Your guys are exceptional. Really enjoy how you project the country. The media in South Africa is owned by white owned multinationals whose sole purpose is to discourage investors from coming to the country while they continue milking the country of all its resources. They don't want to be disturbed. We appreciate AA for coming now Black South Africans and AAs need to partner to wrestle the economy away from them folk

the reason why many malls & shops close early is not because of crime, but rather because many of the workers live outside the cites or far away from the workplace & have to travel long distances to get home. it's the one of those still remaining legacies of the 'apartheid spatial development' where black people/working class were "bussed in & bussed out" of the city to townships after work and it's one of the reasons why you'll now see a lot of these 'informal settlements(shacks)' near developed areas which are filled with the people who work in the city because it's much more cheaper to live there than to travel 1 or 2 hours everyday to work from the townships.

We do indeed know everything about all your struggles and triumphs, past and present.
We have also had many of your superstars perform here to sold out stadiums. You might be aware maybe that Chris Brown tickets sold out in no time, despite huge noise from foreign NGO-led woman’s rights groups.
Back in the 80s or 90s our national broadcaster showed the Roots series on TV. We could relate, even though our colonisers had not been as brutal, but it showed us just how long these people have been doing this to us as a people.
We cried for you during the Tr-ump presidency when so many were being wantonly unalived, even had a march. Black Americans looked at me funny in the Us when I dared to suggest that they would be better off if there was a way to move them to my country. I soon understood that their notion of an African person is based on the Nigerians who are the Africans they encounter the most in the US.
Anyway, glad you’re enjoying or enjoyed your time here.
We have similar problems. As America goes so goes South Africa, because our countries are managed by the same global oligarchs. We just have population numbers on our side, and our spirit of ubuntu and resilience.

    • @BongieBala
      @BongieBala 2 месяца назад

South Africans and African Americans share a deep and painful history of slavery and oppression. We have both faced discrimination, inequality, and injustice at the hands of our oppressors. Despite the hardships we have endured, we understand each other's pain and struggles, and we stand in solidarity with one another.
We have experienced being looked down upon by immigrants who come to our countries and take away our rights by accepting below minimum wages. This puts us in a position where we cannot stand our ground and demand equal pay for the work that we do. However, we remain resilient and determined to fight for our rights and to demand fair treatment.
One thing that unites us is our love for dancing and music. We find solace and joy in our cultural expressions, and it brings us together as a community. We are welcoming people who believe in unity and standing together in solidarity.
Despite the challenges we have faced, we have the strength to overcome and rise above the injustices that have been inflicted upon us. Let us continue to support one another, to stand up for our rights, and to work towards a more just and equitable society for all. Together, we can create a better future for ourselves and for future generations.

Don't tell lies just because you came to Africa with a preconceived notion. It’s also due to the previous regime town planning. Black people were placed far from economic hubs. Townships were meant to be dormitories/ concentration camps. Hence they were placed far from city centres. An effort to exclude and invisiblize bkack people. Similar to what Argentina and Australia did to their black people. Our leaders fought back! The Sobukwes, the Or Tambos, the Steve Biko’s, hence they were unalived quickly.

This video is professionally done. When I was a child I used to admire black Americans. I had a far fetched dream. I wished that black Americans could all return to help build Africa because I saw them having the skills to do so. Our fellow african brothers are trying, some are ruining the continent. I still dream that blacks all over the world can unite to build this continent. Thanks to the Caucasian brothers and sisters who have made Africa their home for taking care of the mother land. Africa is the heart of the world. Africa is the Mother of the world. The provider and naturer. Africa should be taken cared of and not exploited. Narratives are changing, I love that.

Another reason why I reckon most businesses close as early as they do is 1. how serious we take labour laws and 2. prioritising rest for employees. We work overtime when its required, but people don''t chase it.

Great observation: Joburgers(and people in Gauteng Province in general) are definitely bolder and louder than our lovely Capetonians. We love our Mother city-Cape Town, but honestly it feels more European than African. I would choose Joburg/Pretoria all day-erriday and maybe retire in Cape Town, lol

In my 33 years of life, I've witnessed or been victim of violent crime exactly 0 times.
Not saying crime isn't a problem...just saying it mostly affects lower income communities which is obviously a different type of issue. It's 30 years since the fall of the apartheid regime and life here has not changed that much. I very rarely encounter racism, but the systemic issues still are very very real. Money has a funny way of making these issues dissapear and your chances of having money increases quite a lot if you are white. The great thing is things are exponentially getting better. 2030-ish onward should be a great era for us with regard to progress and equality.

Cape Town is much more European and more cleaner, safer, organised. Joburg is more accommodating, not exclusive. Smaller version of NYC. Joburg is bigger than CPT and the economy is more accommodating. Both cities have great quality properties. SA In general has amazing options when it comes to properties. They’re all great quality. Infrastructure is the same in both cities. CPT is more scenic and more relaxed.

It's not just the media that put South Africa in a bad light. A lot of South Africans are so self critical that they end up spooking foreigners. Although our country has it's problems(many of them), we play a huge part in convincing the world that it is a hell hole that people should avoid. I've had African people who have never set foot in South Africa telling me howhorrific my country is, based on what they have been told, by South Africans. And we also do very little to highlight what's great about our prople and home. I'm always watching videos of Western black people who come here and are so taken aback
