Great story. The word 'gorgeous', is used often to describe cards. But I think it fits perfectly for the Don Zimmer 1956 Topps card. Love that image. The clouds/sky looks amazing.
These guys look like they were always having a great time! It extended into the cards which I love that Bowman and Topps decided to use those images for their cards. Great way to connect the cards to their relationship. Another enjoyable cup of coffee, Alex.
Hi Alex, Congrats on the Zimmer addition. It pairs nicely with Pee Wee not only aesthetically but as we learned today also because of their friendship. I love how the announcer subtlety worked shaving into the interview and Pee Wee brings up Gillette razors. So smooth. Haha. That was a common style of adversing in those days.
Love this video Alex! The added depth to a friendship that blossomed when competitiveness or jealousy may have normally taken root is such a great testament to the person Reese was. Thanks for sharing my friend.

Agreed! Thanks for watching
Zimmer had a heck of long life in baseball and it’s heartwarming to know that the great Pee Wee Reese had such a positive impact on Zim.
Yes a fun tidbit to uncover. Thanks Dan
the story of Don Zimmer ends with him charging Pedro Martinez who casually dispatches his geriatric toddler body. His final confrontation, a defeat.

Two cards that belong together. I love the way your collecting mind works, Alex!
Thank you sir
You pack more goodness into 4:06 than anyone else on YT. Great work, Alex. I learned a lot!
You are too generous my dude. Thanks.

Yeah it was a bit of a stretch and kind of bizarre but thats what makes the old commercials so amusing! Thanks Terry
Nice presentation, Alex. Your videos are always artistic and informative. So well done. Thanks for sharing with us some wonderful baseball history.
Hey I appreciate it Rob!

You are right! Nice to casually come across decent human behavior time and again in these old baseball stories.
Great addition Alex! Well put together video as always. Enjoyed. Looking forward to seeing what other 56s you picked up.
Thank you!
Zimmer and Reese! Holy Leapin’ Lizards, Batman!
For sure!
Great video Alex! That Gillette commercial was awesome!
Thanks Jason
Another good video. Love these stories.
Thanks!
Another great one. I take my grooming pointers from old Zim.
Don't we all!
Great video Alex! Looked like Zimmer was holding Jackie's bat for that one picture.
You are correct! Noticed that while I was making it.
Fantastic video Alex.
Thanks much!
Cool connection through cardboard for these two characters!
Thanks Jake
Awesome video Alex. Great cards
Thanks!
26th video like - Enjoyed the video. Don't see Don Zimmer cards much on RUclips. Thanks for sharing, Alex
Thanks for that!
Nice video. I hope Pedro gets a chance to see it. I think the 23-year-old Zimmer would have taken him easily.
More than likely! Thanks for watching
I’m inspired to shave now for some reason. Well done Alex.
I can't imagine why haha
Very nice video
