- First ride.
Rider @erk_speed
Please note that we didnt have time to setup the Stark app since the sun was setting, so the app shown in the video is some random speed/map app found on the Google Play store.
21/18 Husqvarna wheels (from a 2022 TE300i) fitted with Airmousse and Michelin Enduro front and Metzeler 6 Days Extreme rear.
The ride was about 2 hour long in total, but I dont know how much battery capacity that was left since the phone wasnt connected to the bike.
I don't know about hard enduro, but cool trails. Was hoping to see how it performs in very technical terrain... steep hillls, splatters etc. Great video anyway.
Subscribed! Eager for more Stark Varg content off the MX track!
That’s exactly the kind of riding I’ll be using mine for, if it will do 2hrs moving time in that terrain I’ll be stoked 😊
Will do some proper range tests later on.
There are better options for enduro because the stark varg is comparably heavy. It's better suited for mx or even street riding.
@@testtor2714 It is lighter than a WR450 with a full tank of fuel....
@@weekendveterans Stark Varg weighs in at 118 kg. That's about the weight a 400 EXC had 20 years ago. No, that is not light weight.
@@testtor2714 Its also the same weight as my Husqvarna TE300i -22 with a full tank of gas and AXP bash plate. The Varg feels more like a 125 in weight, unless you drop it and has to pick ut up 😀
Would be great to see the bike up close play riding - love the on the Forest Grey/18" wheel spec!
It's amazing to finally see this bike to customers and enjoy it not like the damon hyper sport that still teasing everyone and not deliver, so the stark varg really make the EV industry moving and it's a good thing ! I hope someday I can try one
Love those trails!!
Finally ! Thank you & keep it coming. What about the 260 lb weight ? Is the 20-ish pound additional weight over your 300 2T a big negative when stopping & turning & when aiming the thing down a slope ?
The weight is roughly the same with full tank and some extra protection, but it’s MUCH lighter to ride, you feel the weight when you pick it up from the ground but not when you’re riding it.
@@enforcer-enduro Thanks ! Does it feel as easy to stop/turn/go at slower speeds as a typical 250/300 two stroke ? I have one for an August delivery & that 260 lbs is giving me pause, so your video & feedback is particularly useful.
@@sidluxurious7816 I would like a softer throttle map for the really technical sections, but other than that, it is really easy to control. Was riding earlier today and I have a couple of "no dab challange" sections on the track and I cleared most of them, I think that I just need to get used to the bike.
@@enforcer-enduro Eventually the 'virtual flywheel' map option will be available for download - that should soften the delivery some. Reducing the engine braking setting would likely allow the bike to sort of 'coast' a bit, much like a two stroke does, which might help make the throttle seem less abrupt in the slower hacky stuff.
Man ths is sick. I wish I could afford it rn, can't ride due to noise complaints this would be a game changer
You got a new sub and I didn't even watch the video yet haha
How does it feel to ride enduro without a clutch? too much wheel spin?
Finally someone using it as enduro thx
Interessting to see thanx. The bike seems heavy tho and hard enduro ?
Looks beautiful here 👌
What app are you using on stark phone, the skin looks different than mine .
Hi, thanks for the vids! What do you think so far in a bit rougher terrain. Is it a problem not to have the cluch to play with? Or can you take hills and obstacles with the same confidence with the Varg?
I have more confidence in my Varg then in my HQ300, mainly because its much more balanced and refined. I have to do some more testing, but so far the lack of clutch hasn't been a big problem in more technical terrain.
@@enforcer-enduro Good to hear! 🙂
Got a sub as I am waiting for more information as to how it does in the woods despite being a MX bike as well!
I am thinking of a lot of tracks I don’t have the confidence to get out of on my 250xcw that this would be perfect for. No stalling and slow climbs on steep terrain would now be possible. 👍
Was that a transfer section to the hard enduro loop?
All they need to make the perfect enduro bike is a clutch and a setting to change the idle speed so you don’t roll backwards on really steep hills / rocks…
I hope they add that in a future model because then I’m 100% down to buy one but until then it belongs on an mx track or easier trails like in the video
I do really want a proper hard enduro electric bike though 😢
How does the suspension feel on the rocky parts? Were you able to tweak to be soft enough?
I havent tweaked it yet, was about to fix the app and suspension today but then another Stark owner asked me to help put his bike together, so focused on that.
Den kom tillslut 🎉❤
Question: How was it without having a clutch? Did you miss having the ability to slip and/or drop the clutch?
In rare cases yes, but I think that the traction control that is coming will eliminate those problems for me.
@@enforcer-enduro Oh ok. I have two Vargs coming ( 1x 80hp and 1 x 60hp), one for me and one for my daughter. We do 80% trail riding and 20% motocross. Can't wait!!!
Really curious to know what range you get in that terrain. Finally, a proper enduro breakin!
I will hopefully do a full range test later this week.
great video! a stretch calling it
'hard enduro" would like to see it in true hard terrain
Yeah I know that name “hard enduro” is thrown around a lot but I stick to Swedish standards 😂 Everything gnarlier is considered extreme enduro over here
2ND bike book !!!!!
Känns det som det är stor skillnad på räckvidd mot Freeride e?
Nu har jag inte kunnat köra slut på den än, men tror definitivt att den kommer räcka längre ute i skogen.
tell us about range for enduro ?
How did it feel (power/handling/suspension)?
Plenty of power, I didn’t even bother to try 60hp. Handling is amazing, nimble and controllable. Seems like beating a dead horse but it is as good as everyone says.
I ordered springs one step down in par with Starks recommendations, but I would like it even softer. That’s an easy mod thought.
@@enforcer-endurogood feedback on the springs. I've specified a level or two below my fully geared enduro weight but may go a step lower. Hopefully we'll hear a lot more enduro Varg riders commenting on spring stiffness.
@@SWTrailsAndWheels Yeah according to a poll here in Sweden (local Varg group on facebook, about 60% plan to use the Varg for enduro. Its gonna be amazing
@@enforcer-enduro Good news for the enduro community!
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes
Huh, you can actually hear the woods
Where is a hard Enduro track?
if thats had enduro then ive been riding in the rockies
Where is the "hard" part of this hard enduro?
why would anyone need to run 60hp for that kind of terrain ? just set it to 30ish KW and you will have plenty of battery life to run until you are done ! This will be and excellent enduro bike !
My birthday is in August if anyone wants to get me one. 🎉
looks like its beating you to death
Thanks! I guess?
@@enforcer-enduro i mean the suspensions looks like its really harsh
@@opencurtains9323it is, it's non-adjusted mx spec out of the box, so very stiff for enduro /the rider
Hopefully it sounds better is person; what an irritating squeal!
I préfère this sound than a under reving ICE
Less sound equals more riding ground :)
That isn't hard Enduro, it's single track, nice buy single track. We need a clutch 😢
