NCR - one of Vegas' more fleshed-out factions.
They had some of the most content in a game,but there's never too much of it to have.
No particular issues spotted;do the usual - check when the mods were made,the older it is,the more antiquated the execution and tools,therefore more likely to cause issue,look around in the comments sections of said mods,especially "In The NCR",which is 12 years old at this point.
One thing I have seen happening to a lot of people is windows 11 is being completely incompatible with a lot of old games. This might happen in case of old mods too. It's a real big issue because some games can become unplayable in the future if this keeps happening. I personally use a windows 10 pc so it is not a problem but Microsoft should do something about this issue.

One good thing about the rather flat and emotionless dialogue delivery in 3 & NV is that AI generated voice is perfect for adding new lines, really wish more mod authors weren't so hesitant about using it
There is a nexus mod that reskins the convoy trucks as ncr trucks,just check the requirements section
If New Vegas is remastered for the PS5 there should be free play after completing the main story. Perhaps something similar to Broken Steel where either Oliver, Lanius, Yes-Man or House sends the player on post-game missions to finish off the remnants of either the NCR (if aligned with the Legion) or Legion (if aligned with the other 3 factions). Unlocking a unique ranger sequoia would be a cool reward
At this point, I don't trust Bethesda to do the remake. Lord knows they'll add some creation club trash to it or whatnot.

@@Chedring The end is the only thing about New Vegas that sucks. Players want to continue exploring the map after completing the main story like in Fallout 3 and 4, discover new locations, bust all the casinos, and play the DLCs if they haven't had time to do so yet. Post-game play for New Vegas should be an option for players who want it, perhaps as additional DLC
@@Nick-zp3ubyeah I remember getting nv with all the dlc I did the main story and was mad that I couldn't continue cause I saved the dlc thinking I could do it after the main quest line you could tell I was pretty mad they did that too for cyberpunk 2077 a game took like a decade to make
Nv is meant to play and replay with different actions and builds, not to keep playing the same run indefinitely.

Good list, I wish the trooper overhaul didn’t have a lot of problems otherwise I’d reccomend it over the assorted NCR retexture. Glad you didn’t put ADAM Reborn in as well as it’s a great mod but has deteriorated without updates. If you wanted to cover the ranger armors I recommend Physically Based Rangers

I never considered giving the NCR much mod love, since I'm not that into them. But this might just make me do an NCR playthrough! I feel like the ADAM mods deserve a shoutout, they do some amazing work to all of the ranger armour that the first mod doesn't cover. Looks amazing and includes some cool uniques as well.

One of the few good uses for ai. Hearing bad voice acting or just voice acting that doesn’t sound like what’s in the game is what takes me out of a quest mod and reminds me it’s just a mod and not part of the base game

to be honest i kinda talked out of my a$$ there. i do know you can use animation mods on other guns but you don't need xedit for that. try checking this forum post. hopefully it will provide what you are looking for.

Considering how stretched thin the ncr military is normally I don’t know how they could afford to give their soldiers especially troopers different specialised equipment as well as large ammo pouches and bandoliers.
The ncr has 700,000 citizens it only takes a couple thousand to make simple fabric pouches and belts my dude. The real question is how do they make the stab-resistant chestplates for the armor?

@greggoleggo9160 ammo is not hard to produce, it can be made with supplies available at many stores in most medium towns, let alone cities. Firearms are actually very simple technology. You just need gunpowder, which is made of mostly household chemicals (and it would be very easy to mine for the rest), then you need a simple set of tools to shape the brass and mold your bullet. Then you put it all together, and make a tiny primer (basically a little cap of explosive) that ignites the bullet when shot.
Many gun owners reload their fired cartridges even today. We just pick up the brass casing, discard ones that are deformed (usually sell them to ammo makers to melt down and reuse anyway), and do the process I mentioned. I haven't done it in years because I don't shoot much anymore, but it can take less than a minute to make a single reloaded cartridge if you get good at it. And if you have (there are several million of these out there) a reloading press which is basically a very simple machine that does the process much easier than with tools, you could make like 400 an hour.
I assume the NCR has a mine that digs up any specific chemicals theyre missing that the normal economy doesn't make, and then they might not even have a full ammo factory, just a warehouse full of people using reloading presses. Could make tens of thousands a day.
@@thelordofcringe given how in new vegas most of the encampments are practically begging for supplies both munitions and otherwise they probably use most of the bullets on fighting the BoS or for trading. The logistics of the ncr as a whole is a bit different from the ncr forces in the mojave and the ncr troopers are mostly expendable cannon fodder in most tactics anyway so I just don’t see why they would give them any extra ammunition when they could use it for other higher ranking/elite forces that would actually put it to good use when compared to farmers with basic firearm training in tin vests and helmets with a cloth uniform.
@greggoleggo9160 I mean, again, ammo is likely their most plentiful supply. What they cant get delivered by the crimson caravan from the west, they can also supplement with gun runners.
When they say their supplies are short, I mostly take that as meaning actual supplies. Food, medical supplies, clean water, the main 3 concerns of any traveler. They are always out of these kinds of things, to the point of relying on hunting, not being able to treat their wounded properly, and seeming to have mostly dirty water in their camps. Water I'd imagine is especially a problem. They can't go down to the Colorado since legion patrols are heavy, so they have to rely on tainted water basically everywhere south of the small lake and the dam. Camp McCarran and the ranger HQ seem to have water from their pipeline from the lake, but everywhere south needs to be supplied, and they can't spare people up north so it's probably being shipped up the I15.

i only had one problem with the ncr overhual - camp mccarran - something w boyds invetory is broken, but if you unistall the mod and use the console to give her new better armor you can reinstall no problem

For NCR Enhancement, I actually disagree with the embassy being improved in any way. Mr. House deliberately gave them a crappy rundown building to further salt the wound over the fact he negotiated a very lop sided contract in favor of Vegas with the NCR. It's no secret how House feels about them.
One of the mods required the dust mod for the weapon pack to work. Is there a way around it?

I was reading the requirements and it needed some weapon packs. And one of the weapon packs needed dust. Unless that WAS optional and I didn’t comprehend it well
Edit: ok I tested to see if I could play without DUST Simulator and my game couldn’t load the weapons

i would say that the enclave commander mod fits better instead of the ncr commander, seeing as you can just set the soldiers to be with the ncr, and you can have some more functionalities like taking prisoners and bombing

It’s nice but seeing Rangers were more of a cowboy outfit or the patrol armor is based on the lore because the rangers themselves are professionals so they don’t really have to wear tactical gear or a flak jacket like a trooper. It’s like how a lot of US special forces, especially during the war on Isis and the warning rock, we’re wearing civilian clothing having beards, and even wearing jeans

if you look at nexus you will see there's almost no mr. house mods and a handful of securitron mods. i might do a strip overhaul video and include them in that.
Would you ever be willing to help someone new to modding? I’ve watched tons of videos since 2014 on modding but have yet to build a pc. I will soon though and find it hard to follow the tutorials. I will provide the list of mods and will do the work myself and will pay some money for time. Just asking for some guidance maybe like a voice or video call. Won’t get mad like I’ve heard other people mention or anything and will understand if there are things you don’t know or can’t help with. If not I understand completely! Love the videos.
I will help however i can but the thing is I play with lots of mods that other people consider outdated or just bad for stability. I can tell you which basic mods to download first, which software to use for downloading and sorting mods, and some of my personal picks to get a more modernized fnv.( The mods I used to play with before youtube). when you want to get started let me know in the nexus forums. i do prefer not to use voice call or video calls if possible because then i need to set up my room with microphone and all but if there's something too hard to understand then i will tell you by voice call. and also there's no need for money or anything. It will be my pleasure to help a fellow fnv player.

"In the NCR" is not that great for someone who want a real NCR soldier experience, as besided taking the NCR belonging and having a mute follower, imo you overall still look like a glorified civilian than an actual part of the army
I suggest "The NCR" by TheNanoByteGhost from Moddb, this mod is all what "in the NCR" should be, gives many quests as soldier of the NCR from patrolling wastelands to fighting legionaries, with the ability to join various divisions such as infantry, heavy, 1st recon, medic, military police and rangers and even rise the ranks from recruit to general
calling NCR vertibird support is totally unrealistic, considering how desperate the NCR during their campaign in mojave was, like chief hanlon says "the NCR's supply lines spread too thin", implying they have sortages of supply and or even manpower
i would rather get paid by NCR for siding with them tbh, plain and simple

I'm so sick of having to improve Bethesda games with 1000+ mods every time. I know that NV isn't technically a Bethesda game, but it doesn't change the fact that you need mods to fix what Bethesda didn't bother to do, either by itself, or by putting a crunch on Obsidian.

oh wow idk how i didnt realise this sooner - but with the technology that allows AI voices, its possible for modders to add voices to the npcs that they create without having to find and pay voice actors as they can just use AI generated voices for new npcs!

Mods are free, community based entertainment where people work for thousands of hours with zero pay to give you two hours of fun. Trying to deprive modders of AI tools helps literally nobody, not even the upper middle class or straight up rich people, all represented by unions, who make up the majority of voice acting in games now.
I'm sorry but the AI voices make mods so much better. I remember playing Skyrim as a kid and like, 1% of the mods having good voice acting, if at all.
