Doesn’t japan now deny Unit 731 and the death has marches and genocides in wwii? I had a friend in college who was an exchange student and the entire time we watched a documentary on unit 731, Manchuria, and Nanking his mouth was on the floor and he told me they do not teach this in any of the schools or even talk about it in society

Boy do I envy him being able to trace over with paint and his lines are straight. I make art with cans and have to glue on a cover of cardboard and the metal cans rim need glue and I just can’t make the glue line straight. It looks wiggly. I wish I had such a steady hand.

Astonishing work and exquisite results throughout. However, I would love to have had a bit more detail about the processes and materials used, and their functions, but I do realise that this would make the video much longer! Perhaps individual videos on each process? I am in awe of the skill of these artists and would love to know more!
Edit - just realised there's more explanation with the subtitles. Must watch again....

What type of colouring is used? Is it a paint or a dye? Very time intensive, but the end result is a stunning piece of art! Similar to Indonesian Batik art but you use glue instead of wax. Again, stunning artwork! 😊

28:42 Is the silk panel on a tile? How is the silk painting presented? Is the light mauve (or desaturated lavender) 'frame' a heavy paper or a solid piece of possibly plastic? I believe that the silk painting has a square piece under it and the extra silk is pulled back behind the the square, but does the light mauve (or desaturated lavender) piece have an area where the silk piece fits into it - like a niche cut into the square? I hope I'm making sense with my questions....or at least you understand what I'm trying to ask.

Warp and weft yarns are woven together to express the picture. Simply put, it is the same principle as the design on a knit sweater. In the case of this weave, it is a more complex version.
