This is such a great song, another of many of John’s song that have a positive message to convey, and in the way only John could do. John has many of these positive songs about peace and love for one another. Just love it, so good. And about live performances, with John always do live performances where available, he’s so great live, even better than studio and throws so much into it, always gives it everything he’s got and is totally enjoying himself while doing it.

Good morning Sue. So happy to see how much you’re enjoying our John. Yes, he’s a naturally funny, talented, compassionate and beautiful person. He’s our national treasure. Have a great day, Sue. ❤️🇦🇺
The Farnham Band is probably equally talented as Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band . They have played for other artists like Kylie Minogue and Olivia Newton John on their tours
I loved that “Martin Luther King Jnr” moment. I hate to admit as an Aussie that I have never heard this song before. I have been to one of his live concerts, he is brilliant and so funny and down to earth. Great lyrics in this wonderful song. ❤❤❤
Great reaction Sue. John's band is first rate, his backup singers are first rate, and he is never reluctant to let them shine individually during his concerts. He always credits them by name and this is why we know most of the people on stage with John by name, and his concerts become something of a family affair. Is it any wonder that he is so loved in Australia !!!
Hi Joan, I understand why he is so loved. John deserves all the love. He is great and as you mentioned so very generous with the people he works with....a sign of a wonderful person 🤗
@@playitagainsue Hi Sue, I recently watched the wonderful Venetta Fields being interviewed on two separate occasions about her long career as one of John’s backup singers. I already knew that she’d been one of the Ikettes for Ike and Tina Turner a long time ago but I didn’t know about her time working with Pink Floyd and other well-known singers and bands. She’s a lovely lady and if you’re interested to watch them just type her name into RUclips. Your personality comes through as someone who would fit in very well with Australians if you ever decide to come over here for a holiday. 🤗 Some good news too about John’s recovery from his cancer operation. There are photos of John and Jill at their son Robert’s recent wedding. The plastic surgeons did an amazing job and Robert had already told the media that John had been singing at home during his recovery. We couldn’t ask for a better outcome! All the best from Sydney.
@r.fairlie7186 Hi Rfairlie, thank you so much for the lovely compliment. I love the Australuans and am honoured that you say, I would fit in. I will definitely let you know if I go on holiday in Australia. This is wonderful news about John. I am so happy to hear he is doing well 🤩❤️ p.s. what is your first name?
Hi again Sue. My first name is Robyn. I live by the Pay It Forward concept so it was easy to pass on an authentic opinion. Something else I recommend is the mini documentary “John Farnham: Finding The Voice”. David Hirschfelder (John’s pianist) mentions that “You’re The Voice” became the catalyst for the destruction of the Berlin Wall and the unification of West and East Germany in 1989. You felt the emotion of the anthem it became so I was glad that David pointed out that timeline to everyone. Keep up the good work! 😊
Thank you Sue for your terrific reaction and appreciation of our phenomenal Aussie Treasure, John Farnham! He is the GOAT! Please listen to many more of his awesome repertoire from the past 6 decades, like Freedom, Angels, Touch of Paradise, Dare to Dream, just to name a few... xoxo💖🎵🎶
Venetta Field, that did the 'vocal solo': it's worth having a look at her pedigree. She backed Tina Turner for years as an Ikette, she's sung backing vocals with the Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd, to name but a few. She's an amazing person, with wonderful talent.
This is a beautiful song by a beautiful man. The lyrics, taken and crafted from other songs with a message, in turn bring a greater message - "In days to come we'll see the Sun as more than just a star. In days to come we''ll be as one ..." In esoteric spirituality the Sun is our 'local God'. The Sun is Light, Love and Power. There is the outer physical Sun, the middle heart of the Sun and the core of will-power of the Sun. When we realise and follow the Sun's example there will be peace on earth and all people will 'be as one' living in Light, Love and Goodwill to all.
Thanks again Sue for your wonderful reactions. I dont think you'll run out of songs of John's to react to any time soon. He's got so many, which makes us fans very, very happy. 😁
