Straight from the Factory: Porsche 718 Cayman GT4RS Hot Lap at Laguna Seca |

6/15/2024 marks my first month of owning the 2024 Porsche 718 GT4 RS. What better way to celebrate than its first track day at WeatherTech Laguna Seca!
On the way to the track, I finally completed the break-in period at 930 miles, allowing me to enjoy hitting 9000 RPMs for the first time. It did not disappoint.
At the track, I ran the car completely stock with factory alignment, Michelin Cup2 tires, and the OEM brake fluid. Unfortunately, the stock brake fluid along with perhaps some air in the lines did not allow me to enjoy the full 20 minute sessions. Despite the brake issues limiting me to 3-4 push laps per session, I managed a new personal best of 1:34 and had an absolute blast.
Looking forward to getting more seat time in this new platform and seeing how much more we can push after a proper track alignment and a brake flush.

@@edwordsigh I'm glad you mentioned the OEM brake fluid. I was contemplating do my first track day in the 4RS all stock but I think I will at least get Endless fluid and a track alignment done first.
