No he’s very far from that title. There are some ridiculously technical and talented players out today. However back in the day as a teenager playing and recording with Lizzy he was such a great player.
bought tickets for the unual Kings' call - tribute to Philo. But after hearing The Little Darlings massacre of Thin Lizzy songs i feel reluctant...... Some years ago I Heard a guitarist in Vasteras playing Thin Lizzy. Think his name was Daniel something. He could play Lizzy for sure! A reincarnation of Robbo at his best! But Little Darlings.. If you are "house band" tomorrow at Kraken, i don't know if I'll stick around for too long... This sound horrible! The singer........ please no..

Som när Tommy Aldridge ska lira Downeys grejer. -Och det är för mycket begärt av mig att tänka att någon annan än Lynott skulle låta som Lynott.
Can't believe some people mention Robertson in the same breath as Moore, Beck, Van Halen etc. Wtf are they watching/hearing???? I think this is all about "fans" opinions versus guitar players opinions.
Sad to say I agree. He was a guitar god to me in the mid/late 70's but has done nothing of note since 1977. Great melody, structure and tone but wasted his talent.
Totally agree. This guy should have continued to have a stellar career and be talked about as one of the best guitarists in the world. Unfortunately he's been drunk for 45 years. Talent totally wasted.
