I used to cover high school ski jumping in New Hampshire circa 2005. One of the local kids was the state champion. He'd quietly sing the start of this song just before heading down the slope.
One of my favorite bands and my favorite song! Got to see them live once about 20 years ago. They're still touring & still sounding as good as ever. Tommy Shaw was the lead singer on this one.

Tommy Shaw is the lead singer here and also their lead guitar. He's fun to watch in concert - really throws himself into it. Styx has a ton of great songs - please keep checking them out!

Major flashback. I had this this song along with the rest on the album. Only it was on an 8-Track tape cartridge that got worn out from over use in the tape player in my first car.

I enjoy groups with multi layers including diff singers, whether Tommy Shaw as you heard, or Dennis or JY. Or guitar both JY and Tommy will lead or play rythm.
Heavy in keyboards as well, synth etc, these guys were pretty big in the day.
And are still writing and touring today.
