An update worth the wait? 2024 SsangYong Musso XLV Adventure review (4x4 dual-cab ute)

- Is the 2024 update really an improvement for the SsangYong Musso?
First thing, you'll notice that it's not the KG Mobility Musso. It's still a SsangYong, and the brand says it's sticking around here in Australia.
But is this - the only dual-cab ute currently on the market from South Korea - worth considering against some of the best cheap pick-up trucks on the market? Namely the GWM Ute and the LDV T60 Max?
Well, in this review, you'll see what the changes have been, whether they've been worthwhile, what the Musso is like to drive, what it costs to own and run, and whether you should buy one.
If you are interested in checking out the other reviews mentioned in this test, here they are:

I would take the Korean built ute over a Chinese one, every time.
All good, your sale isn’t changing much anyway 😂
As you wish, chief.
@@therightcar I rate the looks of musso, it’s just ssangyong company over the years is being hand balled around like some old primary school sherrin
But who would buy any Chinese tofu car?
@@garryrichardson4572 tofu car? Could say the same about Aussie meat pie cars, but where are they now I wonder? simple Google provide you with Australia/ global sales figures. You don’t have to buy em 😂
Faultless ownership experience over past 21 months and 42000 km in a Musso Ultimate Lux XLV. Suspension and dampers a bit soft, tows 3.5T surprisingly capably. As an open road tourer, and occasional trips to Fraser Island , etc..superb vehicle for the money. Quiet, refined, spacious, good on fuel. More enjoyable to drive than a prior Toyota Prado Kakadu( more involving and better tech)
My 2023 Musso is heaps better than the MQ Triton that I had which the wife hated. SWB with coils is fine for us. No problems with the ride either. Power is ok for us, last small trip I got 6.8 lit/100km a lot better than our Forester. No auto stop start, great, no overpowering lane centering, no beeps telling you to keep your eyes on the road, life is good in our Musso. Oh and the dog doesn’t mind the lap sash seatbelt.
Great point about the dog. If that’s what you’re using the middle belt for, good!
Ive got an MQ triton as my work ute.
Issues listed below.
Suspension is poor and unable to deal with the weight of the car correctly over rough surfaces.
Engine runs sooty.
Manifold prone to clogging and requires regular cleaning.
Factory intercooler hoses split easily .
EGR prone to clogging/carbon buildup.
Headlights are poor and require a light bar etc.
Paint can peel on some models and is of low quality from factory.
Manual gear ratios are too high for normal comfortable driving and average for off-road use.
Torque band in the manual is too small (really requires a tune to fix).
Fan clutch issues can cause overheating under load (apparently only lasts 60,000km).
MQ Triton's suffer from turbo lag or lag in general especially when starting from standstill and the manual transmission makes this worse with high gearing.
Vinyl on floor easily splits over time around seats and floor areas.
Needs a catch can installed
Everybody says "Triton's are a great, reliable vehicle" but then are like oh yeah but you need to upgrade that, oh you need to fix that, yeah that needs replacing etc etc.
My experience now tells me that an auto MQ triton may be the way but that doesnt fix the 70% of other issues
Finally bought the Musso after a long period of research multiple test drives and reading owners forums. Couldn’t be happier, very roomy inside the cab, super refined / smooth, all the tech and excellent to drive. Love it.
Happy to hear that!
Absolutely love my Musso. Pre. Facelift. So big, smooth, comfy and good value.
Great! Glad you’re enjoying it.
One of the highest customer rated cars on product review. Scores 4.3.
Good to know
@@therightcarone of the reasons I bought my Musso over the GWM. After sales service appears to be very poor for GWM.
Mate purchased mine earlier this year and we love it would of loved to have it in the light green but not available then, We purchased the ELX / XLV with manual transmission and upgraded suspension it is brilliant. Also a big shout out to Sinclair Ssangyong at Penrith a fantastic team of professionals.
Great stuff - and it’s always a good thing to have a positive experience at the dealership. Hope the maintenance side of things is as smooth as the sale was.
Bought SWB version a month ago. Perfect ute for me. Solid, powerful and many features at a great price. So underrated by the media, it is a bit of a shame.
I think I rated it about where it deserves to be rated. :D
A bit subjective, but I still love your reviews mate!
GWM has a timing belt , from memory it changed at 70 thousand km's and then every 100 thousand. Musso has a chain , less expense.
What's the price for doing them?
I bought a ssangyoug rexton spr 2.5 years ago ..... we love it ..... I am now buying a rhino 'musso' because of my experiance
Love My Elx Xlv.
2024 body. Easy mount Airbag Mounting points , U bolting bottom onto Axle. Hduty rear Bilstiens.
2.2 Sport Rexton mtr.
Always drive in manual.
Hway driving only. 7.9 lt avg empty.
Not a race car. A TO B IS WHAT IT DOES ...
I'll give an update when i pick up the van in a couple of weeks. May 20th
800 km round trip should be a good test, with new suspension upgrade.
😊
Awesome! Hope it all goes well!!
Have a 2023 XLV ultimate luxury, absolutely love it tows my 3ton van with ease all I did to upgrade was put airbags in coils and heavy duty adjustable shocks.
Both work well and makes it comfortable to tow and level, vehicle is so comfortable very smooth totally love the vented seats plenty of room inside best vehicle I have ever owned zero issues with it.
Got mine with 6k of extras for 48k extremely great value for money as far as the lap belt in rear goes don't have those kid problems to worry about so that is not an issue I don't cart passengers in mine, fantastic vehicle love it..
I've had mine 3 years 110ks no problems at all .
I changed the suspension on pick up it will change the rubbish drive. I go hunting in it go to Fraser island in it never been bogged.
It is awesome.
Highly recommend them.
Will buy another
I have the xlv ultimate for 2 years, great car ,great value.
Good one!
Good review and great reviewer, awesome in fact. Now subscribed 👏
Ssangyong have done a great job with the musso. This update needed to be better though. The creek should of been sized like the ranger. The wheels look too small on these cars especially the lwb. Maybe being black rims doesn’t help but they need to be at least 19’s or better designed/coloured? The elf rims are woeful and look aged already. $375 servicing is not cheap to undo a nut and change a simple filter and I would be doing an oil change every 8000 to 10000 kms rather than 15000.
Wish they imported them with the Khan badge on and wish Merv Hughes wasn’t doing their advertising. Don’t dumb your brand down Ssangyong, not everyone, in fact not that many Aussies are sport/cricket drongo’s in Australia. You could of not used him and spent his fee on that centre seat belt upgrade 😊
Thanks for that mate. Glad you’re enjoying the channel and cheers for sharing your thoughts!
Looks like a contender for me. I would like a ute without all those interfering and beeping technologies. I don't want to have to turn anything off every time I start the car. I want simplicity and reliability. Safety to me is crumble zones, side protection, air bags, seat belt pretensioners, ABS brakes and stability control, rear view camera, not beeps and farts. I also want smaller wheels with larger tyres that will give me some protection off road.
I own an LXV Ultimate and like most utes it could do with more tie downs in the back.
Interestingly, there is full power supply for 12v behind the tub liner to the rear of the passenger side - look for a rectangular indentation - you can buy the Ssangyong weather proof plug kit and install it.(great for a fridge).
One downside is the lack of fixed install points for roof racks - it is a naked roof so you must use clamps.
Compared to my previous 2014 Amarok the aircon and heater fan is weak - doesn't really pump air out, but the Musso wipers and windscreen spray is better.
Surprisingly the radio is not DAB. There is no way i would connect my phone to the Apple Play or Android play in any vehicle as the car company then has 100% access to your phone data and you agree to let them do whatever they want with it.
There is no GPS sat nav in the Australian import, so i just use my phone as a stand alone GPS Nav. It is not connected to the car!
I enjoy driving it the Musso, it has enough power and rides well, the seats are comfortable.
I have owned a 2021 ultimate xlv for over 2 years can't fault it it excellent fuel economy rock solid build quality .
Great! Love to hear that.
your review is right on the money. i am on my second ssangyong. actyon and now musso. what you mentioned about suspension is absolutely right. but these issues are very small as compared to what other main brands are experiencing these days. overall its a very good vehicle. i might be biased here but i find it very refined in terms of engine sound etc.
Thanks mate! Hope yours is good.
Thanks a million for a well balanced objective review. Your mom did a great job. Cheers
I bought the xlv with leaf springs. They ride well, less fussy compared to coil version I road tested when first looking at the Musso. 13K so far and going well. Very quiet. Good daily driver. I like the steering, better around town than my previous Triton and Navara. The cruise control is not very responsive, old media screen is poor in daylight. I only use it for light loads, not heavy towing. I would buy another if reliability holds up.
Thanks for the info champ 👍
Yep, I’ve driven the pre-update XLV on leaf springs and agree, the ride is more settled.
@@therightcarso, there is a big difference between the two suspensions regarding the ride quality? on coils is more comfortable, while on leaf springs is more tough (you feel better the bumps and all the bumps)?
@@SilentBay1879 My experience was higher frequency jitter with coils when unladen, leaf rear end does not have that. I suppose the bottom line is that ride does not seem to really suffer with the leaf springs. In some situations it feels better.
Another great review! Keep up the brilliant work.
Thanks mate!
Just ordered xlv ultimate ✌️, drives far nicer than the cannon and LDV and seem to prioritise reliability over items that would make it better on paper, the extra width cabin and air con seats were hi- lights for me, this is my 3rd Ssangyong amung other brands.
There's no metal tub behind that tub liner and as a tradie its tough and easier to slide in tools and bags of cement etc than spray in type grip paint.
You made it!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Welcome back, Matt
Thanks mate. Managed to get this edit done, should have another vid for the weekend too 👍
My friend just ordered a Amarok $80,000 and no sunroof nor ventilated seats so Musso seem pretty good value
Yikes! Context.
LDV has a very low customer rating on product review. Scores around 3.
Okay. Where does Ssangyong rank?
musso ranks 4.3 higher than the hilux matt@@therightcar
Have had my Rexton Ultimate for 15 months of trouble free motoring! Watched all other major manufacturers issue recalls, Ranger, Toyota, Mitsy and the Ssangyong has given me good feeling inside just going about its business in total confidence. Rides well, tows brilliantly (I did get ironman suspension fitted) quieter than most of its competitors and 7.9l/100 on the highway with standard 6x 4 trailer loaded to 500kg max. Was initially hesitant because of Ssangyong financial woes but new owners KG have sorted this out once and for all. Tech is first class and seats are bigger than both Hilux/Fortuner and Triton. Best value 4WD on the market without a shadow of a doubt. Is it a Landcruiser-No it isnt, but I could almost get 3 for the price one pays these days for a LC300 and the 300 is barely one and half times the car in respect of capability and ride. Missus loves the car and I m now thinking of getting the Musso our experience has been so good! Sutherland Ssangyong in Sydney brilliant to work with, courtesy car when I drop off for service and always focused on my experience as a customer!
This is all great commentary for potential new customers mate. Good to hear.
No complaints about my Musso !
Fascinating to note the vehicles having high view counts across the cars Matt reviews. Some major players with very low views.
Yep - channel is growing but it’s the challenger brands that are having cut through with my approach.
Mahindra Pik Up owners enjoyed this video
Good honest review, great to see you mentioned the ride quality as it is not the best 👍
Thanks mate.
I bought the xlv ultimate 1 year ago very impressed good economy very quiet & smooth wellbuilt & finished plenty of power for what I need tows well can,t beat the valve for money lots of features like sensor wiper auto head lights easy control's tyre monitors
360 camera
Thanks for that!
Hi Matt, great review, I like many others are in a quandry on whether to buy or not to buy. I also am considering the 2014 Rexton. I appreciate your in-depth reviews keep up the good work. A new Rexton review would be great for me.
You’re in luck, Brian… Rexton review is coming very soon!
I’d take it over any of the other utes any day
Fair enough!
I have a 2021 and its only broken down a few times with an electricam problem. The car is actually really good its the customer service that lets it down.
We need a new ute as our 2015 Colorado LTZ is falling to peices after 250k. Been in the shop 3 times with engine issues , time for a new one. Going to get the Mussi Ultimate XLV as we have horses. The 7 year warrenty is a winner and 3.5t break tow is what we need. Looked at the base level Amorak Core its plain and lacks features and costs 55k in WA. To get the same festures the Musso has, your paying at least 70k way outside our price range. Hilux and Ranger all simila price for same features. We are not cashed up mining people so cannot afford to spend 70 - 80k on a ute,
PERFECT CAR
Looks pretty good and particularly in that green taint.
Yep the green is a great colour. Just wish they'd added arch-flares and different wheels and tyres to suit the Adventure name.
I had a Ssangyong Kyron for many years. Did 440,000 Km and still drove well when I sold it recently. Keep it maintained, warm it up before flogging it and it will last ages. The whole car was well put together.
Wow! Someone paid money for a Kyron with 440k on the clock?!
@@therightcar Not very much and it just needed to do one job. The old clunker will probably still run for a while. If it stops it will be a simultaneous failure of everything.
I guess it’s not too bad for the money, but I could never get over the look from the side, it’s just a big slab of flat metal . Nice review
When your driving it ! You cant see the sides, so why worry about the looks...
It's a ute who cares what it looks like.
I have a brand new 73plate + I've not seen anyone else in London with it yet so I'm feeling very unique 😊
Nice one!
The lap sash in the rear a NON issue
Not unless you carry 5 people regularly. I’ve got one and it’s not an issue for me, but it could be for some people.
Why buy a dual-cab then?
We've all got that one kid that ......
Currently tossing up between this and a GWM. They both have good points. GWM service centres seem to be horror stories, but the local dealer also sells Ssangyongs too, so I’m having to discount that haha. I like both - though I do admit coming from a 2008 car I don’t mind not having all the nanny features.
And it’s so nice having a green paint job again - I’m quite partial to that!
Good thoughts mate. It really comes down to whether you want the tech and safety kit, as to whether you should choose the GWM. I personally would, because I value those features like blind spot and rear cross traffic alert.
@@therightcar Matt something interesting: lately I've been driving my 2001 Falcon (while I wait to get the X-Trail repaired due to a stupid L plater rear ending it) which basically has only ABS and 2 air bags as the safety nannies and I have not missed having ESP/TC, blind spot, and other active safety nannies at all, if anything it forces the driver to you know actually drive the car in a more responsible manner and yes going back to RWD after years and years of FWD biased AWD its amazing just how smother it is plus HYDRULIC power steering WOW I can feel the road again which inspires conference.
about the only thing I miss is DAB+ and Google Maps through a big screen (currently using my Pixel 7 pro running through a Bluetooth to FM transmitter for infotainment) but irony I found all my old cassettes & CD-R's and who knew all those FM stereo recordings from the 80's / 90's & making compilation CD's (when CD Burners first were released in 1999/2000) still sound pretty good today ... being LPG its not economical, but hey paying $50 and getting 50Litres makes up for that and being able to do around 350km (roughly 14.5L per 100km combined)
I was tossing up between the two, ended up with a cannon, I love having auto cruise, and all cannons even the base has it with stop and go and also subjective but it's a very nice looking ute, musso is a bit polarising
Go the musso. Much better quality car.
@@SirBigzalot Yes, and it's not Chinese.
Great job, can you do a review for the updated version of rexton ? Thank alot 🙏🏻🙏🏻
My son had a 2019 Nav great ute but plagued with engine oil leaks sold it before end of warranty then bought a BT 50 with Isuzu engine no issues but 63k. These seem to get good owner reviews but parts availability is something not many consider when buying a vehicle.
Only reason I'm looking at upgrading is for Adaptive cruise, AEB and lane assist. Sitting in peak hour each day and experiencing this combo has made me want to get a new vehicle, sadly without adpative crusie this ones now off the list :-(
Sorry, bud. Not having physical buttons and switches for the infotainment IS indeed a deal-breaker. Make cars makes sense again.
Thanks for the comment. It’s just a thing that so many brands are getting wrong!
They were good value a few years ago. And I suppose they still are compared to the competition, but it's lost it's competitive edge. I wouldn't pay this much for one especially since we get the old engine.
Yep the prices have crept up quite a bit. Success can breed greed.
Could you possibly do a comparison between the Musso Xlv and the Cannon X .??
I’ve driven both extensively.
I like both for different reasons. Cannon X is unbelievable value. Ssangyong has a more liveable drive and better towing, plus the choice of standard or XLV….
I have 2023 pre face lift xlv musso. And tbh I wouldn't have purchased it if it had autonomous cruise control.
What? Why?
agree, prefer minimum intrusions by the car that encourage sleeping at the wheel. At least the choice of non "Conga line" control should be available.
@@therightcaradaptive cruise is the best thing ever added to a car. Improves safety more than anything else as you can pay attention to the road instead of worrying about looking at your Speedo.
The auto g/box is an aisine g/box. The same as in the Mitsi,Isuzu, toyota and Mahindra. The engine is a mercedes designed diesel that the Koreans bought the patent and manufacture. Drive train has alot of American gear. Its a solid package. Only fault is that some Musso's have a violent shake at 80 and 100 k per hour. Unfortunately Musso haven't recognised this and deny the problem.
I've owned two Ssangyong Mussos in twenty four years sadly I am amazed that in all that time they have not taken on board the issue with the rear central seat belt my old MK2 had this even though it was a five door estate in the twenty four years between my old MK2 and the new Mk6 they have not changed this.
Yet Ssangyong did listen to the owners club and dealer's in regards to the placement of the handbrake which for some unknown reason they stuck on the left hand side of the centre console in the MK4 which on a right hand drive vehicle was ridiculous I had a test drive of a MK4 and at six foot one even I found awkward to use this put me off but from the Mk5 they changed this .
It is noticeable that there are differences in the specs between countries, my new one is the Saracen short wheelbase below the long wheelbase called the Rhino (from the Mk7 called Saracen+) there is only one model in the long wheelbase.
Thanks for your comment. Glad I’m not the only one incensed by it!
The lap only rear belt is a dealbreaker for me. My 17 year old dual cab has one, so why risk centre passenger facial injuries by updating to one of these? Otherwise, these would be a real contender for me.
What is the company like with service support and warranty?
Well they offer 7 years of warranty and build a brand on the back of offering a quality experience for owners. Hopefully it is good. Ssangyong owners tend to buy them again!
I took one for a test ride last year and really liked it, however it was a very sunny day and when we turned around the sun hit the dash so bad that i could not read the instrument cluster at all due to the very bright glare , the leathery flap on top of the steering column made the glare even worse and i honestly could not read how fast i was going, etc. It was the only reason i did not buy it (yet). Has anyone else encountered this?
Yep the last version had a bad glare issue on the screen. It’s better now!
good point - i noticed that too, all i could see was PU leather grain.
@@brewstamacbeth981I fitted mine with dash mat and problem solved.
A fine ute BUT for those of us in the high country looking for something besides a subaru that has FULL TIME 4wd this thing is only part time.
when's the xsr review coming out ?
When I get a chance to edit it! Hahaha
Before you use the word "CHEAP" the purchase price is only one element that makes up the cost. More importantly cost of ownership and re-sale value are just as important. The Hilux for example has the best re-sale value of the utes, cars that have done 60,000 to 70,000kms are selling for near new with the Ranger not far behind.
Fair point. There are plenty of five year old “big name” utes with 200,000km selling for similar money to this.
@@therightcaryeah and they’re good utes, but I’ll be buggered if I’m paying that sort of money for something with 200,000km on it! I’d rather roll the dice on a $40k new Ute. I keep cars until they’re done, so resale doesn’t matter to me ( my current 2008 i30 diesel is up to 463,000km, hence why I’m looking for a new car)
Yep I was definitely thinking of trading my ranger in on one but that centre lap seat belt is a deal breaker for me .
I hear ya!
Is it just me or is that a left-hand drive shifter gate pattern?
It could well be. The Rexton doesn’t have it - it gets an e-shifter with a straight sequence.
If I were in this market space then I would look the Musso well before the China brigade, that said Triton and Navara are better options.
Triton and Navara are shockers , the Musso is better than both of them. But everything else is better than it. Agree though that i'd buy this well before any Chinese ute.
Yeah Navara is a shitbox. Whenever I see one I question why someone bought it in the first place. I’d go a GWM Ute over a Navara honestly.
Thanks for your thoughts mate.
I wonder how much it’ll be if there’s an electrical fault
That’s a peculiar concern. It would be covered by the seven-year warranty, one would imagine.
So tempted by the Musso but for me, it just doesnt look like a 4x4. In standard guise, it has as much tyre-to-wheel arch gap as a medium SUV. Even with the optional ironman lift kit it only adds 40mm of lift. I know you can get a body lift for them as well but not really something I want to have to do. Great car but a bit more of an SUV than a 4x4 ute.
It does have some quirky dimensions. A set of fender flares and a lift kit with 35s would fix it, to a degree!
@@therightcarbut 35s on a Prius would look awesome too! 😂
The reason I brought one was for throwing tents in the back and abit of camping. So far been over terrain i would have never attempted in my skoda superb sportline. 😂
It's the only ute that is based on a suv not the other way around✌️
It just looks wacky compared to the other dual cabs on the market. The SWB with some chunky tyres and the ironman kit looks passable. But I will never get used to the LWB, the proportions are all off. This ute has the potential to be great, but Ssang Yong are getting greedy with their pricing without listening to feedback and improving it, and that will cost them sales. I don't consider it very good value anymore and would instead look to a second hand Ranger, Amarok, BT50 or D-Max instead.
My 98 hilux died , can’t afford a new one ( over priced ) musso or triton ?
Work or play?
I have just replaced my poverty pack hilux workmate cab for a poverty pack hilux workmate duel cab. I’m sure my new grandson won’t mind riding around in it. $41437 bargain .
That’s not a bad deal!
i had a 2005 Musso and the only gripe i had with it was that it was criminally under powered!
Barra swap? 🤣
@@therightcar if i had the skills to do that i would have lol
I still have mine and I agree, but it never gives up...not a problem with it
I’ve got 2014 v200 greatwall Ute the cheapest Ute ever made and Evan it hasn’t got a rear seat lap belt buckle.
Everyone goes on about rear centre seatbelt. Nobody mensions it has 4 whee disc brakes alot off utes have rear drums.the seatbelt was not a problem I was more interested in stopping.
When you said you had problems with cables to connect your phone you could have said that the cable must be able to transfer data as well as charge and you should have known that.
I did know that. Derrrrrr. It was a data cable, and it failed.
I had to change cable works fine now
I'm in the market for a new ute and looking at the Musso. However, I'm concerned when reading the Owners Facebook about vibration issues at higher speeds, poor dealership support with long waiting times for spare parts and Ssangyong Australia not supporting their warranty and dropping a shoulder when things go wrong plus simple things like not communicating with customers who are having issues. Does anyone have experience or comments??
That’s a bit concerning, for sure. But also, the type of person who rants online about bad service might not have been the sort of person who deserved great service!
@@therightcar I would agree with you, but this wasn't one individual, in fact the points I highlighted appear to be common themes (and there are others)... hence my post on your vlog.
Sounds like every other manufacturer atm
Its coming from stirrers who don't even own a Musso.....just disgruntled morons
I found Ssangyong Australia actioned my issue really quickly. it was the dealership that was the problem
Why no android auto?
Who are the makers of the gear box
It’s an Aisin auto.
The Wife has owned a Rexon for the past 2 years and she loves it. We did have an on going problem with it and took it back to the dealership 3 times to try and get it fixed but to no avail. After almost 2 months of being stuffed around I contacted SsangYong directly. The next day the dealership called and got the car back in and it was fixed. So if you are in QLD just be careful of the dealership that rhymes with dicks and you should be good. My MK Triton just dropped it's gearbox plus it has other things slowly going wrong at 360k she is old. I think I am going to get the Musso as a replacement. Does anyone know if you can get a tray to replace the side style on the XLV?
I got the swb and im getting an 1800 tray put on mine with a canopy
shame they still don't have adaptive cruise control.
for $34k they aren't bad. There are others that are very competitive if its over that. These days its all about how cheap it is coz China is always knocking on the door with $20k cars..
Mahindra over gwm or the world champion of rust ldv any day
21Musso ultimate and would never purchase another one. The worst riding Ute, jittery and bad shudder at certain speeds, exceleration lag around 2 to 3seconds, auto constantly hunting gears because the ecu adapts to your driving style and trying to get good support from Ssangyong is very difficult, but if you get a good one then they are not to bad
I’m confused. You say you’d never purchase another one. But then say it’s not too bad!
@@therightcar I think they are a great car when you get a good one with no problems, like any car , but the company is not listening to the current customers. The jittery ride has been brought up on many forums and they not not correct it, I believe this shows a lack of consumer support. I do like mine, like the look and the overall build, but ride and customer support is the downfall.
bigger screen ,heated steering wheel wow
As good as these cheaper dual cabs are they need some dramatic cosmetic updates, especially the grills. ie: bloody ugly.😊
That they are but I still thank whoever it’s not a Lexus 😂😂😂
Who sells Single Cabs.
Musso is also an car owned by mahindra, india
Wrong!
Wrong
If they make a right hand drive - then they can put the blinker stalk on the right hand side too = they lost how many sales due to this= many ! I don't buy due to this one stupidity.
Wow. You’re very cranky about this!
no mention of the mahindra?
I mean, if you just need a vehicle that is basic as and will handle punishment, it could be a great choice!
The only downside to the Ssangyong is cost and availability of parts
I had mecedes van off road several times waiting parts. Now a musso xlv owner so far so good
How long is the wait ? Do the dealer gives loan car in that period ?
Never ever buy Chinese!
It's not Chinese
Its Korean, like Hyundai and kia....
Right but you know this is South Korean, right?
@@therightcar , yes I'm considering buying a ssangyong. But I was referring to the statement about buying a Greatwall!
yeah because they buy x3 as much from us, as we do from them. clown.
A ute has 2 doors and maybe a space cab! That box of garbage and all the rest are sedans missing a boot lid!!!
Wow okay.
The tub looks dorky and the rear lights look too small on that big bum lol
Much prefer Korean over Chinese crap every time.
3.5t tow capacity is just ridiculous. People need to do their homework, some simple maths and stop deluding themselves. After looking at this ute and seeing all the little short fulls, low torque and no ancap it's a big Yeah Nah.
none come with motors
Mmmm Nice but just not right
It looks too long. Would be a right pain in the arse to drive day in, day out I am sure with the agricultural feel, bumpy ride and huuuuuge size of it. I want to like it, but there's just too many irks for me that would keep me from shelling out 40 grand on one.
Fair enough.
I have a musso nothing ag about it quiet smooth ride its big but u get used to it @@bigchief2331
That screen belongs on the wiggles car so does the motor,
Ha lucky Big Red Car!
The motor seems to be a cross between VM motori and Mercedes designs, well proven with its roots starting 2012 and closer version in 2018.
No Android Auto 😮
mine does
Sorry, it does have Android Auto, I didn’t mention it!
@@therightcar - Hey Matt great view, a general observation, please invest in buying an elchepo Android device (TCL 20r 5G are going cheap these days) so you can also show viewers that Android Auto works with the reviews you do, not everyone uses Apple devices and there is a huge viewer group that should also be represented, just a suggestion.
@therightcar Because he is a yuppie Apple fan.
I have 2023 xlv with Android auto had to change to better cable works fine
There is no such thing as a cheap Ute. In the end it's gonna bite you in the ass.
Speaking from experience mate?
Yip. Been driving Toyotas me whole life.@@therightcar
Heated seats and heated steering wheel in australia 😂
You know there are cold parts in Australia right?
I have a used 2012 actyon.. I love it. Except the Australian built transmission.. now that, like most things Australian is shit.
Almost as ugly as the new Triton, no thanks
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder 🤣
Can't see the outside when u drive it sitting in comfort .smooth .quiet.floats my boat.(don't think u can do much with a dual cab)
Under powered
No cab chassis
For Claytons Ute buyers 😂
No thanks
Make real Ute
Haha okay chief.
I had a 2019 BT50 (new) kept it for 3 months, road like shit and engine died overtaking a double road train. A good mate had to take his BT50 2018 back to the dealer dozens of times. Pity I didn't buy a Musso but got seduced by the big names but will be giving it a serious look this time around. The Amarok offers the best amount of recalls and the world renown VW Group shit service and unreliability but they do look good with a line of recall stickers on the drivers door pillar 😂
😂
Why do people buy dual cab utes. The tub is to small, get a single cab.
Can't get 5 people in a single cab
It would be helpful if you also gave a rating on fitting a rooftop sleeping unit Kg weight rating that can be fitted ?? for any Review you do lol, Just saying :)
