Outstanding little booklet of beautiful Gelli prints … love it and all the booklets you shared !! Fabulous way of using them and thank you very much for sharing 💖
I made one and I love it! I trimmed my prints to 8x5 so the journal is 4x5. I added a twine closure before I added the adhesive, tape and covers. My prints might not be all that great but I am sooooo proud of myself. Now I have a goal for my prints. Thank you so much for this awesome inspiration.
i know im randomly asking but does any of you know of a method to get back into an instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my password. I love any assistance you can offer me.
@Raylan Keegan I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and im in the hacking process now. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I honestly think this is the BEST Gelli Arts video so far...thank you! Now I can put all those hundreds of prints I have to use haha! Love love love your journals.x
This is such a sturdy little book! The finish is really smart and neat and is a great way to collect all your random pages together into a finished project. Love the gluing method! Thank you! ❤
I wish I could hit the like button over and over again! I've been looking for a simpler way to make books with my art, and I believe this fits the bill. Your art is fabulous! Thank you for showing this method, I can't wait to get at it.
Beautiful books. All full of outstanding pages, you are extremely talented to say the least. Thanks for sharing. P.S. I noticed this video was done on my 77th birthday!
Groetjes Christine
Thank you so much, those Gelli prints are really really stunning and gorgeous too..... I really really love ❤️ this, but because those prints are really really stunning, I really would t want to journal 📔 over them. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags
After watching you for a few months, finally started making prints with the gelli plate yesterday (yay me). To be expected, my first results were not as good as yours! :D And now I want to do a book... lol Thanks for all these videos, you are amazingly creative and versatile with your gelli plate!
Beautiful! Your videos are always amazing to watch. Now there is a light at the end of the tunnel...a project that uses all the gelli prints. Guess I’ll need to stock up on the 2-sided tape🙃
Thanks for sharing this great way to make an art journal. I am gonna get printing on the same size papers to create one of my own. Btw, your gelli prints are all fabulous.
Love love love your books! 💖💖💖💖💖 The prints are amazing and the completed pages awesome! Also your binding technique is quite easy and I love the magenta sports tape!!! Thank you for this great idea! I'll search for the printing videos that you mention in this one and then certainly I'll get started! 🤗🤗🤗
I'm so glad i found this to show me how to make a little book of my Gelli prints! I have so many prints on copy paper. I need to step up my game and use cardstock. Is 65lb ok? Or should i use 110lb? Thank you for all the inspiration. I can't wait to watch more of your videos.
Sports tape is what you use to secure your ankle or wrist when doing sports but is also used to wrap around f.i. hockey sticks... but I suppose duct tape would work too, just try :)
Here in the Netherlands we buy it in a drug store or pharmacy. It's for securing your wrist, knee, ankle etc. when you are hurt or when it is a weak spot and you want to do sports. There is also something similar available at sports stores to f.i. wrap around the handle of a hockey stick or tennis racket. Hope that helps :)
There are loads of videos here on the Gelli Arts channel and if you want to see my videos you can also go here: birgitkoopsen.typepad.com/my_weblog/my-videos-for-gelli-arts.html
Awesome video! I have been looking for a simple binding method. Is there any reason liquid glue such as PVA wouldn't work? My gelli prints are all on pretty heavy cardstock.
I like to use dry adhesive because it keep the pages nice and flat. Also a lot faster as the glue doesn't have to dry. But that is a preference. Of course you can try liquid glue.
My first thought was to use PVA instead of the media type glue used here. I don't see why not. But I understand the reasoning behind using dry adhesive for the rest of it.
You can use PVA. Clamp all sides so that the pages are nice and tight. On the side you decide to use as an edge, apply a very thin layer of PVA with a brush (moving the clamp as necessary and replacing it). Once that dries, apply another layer and let it dry and then apply the third and final layer. The end result looks like the glued end of a paper pad. ETA: the paper, however, should be cut in half and not folded (so make sure you have double sided prints, if that's what you want). Also, there's no need to adhere your pages together beforehand (sorry for all the edits, didn't start to watch when I first replied! Oops!).
@Amy Hodgson-Smith @iamdawt @TopazDragon I get it now :) You are talking about the spine, right? Not about glueing the pages together. I don't really know what PVA is, I just thought it was a liquid adhesive but it sounds interesting!
Henna du plessis Hi, Some people add their favorite quotes and/or images. They also make nice gift books. I tend to use my papers for mixed media projects or for truth cards.
No, not always. I also print on copy paper, book paper, tissue paper, magazine paper and so on. I love to use the lighter paper as collage material. But for the books this heavier cardstock to watercolour paper is perfect.
Ah! Birgit - 0ne of my favourite RUclips artists. Just love her work.

It is hard to express how much I LOVE these!! Question: What exactly is "sports tape"? Is it like duck tape??
Sports tape is what you use to secure your ankle or wrist when doing sports but is also used to wrap around f.i. hockey sticks... but I suppose duct tape would work too, just try :)
Fabulous! Would you please respond with a link to the sports tape you use? Thanks!
Great! Also, thank you very much for the titles of the videos we can watch to learn how to do the prints themselves! ♥
yep exactly, I've never seen "homemade glaze" nor a few other ones.
Love them thank you
great 🤩, ❣️ this! Thanks 😀!
Hello what a wonderful tutorial. Question, never heard of "sports tape" where can I find some. I live in Australia. Thank you. x

This is fabulously stunning ! All those techniques, i wanna try them all. What is the size of the book ? TFS. Evy
The book is the European size A6, the paper used is therefor A5, which would be about 5.8 x 8.2 inches, folded in half.
Awesome video! I have been looking for a simple binding method. Is there any reason liquid glue such as PVA wouldn't work? My gelli prints are all on pretty heavy cardstock.

I HAVE MILLIONS OF OF BEAUTIFUL PAPERS. NOW WHAT?
Henna du plessis Hi, Some people add their favorite quotes and/or images. They also make nice gift books. I tend to use my papers for mixed media projects or for truth cards.
Hi best you, i wonder are you always gelli print on CARDSTOCK?
No, not always. I also print on copy paper, book paper, tissue paper, magazine paper and so on. I love to use the lighter paper as collage material. But for the books this heavier cardstock to watercolour paper is perfect.
Fabulous!!!
Cool!
LOVE this
the best ever
Your books would sell well!
