  • I feel there will be a lot of misunderstanding with this review. I fell in love with the Rubicon 2 (Passive) speaker sound and felt them a good match with budget friendly integrated amps like Peachtree Nova150, Cyrus HD and Unison Research Unico. Take the same speaker, add 250w Class D DSP modules to the mix and double the price....err nearly triple the price because you want the Dali Sound Hub with BluOS module, not included for $1,400 more...YIKES!
    Tested against:
System One: Avalon Acoustics Radian, Jeff Rowland M112 and NAD C658 with associated Audience cables and ZU Mission speaker cables.
System Two: Harbeth M30, Balanced Audio Technology VK-55SE, Balanced Audio Technology VK-3ix, Ayre CX-7e, Audience cables.
Yes, the 2C are amazing performers for what they represent, however, for their reflected price tag, they are out matched by another famous active speaker manufacturer.

Glad to hear your honesty about these Dali’s. Looking forward to getting your thoughts on the Harbeth family. Natural is good. Cheers

The veneer on the walnut rubicons is real wood. I thought it was a wrap until i drunkenly leaned on mine an it fell of its 5 foot bracket. Its wood.

The kef p60 with k300 amp was made for bbc high output monitoring
It can deliver anechoic 113db....compact 2way....if you see for sale , jump on it, its imho the best offer on used market...but very rare like the km1 's

For those few who are too busy to research the new KEF LS60 and confirm what I said is based on their printed measurements, here you go: ca.kef.com/products/ls60-wireless
Down -6 db measures 26hz - 36Khz dependent on selected EQ setting. 😊
Also, have you heard a Rel subwoofer? They are (in my experience and opinion) musical subwoofers that integrate more smoothly for 2 channel applications, versus true big class D subs in HT applications. Rel's are class A/B subs. In no way did I say class D subs are bad, I merely point to a particular calculated sound signature. 😉
    *I use a Starke Audio sub for my HT...its class D* 🙃

I Love Dali speakers...have Rubicon 2 w/pair of Rel T7X subs...after enjoying the rubicon's...now changing to Dali special limited edition Rubicon 6 to pair with rels🤞I think if people have a great amp...one would not need the C version

Many folks are looking for simpler systems, less wires and cleaner room presentations. Active speaker offerings will continue to expand and eventually create more compelling products than the 2C. KEF is the master of this space right now, ATC is still way too damn expensive for most of us.

Hi Jason...I know a great Intigrated hybrid amp you might want to try with all your speakers... if this is available in the US- Vincent SV-737 hybrid
4ohm 2X300...it can run any speakers with authority! class A tube first 10 watts then A/B has an open airy tube sound...can be had in europe for €3200...it's German engineered... chow
    ✌️😁

My goodness.. Dali is expensive in the USA. The Rubicons 2C are in Europe around 2000 Euro's per piece. That is far from the price of the Kefs LS60 (around 6600 Euro's per pair in Europe). Do you know why there is such a price difference between Dali in Europe en Dali in the USA? The price of the KEFs seems to be around the same in Europe and the USA.

The Passive Dali 2 are now $3,000 US without the stands! Import prices are all over the board now.

I like the toilet/bathroom doors in Phil's room, it's just missing the male and female toilet/bathroom signs. They don't cost much....

Are you talking about recording levels? I edit them down to 80% so my viewers are not getting any distracting background noise. It was very windy the day I recorded this video.
