So I was an indian passport holder untill last year and now canadian passport holder, so, when they ask, if i have visited india before, and i say YES, they ask on what visa etc, should i select No as an answer? Because I never had to take visa before.

Hi, helpful video but I want to know one thing, does 30 days, 1 year or 5 years visa dependant on the fact if you are new to india like first want to travel to there? Example first time filling out the application and pick 30 days for visa or 1 year, os there a difference for who applying for the first time?
I don't think so like that but to be sure you can call on the evisa helpline and ask them. They should be able to give you 100% confirmed answer
Is it ok to put expected date of arrival is not based on the ticket?and port of arrival is not same also on the ticket?for example in the visa applied port of arrival amritsar but in the actual flight arrival is in new delhi?because i will apply for visa first before i will buy ticket .

When I traveled on this visa, they did not ask me to show bank statements but who knows they may. There is no harm in keeping it with you as proof of funds

Any suggestions if the parent was born in Pakistan before partition and moved to india in 1947. I think the answer yes to the question on evisa got our application rejected. Even though parent never was always Indian citizen and never ever visited Pakistan

Hello i wondered if you could answer one thing for me. After i finish filling in Screen 2 where i put in my passport expiry date etc.. The system then will NOT let me proceed. After i click "Save and Continue" It goes back to the same Screen 2 but all the boxes are now blank!! I have tried more than 10 times now and still the same. Wondered if you had any recomendations? There will not be any stamp. Within 72 hours if no issues, your approval will be issued. You can board a flight using this and then at port of entry you will get stamp on your passport

When I applied I had put the name of someone I was visiting in India. There is a helpline and an email address on the site. You can contact them for correct information

Well in that case , I would suggest you surrender your Indian passport first as that will free you from any issues

Quick Question regarding "Other Countries Visited in last 10 years" - I m assuming this is only based whether you have travelled in those countries on visitor/tourist visa. In my situation, I had PR (now citizenship) of Canada, and previously held Indian Passport - I haven't travelled to any country besides Canada and India. So should I just keep that field as Blank, or fill "Canada"?

For the documentation part - it asks to upload my passport as a PDF document. I used an Adobe Acrobat JPEG -> PDF converter. The file opens perfectly for me however when I try to view my upload ONLY ON the visa website, the file does not open. Would this be a problem, will the file open for them?

@helpingall What I meant was that you were born Indian but became an American citizen through naturalization; and you have visited India with an Indian passport, but now that you're an American, you need to apply for a visa. How would you respond to the question, "Have you ever visited India?" Because if you choose yes, the application will ask for a visa number, but you didn't need one because you were traveling with an Indian passport previously.

If I apply for 30 days evisa for india from Uk, what date should I put in application for the date of arrival? As they count the date of arrival as the date of expiry of ETA? As example: if I am going to arrive at 16/10- what date should I put in application? Should I put 17/10 just for the safe side? Please reply immediately if possible

Will I get entry on 16/10? Or do I have to make another application? If yes then now this time what date should I put in date of arrival in application because as per my understanding they count date of arrival as date of expiry of ETA.

Evisa is not applicable to Bangladesh citizens. You can definitely apply through Indian mission there. You can find the list of countries allowed for evisa here

Hi, this is helpful, but I tried to apply for e visa and it always get stuck on the part where I have to fill in my parents information, I have fill in everything but when I click on continue and saved, everything is gone and I have to fill in my parents information again. I have fill in a hundred times, changed different device, nothing work. I do not have a given name on my Canadian Passport but the given name field is mandatory on the e-visa form. How should I fill my name. I have tried contacting their helpline but I am either unable to talk to them or they dont give the answer I need.
They have a support email ID. Send en email to them. They should respond
@@HelpingAll I did. They gave a very useless response. They asked me to leave the given name field blank which is not possible as it is a mandatory field. I am just tired. I have a flight in 3 weeks.
@winnipegimmigration9617 then respond them back with the same information about the field is mandatory. Also contact the Indian mission around your place and see if they can grant you a visa.
@@HelpingAll I only have a BLS in my city no Indian consulate. BLS does not handle e-visas. I have been sending them emails for a few days now. They either ask to call their helpline (which they never answer) or give a vague response. I am now looking for someone with a similar experience to understand how it worked out for them.

Hi. I am thinking of coming to India for the second time. I am thinking of applying for this 5 years e-visa. At the beginning of the application they ask for "airport of arrival". I don't know yet in which airport I will arrive because I don't have yet the ticket , as I want to make sure I have a visa before buying a ticket. So I wonder what if I write a whatever airport of arrival (example: from Rome to Delhi), and then eventually arriving to India in a different airport (example: from Naples to Mumbai)? Will it work or I risk to be refused my entry?
This is covered in their faq. You can enter through any port that supports this. You can read faq on their website
