Both artists have sung duets with other Australian and International artists. During this concert all three artists perform as a trio.
Yep you're correct, this is a cover, and was originally released by Sam & Dave in the late 60s. Farnsey and Barnsey also sung "When The War Is Over" "In The Midnight Hour" "When A Man Loves A Woman" - those are the ones I can think of anyway. These 3 guys all immigrated to Australia as young kids. All grew up here, and have done many wonderful things in our country to help, especially when our people are in desperate need ( after fires, floods, droughts - they hold concerts raise money and donate that directly where needed - They've sent food and water to farmers to save the livestock after severe drought - They've done so much for the research into saving our Tassie Devils, and to save / care for the uncountable burnt native animals, such as koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, quolls, wombats, bandicoots etc after our massive bushfires, they've visited our kids cancer wards and performed on Telethon to raise money for our disabled kids) These guys are the very best of us Australians, and we're all very grateful that they love our country so much, that they all stayed exactly where they belong, here with us, where they're truly loved, respected and appreciated. I'm 58, from a family that have loved Farnsey for 5 generations, and I'm far from alone with that. Many of us, like myself, have John entwined into my earliest memories. In my age group, we got to know John from our grandmother's, who would waltz around the kitchen's of Australia, to John singing "Sadie the cleaning lady" or "Raindrops are falling on my head" or "Everything is out of Season". John is a massive part of our families, our childhoods, our youth, our political views, our entire lives really. He has ALWAYS been there for us, always, and has never let us down. In my primary school years and along came Barnsey and Diesel - I'm lucky enough that Diesel grew up in my city, Perth. So Friday night's we were all up the pub watching Diesel live. Jimmy was our Aussie wild child, and we absolutely went nuts for this bad boy who was absolutely drop dead gorgeous, had a rebels attitude and lit that stage on fire. Our nation watched Barney's kids form their first band "The Tin Lids" as tiny little kids, into the wonderfully talented adult musicians they all are today. Put these 3 together, and it's magical. I hope you can understand what I'm trying to tell you about these 3 awesome Aussie blokes, and why they're our favorite legend's.
