I just started with this art form and I am hooked. Spruced up a jean jacket with patches and lace and made a very Japanese style long vest using patches and embroiderd circles then added some bead work. Now I am starting a quilt. It is sooooo relaxing.

I notice that the way Japanese hand sewing is done - is somewhat different from the "American style' in, say, quilting. I think this is in fact the 'boro style' stitch. I am watching this carefully, because altho' I'm a capable seamstress, this one's a new skill I would do well to learn. In order to expand my own work. Many thanks and cheers from New Orleans.

I am always totally mesmerized by your meticulous process, patience and incredible artistry and skill. I would love to learn how to make garments like this, as I want to keep material out of the landfill and at the same time create one of a kind pieces. I notice that you have very specific machines that you use. Do you think this type of garment can be made on a home sewing machine, if lighter fabric is used? Can you recommend a place where I can review the type of machine(s) you use? And lastly, do you know of someone in North America who is offering either in person or online classes featuring this type of craft? Thank you so much for providing "zen sewing" for me.

I watched, most of your videos, it’s simply, magnificent both the result and at the same time the way of doing we see how much, it is important that the mind is present in the work when we see you work you are a real example thank you very much
In addition, it is extremely meditative to hear only these needle scissors machine sounds. Thank you very much again
Out of curiosity, what do you use as Wire to make it thick enough and resistant? And the scissors you have are beautiful, a Japanese brand?
