my fastest crochet project was a big blanket. the very first project i ever done when i just learned how to crochet and the blacket was the first one i made. a 2 by 2 meters (it can stretch to beyond 2 meters) and it took me 6 days to finish. used an 8mm crochet hook
After 20 dbl crochets with chain one in between, we are instructed to chain 10, skip 1 chain space, sc, then chain 4, skip 1ch sp, then repeat three more time. Then chai 7, skip ch sp, sc, and repeat two more times, then finish with four more ch 4, skip ch sp sc til 7 at very end. This does not fit in the 20 dc pus ch spaces from previous row?!?
This is not the best video for this pattern. No pattern text and no instruction whatsoever. Find a different video. I have been crocheting for longer than this person has been alive, and I had trouble with the numbers.
This pattern is so confusing. It says to continue with rows 8-11, but if you repeat row 8, it’s written for after row 7. The stitch counts don’t work out the same? How do I continue with it?
@@CharlieOkeson do you know why its called "going viral"? Because when the internet was able to spread information quickly and things grew in popularity it was said to have "Spread like a virus" Thats been a thing since the internet was invented. Maybe you don't like that particular saying but its been around as long as the internet itself. And because the shawl "went viral" its known as "the virus shawl" I don't think the person who named it really minds what you call it. You can call it a V shawl and it wouldn't matter much. But to everyone who has been making this shawl for years, they know it as the virus shawl and I don't think the name is ever going away. But do feel free to call it a "viral shawl" or "v shawl" or just "fancy stitch shawl" when you make it for yourself. No one will mind
Thank you so much. The way you explained this shawl is by far the best for me. Want to try this very soon, it's so pretty. Thanks again.
Very pretty - thanks for sharing 😊

Thanks Gea! Love the Virus shawl! The fastest pattern was a waffle stitch baby blanket. Took me 2 1/2 weeks! 🙏😇♥️
That's so beautiful
Wonderful tutorial and thank you so much for the free Pattern. May I ask what yarn you used for this tutorial?

You cut your losses and find a video that is slower, has written pattern captions. It isn't you, it's the video.
@@SilentNoMore64 thank you 😂 I figured it out so I’m hoping that means I’m a genius 😂😂
You could give the hook size and yarn type and ply. You seem to be in a hurry!
100% no instructions. Making a video of yourself crocheting, doesn't make it an instructional video. The key word is, "instructional".😊
The pattern is on their website.
I think you have to slow down, you going to fast please, thank you
If you go to settings on the screen you can choose the speed.
It has always been called the Virus shawl.. since it come out years and years ago 😂
Sorry, but that's a horrible name for a shawl. As pretty as it is.
Been called this for years
The name came WAY before Covid😂 Its called a virus shawl because it went viral online when it was first created many years ago
@@cherachapin3826 then it should be called "Viral Shawl".
