First thing would be to update the firmware on the library. If it is rather older firmware, you will need newer firmware for an LTO6. We always update the firmware on the libraries we sell to the latest version. Mainly because if just a library is purchased, we don't know what drive will be used with it. You can use IBM ITDT to update the firmware. Also make sure the tray is for IBM and not DELL, HP, Spectra Logic ... etc.
