Yeah, that would be nice. I really hate the dungeons. I've never done the skull cavern because the time I did go there I was basically insta killed.
I can totally understand why people love the dungeon, but that aspect of the game is just not for me so it sucks that quite a few things in this game are locked in dungeons and get lucky or require you to survive a certain amount of levels. 🥲
@@miikadukiyes mah man, i REALLY hated the dungeons. My tip is to get animals (mostly cows/goats) and make cheese of their milk. Do this for a couple days. These should do very good. Make sure to pet them every day. Now i always try to dodge EVERY monster. Like this, you only will need to slay a few. I always try to hit them against a wall with a sword and spam so they get stuck. If you get a shaft, immidiatily jump in. Dont hesitate to just eat the cheese, even when you still have half health, bc the monsters do A LOT of damage and can still EASILY kill you.
I recommend using Crab Cakes and triple espresso as your buffs. Then Pizzas for health restoration, doesn't cancel buffs out. Try doing the Mines till you get the Smile Charmer ring for killing 1000, this will help alot to just not get spammed by slime while fighting other monsters.
Also using bombs to just blow rocks and speed run down shafts

i used to enjoy it too, but now i'm on winter year 4 and it has become a little boring...
Some of us really don't like having to spend all morning holding right click TwT, you can use that time to mine, farm crops, redesign your farm layout, decorate your house and so on, it's almost Y3 and I have not been able to work on my house TwT hopefully winter will be better
It's boring to visit the animals every single day just so they can consistently give good products.
Once you get to the point of having like, 3 barns of cows/pigs/sheep and 3 coops of chickens/ducks it gets a big tiring to pet all of them every morning
They stack, so you can both pet them and use autopetters to increase the friendship even more

Honestly they could make a quest where you find some after joja gets shutdown n marnie then stocks em afterwards here's hoping cuz jeez they are a pain to get

EDIT NO LIE I got one FIRST TRY on floor 10 of skull cavern, high luck day, luck ring, using ginger beer and banana pudding for boosts (need to find more rock candy!)

@@Wickedyand here i am... found it by accident, just tryna reach level 100 fast then got an auto petter. Like,wait, is this possible?
At max luck (rock candy + Qi seasoned ginger ale + 2 lucky rings) each floor in skull caverns has a 9-11% chance to be a treasure floor depending on daily luck. That is to say, for every 260 staircases or so, you will get one auto-petter on average (since they are 1/26 chance per treasure floor)--not hard to do if you have a shed of crystalariums all producing jades and then just staircase your way all day while the rock candy buff lasts.
Alternatively, use Qi's seasoned lucky lunch--it is only 1% less (each point of luck adds 1% to treasure floor chance).
I managed to collect autopetters for all my 12 barns/coops this way.
I'm a magic rock candy qi seasoned ginger ale kinda gal, but I do love using the qi lucky lunches too! I've gotten the auto-petter on level 16 before, and sometimes it takes until level 300 or so, so that's a reset for me
So what I get from this message is depending on your daily luck, the 9-11 may occur.

I used your tips and finally got the Auto-Petters I needed! Using staircases on a best luck day in the Skull Caverns is the most effective for me!

My friend found two auto collectors and auto petters in our playthrough. Their luck has been insane.
Nice, didn't know about the "depends on what time you kill them on" part. I knew there was some resources like clay on tillable tiles and stuff that works that way, didn't know some monsters had stuff like that.

you are a SAINT i did this just now after watching and my first chest was an autopetter, then i continued, 4 prismatic shards, got to floor 111 with only 12 staircases, a couple other items are, crystalarium, 2 white turbans, 5 energy tonics, and 4 spicy eels
Also for those who are mod lovers, if you get the ridge side village mod there is an odd jobs store (?) where they offer to do odd jobs one of those including petting all your animals each day for 250g a day
I got three auto-petters at the skull caverns the same day, before reaching floor 140, it was just my second time trying to search for one so I felt insanely lucky.

(I didn't eat any rock candy though, couldn't afford it, so i stacked ginger ale and spicy eel + lucky ring)
I got like 6, I hate mining so I only go there when I'm doing Mr. Qi's skull cavern challenge. I always go on perfect luck days, I use a lucky ring, drink ginger ale, and eat pumpkin soup or spicy eel. I once even got them twice in one run.
I'd pay Marnie triple the amount Jojo sells if only she sells it ಥ‿ಥ

I appreciate this video bc the whole time, I thought the auto-petter was a mod that I didn't think was worth downloading (saving storage as much as possible) but it would be very helpful
The mods take up basically no space. a mod like that would be like 3MB. Smaller than a picture.
For some reason I never considered restarting the day to save myself from wasting ladders trying to reach level 100
Best thing imo is the luck food, mixed lucky iridium ring, and use bombs, other ring slot i use lucky ring mixed with napalm ring or double up on the lucky ring and iridium mix
You forgot that holding rabits foot in your inventory gives aditional luck
would multiple give more? probably not that would be too much, but like.... would they???
I got one and a grabber on one of the first skull cavern dives. Was so so happy lol as it saved tons of money
Ive been running(stairs/lucky) skull mines trying to get some for my 4 coops and 6 barns on my perfection beach farm run! Knowing the tip about the danger mines is super helpful!!!!

Oh my god my first treasure room in skull carvern was the auto Petter and I was like cool but the I realized how rare that was and I had 0 luck boosters

Thank you so much for posting this; I literally just completed the Community Center, and my next goal was to get myself an autopetter someday (petting the animals takes my farmer like all morning). I generally tend to have really insane luck in this game somehow, so it shouldn't take me too long to get my hands on one. No joke, I'm in year 4 on my first save file, and so far? I've had 2 meteorites land on my farm before I could even actually mine them, ran into the capsule, had the witch visit the farm twice (the first visit is how I got my first Void Egg), and got my first Ancient Seed Packet out of a Seed Maker instead of donating the artifact. And this all was BEFORE I got my hands on the charm at the truck! I definitely have some good karma saved up or something. So yeah, that autopetter might end up coming my way a little sooner than expected...
Fingers crossed it's in your near future! I too have certain farms that have way too much luck, but then there's always ONE random thing that is unusually hard for me to get.

This is one of the most min max stardew valley thing I have ever seen.

Lucky charm doesn't directly boost your luck but it does give a higher chance for a good luck day
Of course blade has a map predicter for special slimes in a certain quest for every item they drop in specific places
Just found it in the Skull cavern (inside the chest). Really helpful for a giant animal stall i have.

After using over 100 staircases, 1 out of 2 treasure rooms I found had the auto-petter. Never felt so lucky
I got lucky and got one fairly quickly. Still, I could always use a second one, so both the barn and coop would have one, hmm....
as it turns out if youre using the skull cavern elevator mod you can cycle through the guaranteed treasure rooms on every 100th floor over and over again because they only mark one chest as being permanently open for that day. so if you were to, say, go between floors 200 and 300 youd get a chest from 200 and two from 300 and you could repeat that infinitely. thats how i got my auto petters 😂

I waited till a super good luck day and used a jade farm to buy stair cases and bombs- I also ate a magic rock candy to help- I did this twice

My first playthrough I got it right before fall y1 because I was super scared I would run out of grass to turn into hay.
@@M00N3CL1SPE I just kept doing other stuff like foraging until I found out apparently most of the foraging items reset on Sunday or something and I could have just done all my foraging on that day. Even with coffee I feel like the days aren’t long enough ahaha. 🥲 I am happy to announce though that as of Summer year 2 I finally have a chicken coop with Hennifer, Henrietta, Henjamin and Henelope. ❤️ 😂
it took me until end of year 2, then i got everything upgraded really fast, i was just being lazy i had the stuff it was just too long of a walk, even tho i went up there daily for mining

I'm so happy cuz I got auto petter on neutral day and on 40 ish level without using stairs.

I got 3 of these things within maybe a year of in game time. Now I have an extra one sitting in a chest bc I don’t have anymore animals to use with it

I got an auto petter on my most recent farm on level 12 of my first skull caverns run
i got two in my first two skull cavern runs without luck boosts(maybe i had a spicy eel boost on one of them but im not quite sure) and i thought concerned ape just boosted the chance of getting them, both runs didnt go further than floor 150 and im pretty sure i didnt have any more tressure rooms than 10 maybe 15, feel like karma is finally catching up on me:)

I found one in my firts chest, I was so happy, it was a very lucky run, I found ancient fruits Very early game, I finished the community center in year one thanks to the dragons because they give me red cabbage seeds and a rabbit foot, I found 2 prismatic shards before year one and another in spring of year two, then after the auto-pet, 3 prismatic shards, red cabbage seeds, almost 6 dinosaur eggs I was stuck because i wasn't able to find the IV dwarf's scroll XD
Got one second chest, didn’t even have luck buff lol
I farmed it for a half game year I guess. I took me about 3-4k of ladders but at least I've got 5 of them from the chests in cavern
bro i went thru a good 75 levels one day for one and all i got was a bunch of stone, gems, quartz, monster drops, and two rabbits feet, seventy five levels, with a bunch of luck boosters, yet the next time i went, no luck boosters, just wanted some gems and slime, 3 prismatic shards in 30 levels

personally going on lucky days did not work well for me. all I kept getting from the chests were Life Elixirs and whatnot. neutral days are actually the best

I purposely went the joja route cause I got tired of hunting for it
Before i knew they would be impossible to get, i ended up getting one from my first ever treasure room! Insane
Same save file where the first ancient fruit i put into a seed maker gave me mixed seeds, I didn't know the odds of that happening so I chalked it up to the game punishing me for trying to 'cheat' and get more seeds
so i went on the joja insted of the other one i got my first auto peter in skull cavern then i bought 3 more
i got that item fröm the skull cavern but then acitendly blew it up
*inhale* time, dedication, pain, and suffering. At least in my experience
How did u see the spawns in the cave?
Can you buy saplings if you side with joja?
i don’t actually know the answer to this but you can probably find them in the traveling cart on fridays/sundays. i believe i’ve bought a few there
