  • This video shows you how you can easily remove a powerstrap when you are making an upgrade.
Depending on your boot model, this will either be done very easily with the screw connection hardware or you will need to drill out the fixed rivets.
This tutorial video shows you the procedure to do this in a controlled manner and get a great result.
Patriot Footbeds now has two new styles of ski boot Powerstrap upgrades.

Darn one day late! I just added my booster straps last night to my very same Krypton pro Ti. I was worried about drilling and melting the hole so I took a driver and just tapped off the rim of the rivet from the inside like you showed. The 'Dalbello' rivets are not that hard so I was able to bend them and just push the rivet out. (It was a PITA) Using the larger drill bit is definitely the way to go. Now I see that all you want to do is drill down the lip of the rivet which is pretty easy to do. My Full Tilts/k2 had simple screws to loosen then change the strap. Always appreciate the content and love my footbeds. Thanks.

Ahh, just the video I've been looking for... just a bit too late. Handed the boots into a shop to let them fix it. But I would suggest that you add some more strap names to the bio or search words because this video does not show when searching for booster strap.

Super helpful! What kind of screws do you use in the inside to remount the new power strap?

They are not as easy to source, but they are a screw and tnut.
If you buy a Patriot Strap, these come with them! :)
Otherwise you might need to ask a ski shop if they have components out the back. Or a specialty fastener store.

Hey sir I bought a crankstrap. It only came with two screws. If my boot has two screws per boot is it ok with just one screw going forward or should I swing by a hardware store and by two more to fit the two old holes?

1 screw for each strap will be just fine for mounting! I recommmend mounting the strap to the hole on the inner (medial) side

These sold out way faster than expected! Sorry that more didn't land. Current timeline is 2-3 weeks for the next delivery. Which feels like an eternity for me!!
