I've played the two betas and never noticed it. Chances are anyone just playing the playlist won't too. But it does prevent abusing the feature in leaderboards, which is kinda genius.
heres another money tip: always check bundle price. sometimes they can be pretty ridiculous. for example, the bike that you need to buy for bikes lover playlist cost 400,000 but buying in a bundle is only 315,000 and you got an additional bike
Worth mentioning regarding fast travel: after starting a playlist (as in, visting its container for the first time), you can always fast travel there. For example, let's say you just completed the last race of the Made in Japan playlist, you can just fast travel back to the container instead of driving there. This also lets you reduce some distances to new events, if you fast travel to an unlocked container that is nearby.
I made over 500k and won 2 free vehicles (Porsche and Supra ) just during the trial and I didn’t even finish 3 of the playlist …I say that to say you literally can ignore the micro transactions it’s your fault if you buy into that
@@zackfreeman3985 tbh I wasn’t paying a lot of attention because I was having genuine fun but I can tell you at the end of each playlist is a 75,000 bonus and then you unlock the ability to do certain fairly quick task related to the playlist for about the same pay as a race would pay you. Just take your time with it don’t rush it and you’ll find a way that suits your play style best ….all the “fast money farming” techniques kinda spoil the fun
@@zackfreeman3985racing isn't going to be your primary source of income, you really start to make money after you finish a playlist and unlock challenges for the cars they give you. The challenges are super easy and you will complete a good portion of them without even knowing it. You can easily make 25-50k per challenge. I made it to 1 million in a few hours just by completing 3 playlists and doing the challenges you unlock afterwards
Importing cars from the previous game is dumb. Can't use them in any of the races (only becomes option in repayable.) Then some of the races were its a requirement to purchase those specific vehicles is dumb because you don't even use those either. Always driving a loaner vehicle. The rewind option is pretty nifty.
Not me it's was a big disappointment knowing you can't create your own maps for drag racing and street racing😂 forza always gonna win when you can have a custom drag map where you can customize landscape and buildings, also forza in game tuning is so much better than motorfest not to mention inviting people to your custom maps😂😂 motorfest is to arcade like but that's all you ps players have had so ig lmao

I’m loving the tracks with different terrain. And just mowing down bushes and trees in the wooded areas, with ramps that launch you. I’m not good at drifting so I’m not a huge fan of the tracks with a lot of u-turn roads 8/10

Good video, but I'd like to disagree on the Nitro usage and warn people about a small but crucial quirk of the Rewind feature: 1. Do save some nitro for situations like exiting turns, cutting corners, taking advantage of shortcuts or anything that helps you break away from opponents instead of just overtaking them. The reason for this is the slipstreaming. The effect is strong in this game, and the AI *will* take advantage of it all the time (that's why some people in other comments mistakenly think they have "infinite nitro" - they don't, it's the slipstreaming). So you need to break away from opponents and get about 2 seconds ahead of them as soon as possible. Be patient, overtake normally and *then* use the nitro in the best moments to break away right after. This makes nitro usage more strategic than in most games, but the best thing about it is that there is no rubberbanding in the last third of the race if you're playing well, like many other racing games have. You play good enough to break away, it's smooth sailing to the end if you keep avoiding mistakes, which is exactly how it should be. Tense and very competitive in the first half, but doesn't penalize you for doing well later. 2. The Rewind function actually doesn't pause or rewind the timer like in other games. Time just keeps going normally. This makes no difference at all if you're just trying to win races solo, but notice that all leaderboards are based on time and the Summit is a leaderboard-based event. So using the Rewind feature actually means taking a HUGE hidden time penalty. Say you make a mistake that would cost you about 2 seconds and let an opponent overtake you. You Rewind 4-5 seconds to undo the mistake. That may prevent you from being overtaken, but the timer still counted those 6-7 seconds total. In the Summit, that is enough to cost you dozens, if not more than a hundred, places in the leaderboard. Even Gran Turismo doesn't penalize most corner cutting with that much time, it's usually 1 to 3 seconds. If you ask me, this is borderline genius design. Most people will still use Rewind as intended without even noticing the difference, while it still prevents abusing the feature in leaderboards. An entirely unobtrusive, but crucial idea.
How does the upgrades work? Are they seperate per vehicle class? Lets say if I choose to scrap some lower end parts for Street Tier 2, could I end up scrapping useful parts for Street Tier 1? Or are they separated so i don't see Street Tier 1 parts when looking for upgrades on a Street Tier 2 car?
Actually the game is constantly berating me for not using Nitro, even though I have it turned off in the difficulty options so I can't use it to win... A lot of the playlist voice over can be heard saying [ Use that Nitro to get more air! ] [ Use that Nitro on the straight ] [ HEY DON'T FORGET TO USE YOUR NITRO ] So point 9 was wrong. I found need for speed to be terrible open world and never tried the crew. My friends say I would enjoy it but they said u can't drift really in open world and also you get random race events that start in open world and the drifting is nowhere near the forza experience
I’m a die hard NFS gamer & iv played FH & Gran Turismo. Played TC1 for the open world map of the USA where iv vacayed many times IRL. The Crew Motorfest is a massive step up from Ivory Tower & Ubisoft 2 previous Crew titles, I’m playing single player & having a blast. It’s basically FH but with greater graphics quality, far greater race & vehicle events, a plethora of challenges, loads & loads of collectibles, plus of course aircraft & speedboat 🚤 racing. Can’t beat it. I’m a huge fan of drifting in games & TCM does not disappoint. Have already won the 2023 Supra Drift Car which is rewarded at the end of the drift playlist & am replaying all the drift playlist events either said car. I believe that customisation is far better than NFS, as are the livery options from the gaming community that are only matched by the GC on Grid Legends, itself another great albeit non open world but track racing game. Highly recommended 😃👍

You can re race them once completing any playlist. For me, I totally understand the gaming community upset at this, but at least you can replay all events & races with your own vehicles that you’ve customised & upgraded.

Now i can finally sell my Series X, i bought it for Forza Horizon 5 and Starfield. I was going to keep it for Forza Horizon 5, because we all know how Starfield turned out, so with Motorfest on PS5 i no longer need this Xbox. The PS5 needed an open-world racer, and now it's here. What separates Motorfest from Horizion? For me, it's the amount of bikes and how they handle, it's just awesome. After a long work week, i got up 5:45am to get some PVP races in and they were full lol.
Motorfest is ok but Forza is goat. And Starfield is great? Everyone says it's the best Bethesda game and I agree. 60 hours in and I haven't even scratched the surface. I will put more time in it than Fallout of Skyrim. Sounds like you never played either of them and want to justify playing sub par games.

This is very true, but its the current price range of pretty much all triple A games, But the game has a lot to offer compared to a lot of other racing games, I would suggest trying the 5 hours free trail, and then deciding if it feels worth it or not.
Yeah, it's steep for any game, and especially a game that has an in-game currency. If you want to charge $70+, depending on version, you shouldn't also get to load your game with a predatory in game currency as well, designed to skip the artificially created grind. If I ever pick this up it'll be on a huge sale in a few years time. $70 is sucker pricing.

I always appreciated the simpler customization of The Crew it Keeps the ricers at bay….you saw the shit show NFS Heat and Unbound turned into but I was hoping they would’ve did something about the permanent chrome finish on all the wheels other than manufacturer wheels Wouldn’t mind some gloss and brushed chrome/aluminum finishes. that and donuts are probably my only gripe with this game

One tip I have is to turn off the flying assist in the difficulty settings. Flying sucks ass when it's on

No is not lol crew 2 is ass compared to this. Only reason why lots of people prefer crew 2 over this it’s because of the map, this has better graphics, better sounding cars and so on

$70 seems steep for a racing game
This is very true, but its the current price range of pretty much all triple A games, But the game has a lot to offer compared to a lot of other racing games, I would suggest trying the 5 hours free trail, and then deciding if it feels worth it or not.

Yeah, it's steep for any game, and especially a game that has an in-game currency. If you want to charge $70+, depending on version, you shouldn't also get to load your game with a predatory in game currency as well, designed to skip the artificially created grind. If I ever pick this up it'll be on a huge sale in a few years time. $70 is sucker pricing.

Really Enjoying the game so far, my only dislike, is the lack of customization, its pretty bland
I always appreciated the simpler customization of The Crew it Keeps the ricers at bay….you saw the shit show NFS Heat and Unbound turned into but I was hoping they would’ve did something about the permanent chrome finish on all the wheels other than manufacturer wheels Wouldn’t mind some gloss and brushed chrome/aluminum finishes. that and donuts are probably my only gripe with this game
