- Step-By-Step Instruction On How To Code & Activate an Aftermarket Reversing Camera Into a Ford Sync 3 System With Forscan!
Whilst we had a Ford Nugget (Transit Custom) Camper Van in for a Factory Style Reversing Camera we filmed a Quick How To for those that want to learn how to do the coding aspect using Forscan so they can do it themselves.
As every Ford Vehicle with Sync 3 is different we've not filmed the physical installation of the camera but rather just the coding aspect.
The diagnostic tool we used for this install was the OBDLink EX Forscan which can be purchased from Amazon - amzn.to/3bjUTWr

Hi, and what about the car icon that appears on top right corner? is that additional configuration on forscan to display it? i have aftermarket sensors on my ecosport and i have just installed an aftermarket camera and activated it with forscan with success , but the car icon is not there!! :(

I did a Cyanlabs Sync 2.0 to 3.4 and I have lost the Asisted Parking Feature on my Ford Galaxy. The system works but it just doesn't show any options on the screen anymore so I was wondering if this is able to get it back? Navigation Guidance Voices are gone as well.
Do the transits already have the camera wiring installed back to the rear and you just need to source a Transit rear camera to attach?
I have 2011 explorer i turn key on and back off to listen to radio I play until shut off I did that 3 times and camera reprogram

I have focus mk4 and programming like this didnt work. I have sync 3,4 update and cannot figure out what is wrong. Camera is ok, we tested it only the coding is the problem...

I bought a 2020 Focus with a retrofitted camera (I think) because it doesn't have settings for it in the menu. Is it also has fixed guidelines on display. Is it possible to make them turn with the steering wheel in forscan?

You do not have the guide lines or the active lines. Bet that zoom does not work either.

Hi , I would bring my van to you (but you are to far away) I’m looking to do the camera upgrade on a 2020 transit. I contacted a retailer for the 3rd brake light camera and loom adapter. The said you can get different looms on the newer vehicles. Is this something you have had experience of ?

Hello, I have focus hatchback active 2023.. while i was expecting it with sync 3.0 version on it but somehow it is delivered with sync 2.5 and the dealer seems have no idea about the failure and support team say it is not possible to update it to any other newer versions…any suggestions?
Does it work with Ford Fiesta 2018+ with Ford Sync3 too?
We've not tried it as only done it on the Sync 3 on a Transit so far. However if the Fiesta has the Sync 3 it should be the same process. Have a bash and let us know :)

You need a special look that connects to the SYNC that then gives you the yellow phono.
Then you can use any aftermarket camera you want.
