: : just saw this video but wanted to say as a part time reseller (who still takes it seriously as a viable supplemental income) this is so refreshing! I tried out more full time hours with the naive assumption sales would be consistent each month but I had not been prepared to account for changing algorithms & summer slowdown. It was incredibly stressful because I had made reselling a primary source of income but since then I’ve switched it to “bonus income with part time hours” so that the months I do really well feel great but the months that aren’t as successful I can still have fun with it without the pressure of it being that “primary” income. Some people are great at doing full time but I had to decide it just wasn’t for me. I’ve seen even the most successful professional “six figure” resellers admit they are burned out, stressed out & stepping back. It was eye opening. Thanks for being so honest with us! Hope all is well. 🖤 : :
Thank you for sharing this on summer slow down. I'm a full-time worker, newer part-time reseller, and mom of one toddler and I can get pretty wrapped up in why my sales are so low and take it to heart too much. Sometimes it's so hard to take a step back and reevaluate where you're placing your energy, and you're right - enjoying life and your family is #1!❤
It is hard not to fall into comparison as well. I have to remind myself that all our situations are different and you never truly know what’s going on for someone else, so it’s best to just focus on myself and what I want for my family and our future! Thank you so much for watching! ❤️
@@PerDiemBabe I agree! Our culture has molded us to compare ourselves constantly, and being able to stop and breathe into our own lives and everything we are achieving ourselves is really where it's at!! I hope you continue to have a summer full of internal growth!
Love love loveee this. I've been struggling so much with feeling guilty for not having achieved very much work-wise this summer. Since getting our new puppy *she* has basically become my full-time job and my sales have been pretty non-existent. I need to be kinder to myself and be thankful that I'm able to take a hit in sales in order to do this. I'm so happy I can really enjoy my time with her as a baby (enjoy when she's not eating me alive, that is lmao) and my business will pick back up soon as I'm able to spend less time supervising her every waking moment. I'm so glad you're giving yourself permission to rest and enjoy your life! You deserve it and work so so so hard as it is. xo
Thank you for your realness! The past month or so has been challenging but like you said there are alot of different factors to why our sales arent always there! Best wishes💕
this totally resonates with me. with my business, i actively try to not set goals. i know that goes against everything everyone says, but the whole reason i don't work a traditional job is because i can't stand the pressure filled "work work work" culture and the mentality that more money = more happiness. that just leads to a never ending cycle of overworking and being upset if you make a little less than the previous month, day, year, whatever. i work hard because i have fun doing what i do and unfortunately need money to live in this world, but my own mental health is a priority. there are good days and bad days in any business and if i have to run myself into the ground to make it a good one i think i'll pass. as long as you keep yourself in a good energy, everything will work out. usually the weeks i'm the most relaxed and almost treating my business as an afterthought are the weeks i do the best.
Thank you for this! And thank you for watching! I totally agree with everything you say. The way i see it is, what’s the point of running my own business if I’m not able to enjoy life?
I’m using my summer slow down (May-June) to work on getting out older inventory to either but sell trade or thred up even. Re listing and just updating things I’ve decided
That's great! Earlier this week I spent a couple days doing a whole inventory audit making sure all of the items I had were listed, and taking older inventory off Posh to sell in my store instead. It's a great time to do all the back end stuff that we don't typically have time to do when we're super busy!
Do you score more at the goodwill if you go early? I noticed that I only score in the afternoon after everything has been put out on the floor. Also in the morning, I usually only find leftovers.
I think it depends on the store and when they put their inventory out. This wasn’t a strategic thing for me to go early it was just the only time I was able to go 😅

Thank you Jamie! And so do you! I love seeing all your puppy content.❤
Girl I am with you! If sales are slow, I am going to take advantage and take time for me.

@@PerDiemBabe Oh ok, cool. I hope you found great things to sell.
Where is your store located?! If you’re close I’d love to visit💕
It’s in The Dalles, Oregon
