I always felt the same like he was second to scott whos damn good but brians as good, loved both there playing with thin lizzy and brians playing with Motorhead on another perfect day.
@@harrype3283Scott Gorham said so too. At least when they started, he said he considered Robbo to be the better player. He did say he felt like he caught up eventually.
@@grindfreakmike5754 I saw an interview with Lemmy, where he said Robbo showed up for a gig in some lace shirt or thin floppy sleeve thing. He overheard two guys talking. One said "So that's the new guitar player. He looks like a fruit. Let's beat him up after the show" So Lemmy fired him, he said to save his life.
Per usual confusion and chaos from cameramen and producer when lead guitar starts. Where could that sound be coming from? what is that? is the singer doing it? The drummer? oh, it's that guy on the left. it's Brian Robertson.
Brain Roberston is very underated guitarist 🎸 and the last comment was right. Robbie doesn't get the credit or recognition he deserves on those Thin Lizzy albums he played on, and extremely good guitarist.
Great solo this one! Love the way it starts up with that fast bending + wha thing! Also love his solos on songs like Opium trail, Cowboy song, etc. Great rocking attitude!
Brian Robertson joined Motorhead for a short time and just happened to make the best Motorhead album. His guitar playing changed there sound to my opinion the best.
Brian showing his handiwork is still good... of course not this band... but what the hell is he supposed to do... Phil didn't hang around.... nothing quite like that line-up from Night Life through Bad Reputation :-)
he has a decent voice....just tour his version of lizzy songs ....i would love to see him and gorham playing with downey and darren wharton ....somthing must have gone bad with him and gorham ...i am not aware if they have ever played together since they split ? The current "lizzy" is a bit of a joke..but thats ok, Rather have that around than nothing ...you have robertson around ....get HIM IN !
I fucking hate this singer. Makes me think of that terrible fucking late 80's style melodic rock type singer.... like MR BIG. I fucking hated that bullshit... Fucking hair metal
That's not a Gary Moore Lizzy song. The music to that version...which is on the Johnny The Fox album, was written by Brian Robertson. Phil had written the original slower version for the album but Robertson didn't care for it and rewrote and arranged it. He never got credit for it, and I think that was a sore spot for Brian.
I am not a fan of robbo's choice of singer. He has a voice that makes me think of a bar band . It's that hair metal or late 80's melodic rock sounding voice (a la MR BIG) that I can't stand.
Horrendous , a real disgrace too ( Philip Lynott) I always thought Brian was kind of fruity, I mean little shorts (His whole image just seemed to go against everybody in the band .Another perfect day, was there least selling album. Lemmy now plays songs on that album live, sounds petty good but I didn't like his style , he's a great guitar player but his image don't fit the heavy sound of the 70's and 80's.
Great band.. Robbo... Youre my favorite guitarist, man. Thank you.
The king of wah. Love it Robbo
Robbo does not get the credit he deserves, just look how many Lizzy songs he played on - unbelievable guitarist.
He was the best LIZZY guitarplayer
I always felt the same like he was second to scott whos damn good but brians as good, loved both there playing with thin lizzy and brians playing with Motorhead on another perfect day.
@@grindfreakmike5754 Robbo was better than Scott, he got over shadowed by Gary Moore who didn't play on that many Lizzy albums.

Good one, Centurion.
Yep. And by the time the cloth eared myopic cameraman has figured it out and turns his lens to the guitarist, it's all over. Doh!!
great player, singer did well Phil is one in a million, most under rated band in History.
Brought his own sound to Lizzy, that was the job and he did it terrifically well.
Brain Roberston is very underated guitarist 🎸 and the last comment was right. Robbie doesn't get the credit or recognition he deserves on those Thin Lizzy albums he played on, and extremely good guitarist.
Agree
Great performance!
Great solo this one! Love the way it starts up with that fast bending + wha thing! Also love his solos on songs like Opium trail, Cowboy song, etc. Great rocking attitude!
Top man true music not the crap we here today god bless Gary Moore
just came across this by chance and loved it.x
Great Brian Robertson!
1960 reissue les paul classic, played like it should.
Good to see robbo playing again.
He always played !!!!
It’s so awesome to see he is back playing , I thought his hand injury had put an end to his career for good , he looks and sounds great 🤘🤘🤘
THE camara man or woman needs a FEW tips? NICE to see Robbo still playing so well though.
Brian Robertson joined Motorhead for a short time and just happened to make the best Motorhead album. His guitar playing changed there sound to my opinion the best.
Shine, brilliant song!!!

Great music, fellas.
Thin Lizzy/Winterland/San Francisco, Ca. Oct. 1, 1977
I love Robbo😍🎸
My favourite guitarists for Thin Lizzy were Brian and Scott. That doesn't mean I don't rate the others. Their best stuff wasn't with Thin Lizzy.
Extra 🎤🎸🎶🎼🔊 ❤
Always thought brian didnt get the respect as one of the best guitarists, as i consider him.
very good
Singer has compelling voice.
MISTER MAGIC TOUCH !!!
Les Pauls Classic reissue 1960
cameraman f*cked up the solo
Sorry that didn't sound right I ment all the great players
最高❤❤❤
Wild Horses
Terrible singer, totally unsuitable for the song.
I fucking hate this singer. Makes me think of that terrible fucking late 80's style melodic rock type singer.... like MR BIG. I fucking hated that bullshit... Fucking hair metal
He's horrible.
JAHBLESS
Drums a bit lite
Brian Downey
Brian looks like gary moore
Les Paul fest...
Thin lizzy was best with Brian/Jhon
The only good part of that was Robbo! vocals ruined a classic Lizzy song!
a great song but not this band
..that's 4 guys, with axes around their necks, and a lead vocalist!
Lack of soul in this.
Who dresses Brian Robertson? His teenage daughter?
Nice one Brian but how come a Gary moore lizzy song?

Mark Peters prity sure Moore had a hand in the original slow version
That original arrangement was Phil. Gary never mentioned ever having any part of that song other than playing it.
Gary had a slow rendition of this tune a ballad.Phil wrote the lyrics
Why 3 guitarists? Not needed
I am not a fan of robbo's choice of singer. He has a voice that makes me think of a bar band . It's that hair metal or late 80's melodic rock sounding voice (a la MR BIG) that I can't stand.
This is beyond pathetic .... the singer is the worst ive heard....
Terrible (especially singing !)
These guys are LOST
This sounded very held back. Gary Moore by himself does theis song 10 times better.
Funny how Robbo always dresses like a teenager. I guess that’s what you do when you are seventy something.
Brian David Robertson (born 12 February 1956)Net worth: £12 Million ! he's 4 years younger than me & I'm 69
Horrendous , a real disgrace too ( Philip Lynott) I always thought Brian was kind of fruity, I mean little shorts (His whole image just seemed to go against everybody in the band .Another perfect day, was there least selling album. He once did a invite to join Motorhead ,turned up in flip-flops, told he didn't fit the part !
There isnt a heavy sound of the 80' s and another perfect day was still far better then all they made after that album.
Out of time, out of place...and Robbo's technique is sloppy. Not good....
Marcus David it’s pop music, not Larry Carlton..
it's rock music, and even in pop music have to respect timing etc.
drunk and hater!
Horrendous. Brian ruined it for that band.
are you drunk?
