
in the air? Look at the video here. At the very begining as the guy sits the guitar is almost horizontal. Not the way when he is playing it, then he raises the neck but it's not necessary. You can control it by closing and opening your legs.
1. How can you tell where your going to get your Jackson V from? 2. How would you compare these Jackson V's to let's say an LTD V or a Gibson Flying Standard V? I've noticed a lot of used non-Gibson V that have at least one of the fins broke off, are cases that hard to find?
@lookimhxc That's what I thought you were getting at, either that or some variation of "Duncans OWN DiMarzios," at either rate that's not true. Both DiMarzios and Seymour Duncan are two separate companies ran by two different people, Larry DiMarzio and Seymour Duncan respectively.
I have one in trans black. I think you'll be better off not needing to scallop the frets. i haven't had a alot of fret buzz on it. As for pickups, I just threw in some SD Blackouts and it's all I needed.
I’ve given up most of my Kramer guitars and a few fenders to pick up a few Jackson’s. I’ll say they are much smoother for me. I still love my Kramer and fender guitars but playing my Rhoads Edition V, for some reason I love the feel. Fender and Kramer are amazing but I like the chunky necks for Jackson
Congrats on all your amazing videos. They are just incredible. It takes so much talent to take random guitar world videos and post them on youtube. Buckteeth.
got my King V X series 5 years ago, back when it had a bolt on neck, duncan designed pickups and the input jack on the lower wing. now i wish i would have waited and got this instead.
@Yenasty5 They have EMG's in the King V and Duncan Designed pickups in the Rhoads. Of course they are gonna be muddy. Not to mention the amp he's using probably isn't all that great.
@TheMetalHeaD256 I've blocked it off as I don't use it, I just think that King Vs without them looks strange and I wanted a King V. It's no issue for me, I love the guitar and so do all my friends who have played it.
i bought an Rx10d back in the day (the old x series version of the randy rhodes v) and if the RRXT is anyhting like that then i would say go for it. ive gone from playing thrash metal in E, to your groovy drop D/C. and now i have it in Bb standard and it is a great guitar. completely worth every dollar i spent on it. and this one looks better then the one i ahve so 100% go for it
@samuelchap next time you change your strings, try putting some WD-40 or some kind of lubricant on the knife-edges. even sharp edges could use it. especially on cheap trems. i've got a made-in-Germany Schaller Floyd that needs it and its edges are sharp as sushi knives. just get a q-tip and dab it with chap-stick (yes, Chapstick... it works i tell you) and dab the contact points with it.
dont know why they have to fuck with the speed when this guy starts playing, i mean if he cant play it get someone else instead of speeding the shit up
Guys I'm so buying a jackson king v, and I'm torn between 4 models: JS32T; JS32; KVXMG; KV2. Can you help me and tell the difference between each of the four models.
Mike Best I was ever owner and played KVX10 its' basswood body with pickup jackson but I modified it with Dimarzio tonezone DP155 F sound pretty good more than EMG ZW and KV5FR it's very well too it's alder body with seymour duncan JB both sound look nice warm & clear tone. and most expensive king V of jackson KV2 it's american alder body with bound fretboard it's pure Hi-end guitar quality logo jackson on headstock building with mother of pearl (so beautiful) and I modified it with EMG ZW sound fucking aggression!! super clear tone and high gain I hope my comment will help you I played old school thrash metal styles.
I got this for my husband today for his bday coming up on the 20th hope he takes much joy from it.
Did he like it?

The KVXMG is such a badass axe. One of my favorites. Recorded so much stuff with it, along with my old B.C Rich Jr. Vs.
perhaps tune it next time?
LoL I noticed that too it hurt 🤣

There’s no other way to sit with this guitar...unless u want it sliding around the place 😂
Which explorer do u have
Paul has really gotten good! That is some of the best riffing I have heard from him yet, and I have been watching for four years! His soloing is just amazing to hear and watch.
man just like Dave Mustaines guitar
Nah he didn't use EMG active pickups. Nor a Floyd Rose and a locking nut. The only think similar about the guitar is the model and color.
@@brandonchurch2094 Yes his iconic kv1 had a Kahler bridge. BUT he used floyd rose jacksons. So yes its not a kv1 but they are so similar.
he uses seymour duncan for the pick ups....

I hate single volume controls. I like being able to set one volume to 0 and use the selector as a killswitch
Me too :)
Hmmm, great idea! /w\ That would be nice to adjust them separate anyway also!
Damn near the smartest thing I've ever heard come out of the comment section on a video made by a virgin whose bad reviewing guitars
THANK YOU!!!!
Damn. I live and die by my Epiphone SG...but these Jacksons are badass.
Joe Binns SG Junior. It's "t.v. yellow".
I bought a KVXMG last December, to be honest, I'd pick a Epiphone SG any day over that. Then again it's just my opinion.
Quel if i may ask why? i know its preferences but how did it sound to you? this guy is probably playing on a $2000 amp
i had an epiphone sg and honestly after i got a better guitar i will never go back
Bankrupt, change your company..
I have a Schecter syn gates model and I love it...but i would really love to have that Rhoads model...

Actually, this is one of the better series in a while. Most models can be available with a non trem and EMG's...at a GREAT price! Way to go, Jackson!
I can't understand why people on youtube DISLIKE and HATE PAUL and GUITARWORLD channel?! He's awsome!
Bullshit, with the right attitude, my Rhoads can sound jazzy.
Agree
I think that video description is quite wrong, cause this is not Kerry King V but only KING V!
Right on! I have a 2003 KVx10 and still nothing wrong with it and not even a mark on it! Best guitars EVER!
Wes Borland has a guitar like this now :D
I don't own the RRXT but I DO own the KVXMG and would highly recommend it, however, I suggest that you go to your local Jackson dealer and test the guitars out, to see which you prefer.
Am i the only one that prefer the Rhoads and not the King V?
No.
Both fantastic guitars :-)

Josh Smith I believe so, I've been in several guitar stores and seen them hanging on normal wall stands.
Cosmic_Infidel I have aswell, can you see in this video how it looks like it wouldn't work!
Josh Smith Yeah I can see, I thought it wouldn't work as well but oddly enough it does.
Cosmic_Infidel I see the same thing in shops, I'm just going to trust you on it :)
Josh XM_Smith Cool! And I see that you got a King V in your profile pic. Nice! How do you like it?
Is it me or did the tone of the metal mike video transfer into this video?
Wait so do the Rhoads and King sound different or is it just the looks that are different?
Does the Flying V have a trust rod in the fret board
The jackson website says there are 24 frets on the rhoads
there is a version with 24
aman chandra But I saw 1. It have got 23 frets not 24.

does the rrx24 use made sound way better than the USA made one ?

@Yenasty5 it is because of both pickups and wood
@havokslayz I believe it was to summarize the first section of the video.
