Its just the phosphoric acid bonding with cheimcals in the rust. Turning into a black sludge, iron oxide or something. doesnt mean that coke disolves your intestines

Just a quick tip for Sam, next time when bending sheet metal like that, just slip the box section you used as a base over it and then bend it with that using the bench vice, you will get a nicer bend than doing it by hand
