      It was a customer's car so I won't be able to do pros and cons overtime unless they tell me anything haha but so far haven't had any issues installed a few of them at current time now. Pretty good upgrade from what I can see :)
      One thing I did notice is that when the car was off and door open is the door lock and door light buttons wouldn't adjust but there is a setting for retained accessory power so I would think that would do it but haven't played with it myself

    Great vid mate, you helped me heaps, so many thanks.
    Just finished setting mine up on an ‘05 SX Ghia….. I hit a couple of snags though, the transceiver fob on mine had 2 leads but only one socket available on the BCM, not sure why but the one lead is working, alarm is too 🤷‍♂️ (Aerpro’s answer to this was basically a ’suck it & see’ response, they hadn’t heard of it before.)
    Also, my SWC’s aren’t working….. Aerpro loom had a 3.5mm plug & three female end leads, guy at Aerpro said only the plug was needed but i’m thinking the 3 other leads will need to be spliced in somewhere but got no idea where…. No biggy really, I hardly use the SWC’s but would be handy since I’ve lost a volume knob to feel for now.
    Any advice would be greatly appreciated if you’re still keeping up with this vid mate…. Can chuck some $$ your way too, knowledge is gold as they say & i’m willing to pay for it….. only did the job myself because the local fitter has a 2 month waiting list & I’m about to do a lap of Oz.

    • @D2iAuto
      @D2iAuto  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hey. As for the transceiver, I have no idea sorry, as far as swc younonly need one or the other either the 3.5mm jack or the 3 key wires.
      Have to make sure the swc and head unit loom are connected before connecting the main power. I'm not familiar with all pioneer models but a lot of pipneers need to follow this step to work: turn car on on the head unit touch the screen where you go through the sources and drop down to source off once on source off but head unit still on then go to settings, I think system or one of those then steering wheel controls and click with adaptor then it should work.
      Also from memory the ba bf kit has dip switches on the back of the module that you have to switch I think pin 1 if using a pioneer unit so check that also its in the manual though if it's required.
      Hope this helps

      @@D2iAuto thanks heaps mate, I was just about to comment on my original comment about the SWC issue, I double checked everything you just mentioned (those dip switches are ridiculously small 😩🤣) turns out some idiot (me) plugged the jack into the wrong socket hahaha, total rookie mistake 🤪
      I found your website so I’ll give you a call shortly, will buy some stuff off you, just gotta save a few more
      $$, (I’ve rebuilt the suspension & brakes as well, which set me back $5k)…. Need new speakers & sub, my new HU has 4v pre out as well so I might ditch the factory amp for a decent power amp as well…. (Surprisingly the factory amp isn’t that bad , but being 18yrs old I dare say it will shit itself eventually)

    Hey mate, did you have to transfer the interior temp sensor on to the new Aerpro kit? I did an EDS after the change over and the interior temp shows up as being 100+. Wondering if this is because some of the wires weren't connected properly. This one didn't have a factory reverse camera but could easily hook up an aftermarket camera if wanted to. Factory cameras have to be hard wired in there's no retention harness for them currently

    • @D2iAuto
      @D2iAuto  Год назад

      You have to have the steering wheel control patch lead connected and also have it connected to head unit and can use adaptor before connecting it to the vehicle and power if its pioneer you'll have to turn steering wheel controls on in the settings with the source off.
      So there's a number of things it could be

    • @anthonyeldegel7538
      @anthonyeldegel7538 Год назад

      Do I need to buy a separate lead or will the wiring harness that came with the facia do the job. I've checked the pioneer unit I don't have an option to enable or disable steering wheel controls, by the way thanks for the quick reply.

    • @D2iAuto
      @D2iAuto  Год назад

      @anthony eldegel I can't remember if it comes with the universal patch lead but if it has a universal patch lead (has a 3.5mm jack and gnd key1 and key 2) then you don't need anything else.
      Disconnect the facia and head unit for at least 30 mins, make sure all the connections on head unit are connected first and the steering wheel control harness is connected etc.
      Then connect the facia to the vehicle last.
      Most pioneer units (not all) will require you to tell the steering wheel controls to be either an adaptor or oem control. Depending on the head unit you may need to turn the source off so the unit is on and source is off. Have handbrake on (assuming park brake wire is connected or otherwise the green wire grounded) then go to settings and set steering wheel controls to with adaptor and then they should work.
      If you go to settings and find steering wheel controls greyed out then make sure handbrake is on or as stated need to have the source off which is usually the arrow down at the top of pioneer units and select source off

    • @anthonyeldegel7538

      Right so the steering wheel controls work I wired them up but I can't get the after market ac control to communicate with my pioneer unit they work, I can control the ac fans traction control etc but they don't show up on the unit.

      Yes it works with a reverse camera there is a patch lead that comes with it which has the reverse camera output (which goes to head unit reverse camera) and reverse camera input that goes to the reverse camera that way the head unit thinks it's in reverse and displays the aircon setup when aircon is pushed bit will override that with the reverse camera when in reverse

      Yes you are. So the infodaptor (which is contained within the main aircon panel) has output to the reverse cam input of the new head unit but it also has a reverse camera input on the infodaptor itself so when in reverse and triggered it will override the infodaptor so only 1 reverse camera input is needed on head unit to do both :)
