We all tuned in to Hey Hey it's Saturday. Lots of comedy and always showcasing Aussie talent. John was a frequent guest on the show

Wouldn’t miss Hey Hey back in the day. It started being on Saturday mornings and then moved to Saturday night. John was a regular on it. When You’re the Voice was released by John I heard it for the first time on Hey Hey. I can still remember how wonderful the song and he was.

Yes, I remember the "Hey Hey" clip...If I remember correctly, his manager Glen Wheatley was playing bass. Glen originally was the bassist from the band "The Masters Apprentices", occasionally, he popped up in Farnham clips playing, the other one I remember was the ARIA awards doing "You're the Voice". Love the references....Martin Luther King (I Had a Dream Speech), John Lennon (Imagine), Bob Dillion (Blowing in the Wind & The Times They Are a Changing) and the Moon Mission, I remember them well....Just love the desire behind the song...."One day, we'll be as one"... I, too, wish this could be achieved. 💞

@TeacherPaulReacts No, I haven't seen that one. Can you share the link with me please. I'm getting lots of suggestions from all over now so I'll be sending them through for quite a while yet 🙂 Thanks Paul.

Oh wow! Please don't feel pressured to send someone else's request, only send the ones you'd like. They can send their own coffees too, 😂, no piggyback rides! 😄 Thank you for the support 🙏

@TeacherPaulReacts Thank you. I'll look at them over the next couple of days when I send in my next set. I don't mind buying you a few coffees a week 😊 and when it comes to John, everyone who loves him will love what you react to. By the way are you adding the documentary to the wish list still? I also have a couple of longer ones that I might ask you to add - one is a compilation of interviews, and the other is called An Audience with John Farnham. The first one is over 2 hours. The Audience one is about 1 hour. Cheers Paul. Hi to Fellipe too 👋💖 PS Let me know if you want the links to these so you can see what might work best. 😊

@TeacherPaulReacts I now remember the Days to Come one but Fellipe wasn't there and his backup singer, Charles does the Martin Luther King part in the concert and that always gives me goosebumps. 🤗

I love that you've seen John on Hey Hey it's Saturday...lol It is a must that you now go and check out his duet with another Aussie legend Jimmy Barns when they sang "When Something Is Wrong with my Baby" it's a legendary performance. I love the support you give to our Australian artists on this channel. Great analysis as always.

There were more famous people on that stage than usual. I love John singing this song and I love Miss Venetta, Lisa, Lyndsey and all of John’s people. Thank you.

John was on Hey Hey heaps of times. I'll find some more of his comedy skits to send through too🎉❤ Yes he first met Tom Jones on Hey Hey and sang My Yiddisha Mama with him. They became great friends and toured together in 2005 as you've already reacted to. 😂

I don't think anyone missed Hey Hey It's Saturday. As a child, my Saturday nights were Hercules, Xena, and Hey Hey. Showing my age 😂 lol

Everyone raised in Australia over 40 years old knows Hey Hey and COUNTDOWN. we only had 5 TV channels for the longest time and suddenly cable arrived in 1995 and the internet straight after. It's much easier for something to be culturally significant when everyone is watching at the same time.

I enjoyed your reaction, but what I didn't like is the grossly inaccurate subtitles.. can you get rid of them in future reactions?
