- Pre-release Multiplayer test with the the V1.6 version of AMS2 Beta demonstrating various recent developments made to the game and its Multiplayer experience.
The test was hosted by Low Fuel Motorsports as part of their own ongoing beta integration of their services with AMS2, which is expected to extend to all users upon V1.6 release (currently in final stages of development).
The video is part of the upcoming November 2024 Development Update

@@hdvrNG Honestly, since V1.5 there are only a small handful of cars that feel to me as what you describe as 'ice skating rear ends'. All I can say is, I enjoy 'drifting' when exiting the pit garage in say the Porsche RSR 😏 In v1.6 when I try to do the same I drive pretty much straight into the pit wall opposite my garage due to the increase in 'grip' 🤪 The biggest difference (in all cars) is the 'slip angle' being narrower and having to react A LOT quicker to catch slides when pushing beyond the 'ideal' tyre temp. It will take many quite some time to get used to this in V1.6 when pushing hard in Time Trials or Qualifying sessions. 👍🏁
* All of the above has been covered to some degree or another in Reiza dev release notes/updates over the past few months.

LFM support could really take this sim to the next level. Reliable multiplayer with well populated grids is what we really need

Yeah, have to agree. It's always very disappointing seeing the session list at prime time (early to late evening in Europe). Only a few open sessions and half of them GT3 at the same tracks you can also race in ACC...
If lfm is choosing the car track combo and the series will overlap and in some cases there will be only 4 races a week like in AC it will be a huge fail 😂
@@khaos3433 If you see only 4 races a week in AC then you are blind or need your head checked.
Man I love this game. It is the only game, when it comes to graphics, sound, feeling of speed, etc. that makes me feel like a race driver. Waiting with anticipation for V1.6. Take your time please and do not allow the community to pressure you in releasing something that isn't really 100% ready to release. Thanks for putting in so much time and effort to make this one of THE TOP sim racing games out there. 🙏

No reason not to try it now, it's an amazing sim (despite Reiza time being annoying). Much better FFB feel than AC IMO and far better graphics than iRacing
I'm in the same boat! I've had it on my wishlist on Steam for a long time, waiting for the price to drop to buy it hahaha

THANK YOU VERY MUCH. You are a wonderful company that has managed to create something with which I have spent 500 hours living the dream of driving a sports car and experiencing what it feels like in different motor disciplines. This simulator is a unique gaming experience, which has also improved update after update. The community should thank REIZA for this excellent work, because what there is here is passion for racing (since if they were like other companies they would already be working on another project, abandoning this one and earning, perhaps, more money). But REIZA is improving the game with free updates.
PS: Reiza does not pay me, I simply have a great time with AUTOMOBILISTA 2 and I want it to continue being that way, I feel grateful in some way.
PS2: I don't know if there are metrics in STEAM about the number of players, but I have put aside this sim precisely because I was waiting for update 1.6... it may be a common phenomenon that when news like this comes out you leave that sim because you feel like you are playing something "old". The impact of these announcements on the gaming community should be carefully analyzed.
I have never raced with that many human racers in AMS2 before so that will be a lot of fun I can already tell.
How ? It's a regular occurance almost daily in big multi lobbies. 25-30 ppl in the same lobby.
Try jumping in to @SimRacersArms lobbies/Livestream where we fill up with human drivers for 7 or 8 races every Tuesday & Thursday (from 16:00 UK). If you can't see the lobby it means it's full - @ReizaStudios please change the Lobby 'View' to show full lobbies, so many people have the opinion that no one is teking part in MP because the Lobby does show 'Full' lobbies.
Why not join (if you can) our lobbies/livestream where we fill 7 to 8 races every Tuesday & Thursday from 16:30 UK, no password & just to gain experience and of course FUN 😁

Date or not date is the same, they will release when they consider is ready, i just hope it is at least a month sooner that AC EVO.

Finally AMS2 Online mode is getting the attention that it needs.
Time is running out, and so is the opportunity to attract more people.
Assetto Evo is getting closer every day and if the current players don't get hooked on Automobilista 2 with the 1.6 update released, everyone will be on Evo. I hope it arrives with enough time for there to be many players and not when Assetto Evo is already on the market or 15 days before.
ac evo will not release for like 2 more years. It will be in early access. AC games in early access are rough
If you look carefully you can see me bravely and deliberately throwing my Porsche into the kitty litter (around 21:40) infront of Renato so he can safely pass me without holding him up...honest! :D
I have a 4K recording of this race from my POV ready to post (waiting till we're allowed to post content), had a multi-lap battle with a M4 GT3 which i really enjoyed, 1.6 is quite the thing. :)

I am so glad yall worked on the traction control sound. It currently drives me crazy in 1.5.
This is impressive. From driving the 1.6 Not for Media branch I am impressed with the updated tyre slip at the rear. The car feels more dynamic now. So, I can see myself jumping between this for my IMSA fix and LMU for WEC. Excellent job, this is brilliant work guys! One small ask, can you make the triple screen setup/support a bit more user friendly? Cheers, and fantastic job once again.

These cars LMDh aren’t glued to the track. The lmp1 was a car that had power, lots of grip, great braking.

@@SIMRACINGTRUCKER they already patched out a massive madness engine suspension flaw with 1.5. The suspension was basically calculated not in sync. Thats what gave NFS Shift und to some extent Pcars this bouncy and unpredictable suspension behaviour.
I've missed you, Road Atlanta. Haven't raced properly there since AMS1. Bring it on! Now!

I'm not bothered about the MP side, but the camera changes, shaders and, of course, the new content are all looking fantastic.
I can't wait to compare it against LMU and enjoy the IMSA tracks and grid! ❤

Yes. There will be a forum post about the update in November (or maybe early December). I don't know anything specific, but I can speak Reiza.
Absolutely! Last time out before the september update they published a few teaser videso like this, I think it was like 2-3 days prior to releasing the dev update

It just means you have a timing window (which means nothing in reiza language) for the update about the update...
Developement update means it's an update about the progress, not date for the update itself.
I hope we can drive it this year... :)

Can't describe how excited I am to have AMS2 on LFM, finally we are getting some serious online lobbies
I really am excited about this, but I'm not letting myself fully believe that the car 'floatiness' is fully addressed. It is the #1 reason why I spend most of my time on RaceRoom these days -- that sense of actually feeling the surface and being able to respond to it.
God please let this happen because it would so F***ING AMAZING

I’ve been waiting for 1.6 since August. Checked every single day, and sometimes twice a day. I’ve nearly given up. I’m hoping by Xmas at this point. I’m sure it will be worth the wait, though.

Wow amazing preview!! Will AMS2 be getting the Downtown Detroit street circuit to complete weathertech championship calendar in IMSA DLC pack? Along with Mid-Ohio, St. Petersburg, Miami, Sonoma and Martinsville from IMSA’s other support series in future track packs 2 and 3?

Not a fan of LFM, but have always had a soft spot for AMS2. I love hosting lobbies and racing and making friends in the sim world, this online update is just what’s needed 👊🏻 (also can you make it so hosts can kick certain people who spoil it for others as the vote thing never works)

Just a liitle Change-Tip: Different Colors for each Class in Rank-Table, so its easyer to look for.
In my beta build they are indeed deferent colors, green for the GT3 and pail gray for the LMDh, I think its just the boss's special build maybe ;-)

Lamborghini's impending arrival has been known for a while since their September dev blog. Always good to see more people discovering though, did you notice the Alpine LMDh, the Audi R8 GT3 and the Corvette Z06 GT3 there too?
They were revealed awhile back from that youtuber who was posting beta footage. Its since been deleted but he showed off stuff we haven't seen. There's a few lambos being added.

look, you guys need to get this update moving. At the moment, AMS2 is looking exactly like a dead game ... there hasn't been anything on the events page for many weeks.
I love the game, best thing since RF2 in my book, but it is looking desolate right now
With assets corsa evo coming and iracing cornering the market. Will the Tyre and physics keep ams2 competitive or push the needle in sim racing. Their is a lot of hype which is creating more concern than anticipation at this point. I enjoy this sim an would love to see it at the forefront of sim racing whenever I want to get in an go ams2 has been that sim which has been its biggest positive trait

dont know if reiza team are up for suggestion but may I add potential dlc content like official Pikes Peak hill climb with hill climb monster cars, time attack tracks and cars, japan superGT and super formula calendar
No way... That's all way too niche. They still need to develop the base engine and physics, i do not want them wasting time on time attack of all things... No thanks. That jack of all trades crap can stay with Forza/Gran Tourismo. Rather Reiza get their sim working, then start adding different disciplines again. There's already too much half baked content in AMS2
