    So the two 'body' fabrics are sewn side by side with a french seam? Does that mean the total width of that fabric would be the 'Yuki' + Seam Allowance?

    Good video. Do you sew silk? Are you located close to Texas?
    Thanks for sharing your knowledge and skills! The finished garment looks great! The dance looked good, too.
    God Bless!

      Yes, I have made those in the past and am considering making a tutorial on those as well as remaking this tutorial for a clearer explanation (eg. computer slides for the diagrams as opposed to turning pages)

    it's pretty difficult to tell exactly what you are doing. it would help if visually you showed where on the final product you are sewing or held up the piece. Every time you show yourself sewing or ironing, it looks exactly the same and is difficult to follow along with or tell exactly what you are doing. the drawings are helpful for cutting, and understanding what you are doing to each individual piece, but not where it applies as a whole.

    How to measure uchiage ?

    • @jaysworkshop2497
      @jaysworkshop2497  Год назад

      The amount of fabric taken in with the uchiage is the needed length minus the actual length. If you cut your fabric exactly the length that you need, then you won't need to tuck any fabric into the uchiage.
