Lately I’ve been listening to their first four albums a lot lately, after obsessing over this album for the entire summer so far. And this past week I listened to Load for the first time in nearly a decade and I realized “Holy fuck their new album sounds just like old Metallica” and god I realized how much I dislike Load and Reload

Finally they played it live. Now i am excited for room of mirrors especially for the harmony part
RoM is to me a beast of a song and live would be so crazy good. That solo will be a good challenge for Kirk because its that damn good and the harmonizing is a super treat. Top 3 off the album. they are killing it like fine wine.
I wish they don't keep the same new songs for this whole tour leg, like in Europe. I'm really curious to listen how the other tracks sound live
@@vinifariaslima I think they'll keep those 2 new songs for the rest of the shows in North America to come until they play at the Power Trip festival (where they will do a special 1 night show considered to be outside of the 72 Seasons Tour, and I really hope it will be the night where they play the entire AJFA album, but that's another story). Then they'll rotate the 72 Seasons songs, adding 2 others to the set list and removing 2 others, and they'll end up this years tour with that... I'm not sure we will hear all of 72 Seasons songs live: ever since the Black Album was out, Death Magnetic (and it's B-side EP Beyond Magnetic) was the only album which had all it's songs played live...

@@dapig3656 Same, every next song I listen to becomes 'the best'. In truth, this is a great album and I appreciate all songs in it so much... I never appreciated Hardwired even close to the level of 72 Seasons, and I'm a hardcore thrash fan.

Love it when bands tweak their songs ever so slightly in the live shows. It makes the experience even more unique.
That main riff is absolutely BRUTAL and heavy AF!! 72 Seasons is Metallica's BEST record since ...And Justice For All. There is not a bad or weak song on the entire record! The band are sounding tight and James' voice has never been better. James is my hero! I love all the guys in Metallica (past and present) but James has a special place in my heart and I can relate to his well documented struggles.

Took my 8 year old daughter to this show, her first ever concert, she loved it! 10th time for me and they killed it as usual. I wish I could’ve seen night 2 as well

I had to miss both live streams for the 40th anniversary shows because of work which sucked, especially since they played The End of the Line live, a song I voted for, and that wasn't played in like 10-11 years at that point, which annoyed me, but hey, at least we got videos and they are still touring.

Nice. My top 5 Metallica albums are 1 Death Magnetic, 2 Master, 3 Justice, 4 Hardwired, 5 Black or 72S... kinda a tossup. The Black album has so many classics on it, but 72S is great too.

James and Kirk and Rob are some of the best rhythm players in rock music. They're always so in sync and solid, like a recording, but still have that live edge that makes it unique and more exciting. So evident here!

Great stuff and just how fit and lean does James look. You look back at the gigs on Hardwired tour and even S&M2 and whilst he still performed he looked bloated and the drink was kicking in. Critically they all also look like they are really into it and loving the new stuff. Plenty of mileage left in these guys!
Can't make it to Arlington show on the 18th but going to a movie theater to watch the live feed, Never been to a sit down Metallica show LOL should be interesting, Soooo glad this song is now in set list.
