      Hey Kevin. How is your ankle doing? I have to admit even now every time I walk I'm scared that I might trip and fall and hurt my ankle all over again. Take care of yourself.

    wow, I feel super strong now, I have two plates and some screws in my ankle, my doctor after 5 weeks of my operation, he took me off my boots and sent me to walk without limping, without holding on to anything, like something magical , I did not receive any therapy, I really had almost no pain, but, I totally took care to have a healthy meal and lots of water, maybe that is

      hey James we are so glad that our videos are helping you get through this time. I hope you are starting to do better with putting more weight on your ankle. Take your time. It's going to take some time. Im now 1 year ad 4 months and I'm finally starting to feel less pain. When you're able ask your doctor if he would recommend a physio therapist. Mine helped me alot in my recovery.

      I had my stitches taken out on the 20th of November. I can walk as tolerated with a walker with my CAM boot, and can go back to work on December 2nd only because I have a sit down job. Then I go to the Orthopedic doctor on the 18th of December. I am so scared to go back to work and pray all goes well. I put some of my recovery on my channel as well. Thank you for your kind words.
      God bless

    I just got taken off of bed rest from an internally severed foot/ankle. It's been two months. I have a plate 8 screws and had 14 stitches. It is very painful and frustrating. And they want me to do it without any help from crutches. I forgot how to walk.

    Hi - thanks for the video. how is the range of motion after the surgery? My friend is considering the same surgery but is concerned about the ability to dance afterwards. Any advice?

    • @KrisKev08
      @KrisKev08  5 лет назад +1

      @Alex Xenakis -- Hello 🤗. You're very welcome. Thanks for watching our video. It depends on what kind of fusion your friend will have. I had a TTC Fusion so the ROM I can get to my foot/ankle is up and down according to my surgeon. As for now, I can't move it all yet because I'm still in the early stage of healing. My surgeon adviced me to keep practicing my foot to go up and down. I think it's best to ask your friends surgeon what his/her limitations will be because there are different types of Ankle Fusion.

      @LovingMy4Luvs , How are you keeping? That's great that you can start putting weight on it. Just take it easy and please don't over do it. Take your time..Is your ankle fused already? Every surgeon is different eh? Mine, He waited to see the results of my CT scan to see if my ankle is fused together. then he let me start putting weight on it. I was 8 weeks bed rest, I only move if I have to go to the washroom and my appointment with him. I'm glad I listened because now my bones are already fused although that time it feels like forever stuck in the bedroom. Lol

    Thank you for posting this. I go to the doctor tomorrow to see if I am released for weight bearing. Did he tell you to do % of weight first?
    I haven't put weight on it in 7 weeks , but when sitting on the toilet I place it on the floor and i can feel pain like pins and needles. But way worse.
    After watching your wrist pain with your Walker I am tempered to reverse my knee scooter. Place good leg on the scooter bad on the floor. 🤔

    • @KrisKev08
      @KrisKev08  4 года назад

      suedefringe how is your ankle? My doctor just told me to start walking. There is no reason for me not to be walking now cause my ankle was already fused. I guess he has no idea the amount of pain that comes with an ankle fusion haha. How is the knee scooter helping? I hope we are able to put more weight on it now.
